Being One in soul by Being one with Christ in His Inward Parts for the Body of Christ

September 28, 2023 by aGodMan 14 Comments

For God is my witness how I long after you all in the inward parts of Christ Jesus. Phil. 1:8

In order for us to be one in soul, we need to be one with Christ in His emotions, His inward parts; we need to put on the inward parts of Christ, His inward affection, tender mercy, and sympathy. To be one in soul, first we need to think the one thing; our mind […]

Live in the Inward Parts of Christ to Cultivate the Consciousness of the Body of Christ

February 9, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

We cultivate the consciousness of the Body of Christ by living in the inward parts of Christ (Phil. 1:8; Col. 3:10-12, 15; Philem. 7, 12, 20). Philem. 7 For I had much joy and encouragement over your love, because the inward parts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother. Philem. 12 Him I have sent back to you — him, that is, my very heart.

If we as members of the Body of Christ have the consciousness of the Body of Christ and see others suffer or being blessed, we will identify with them and feel the same hardship or blessing (see 1 Cor. 12:26-27). When we were regenerated by God with the divine life, we received not only the […]

Taking Christ’s Feeling as our Feeling and having the Consciousness of the Body

February 7, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

The more we live in the inward parts of Christ Jesus, the greater will be our consciousness of the Body of Christ and the stronger will be our feeling for the Body of Christ.

As believers in Christ and members of the Body of Christ, we need to live in the reality of the Body of Christ by taking Christ’s feeling for the Body as our own feeling for the Body, having the consciousness of the Body and a strong feeling for the Body. We need to learn from […]

To Live in the Reality of the Body we need to Live in the Inward Parts of Christ Jesus

Phil. 1:8 For God is my witness how I long after you all in the inward parts of Christ Jesus.

If we would live in the reality of the Body of Christ we need to live in the inward parts of Christ Jesus, knowing His inward parts and living one with Him. This means first that we allow Him to make His home in our heart. The Lord Jesus came into our spirit through regeneration, […]

Continually Experiencing Christ in His Inward Parts for the Church as the One New Man

February 17, 2018 by aGodMan 4 Comments

2 Cor. 11:10 The truthfulness of Christ is in me. 1 Cor. 16:24 My love in Christ Jesus be with you all. Phil. 1:8 For God is my witness how I long after you all in the inward parts of Christ Jesus.

We need to be those who are continually experiencing Christ in His inward parts for the church as the one new man. We need to learn from the apostle Paul to remain in the inward parts of Christ, have a feeling for the Body, and live the church life with the consciousness of the new […]

Living in the Inward Parts of Christ and Realising our Equal Status in the New Man

February 16, 2018 by aGodMan 6 Comments

In the new man the members love one another in faith (Titus 3:15). The relationship is of love through faith. The apostle appreciates the fellowship of Philemon’s faith (Philem. 6) and is encouraged by his love (v. 7); thus he entreats him to receive Onesimus because of this love (v. 9). These two virtues are referred to in a combined way. Philemon has both of them, not only toward the Lord, but also toward all the saints. Witness Lee, Life-Study of Philemon, p. 2

In the church as the one new man all believers have an equal status, for they all are filled and saturated with Christ, and they love one another in faith by living in the inward parts of Christ. In Colossians we see both the definition and the practical application of the one new man with […]
