We are Christians, Christ-Men, one with Christ to Live Christ in our Christian Life

October 17, 2026 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

But if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this name. 1 Pet. 4:16

We believers in Christ are Christians, Christ-men, those who are one with Christ, having Christ as our contents in an organic union with Him for us to live Christ for His magnification in our daily life; each one of us has our journey assigned by the Lord as a functioning member of the Body for the building up of the Body.

Lord Jesus, unveil us to see what it means for us to be Christians, Christ-men! May we realise that we are joined to the Lord as one spirit to live Christ today! Amen, Lord, supply us bountifully as we remain in the organic union with You. We want to remain in our mingled spirit, one with You, for us to live Christ so that Christ may live in us. May our Christian life be a reproduction of the life Christ lived on the earth, and may our daily living express Christ in all things! Amen!

This week we have been prayerfully considering what does the Bible say concerning us as followers of Jesus, and in particular we focused on being disciples of Christ, believers in Christ, saints of God, and Christians.

We are disciples of Christ, those who are following and learning Christ according to the reality that is in Jesus. We experience Christ in His experiences so that we may become His organic reproduction and duplication for Him to have a corporate expression of Himself for His glory in the church and in the New Jerusalem! Amen!

We are daily being discipled by Christ as we come to His word and place ourselves under the hearing of faith so that we may live the same way that He lived.

We are believers in Christ, those who have life and live by the faith of the Son of God. When we heard the gospel, when we saw something of the preciousness of Christ, we were infused with Christ as our faith, our believing ability.

Day by day we love to come to the Lord in His word, contacting Him as the written word in the living word of God so that He may become the applied word as the Spirit dispensed into us to be our faith.

Each one of us, the believers in Christ, have a certain portion of faith, a measure of faith, that God has given to us.

We need to think of ourselves in a proper way, with a sober mind, as God has apportioned to each a measure of faith. We are saints of God, those who have been separated unto God and made holy by Him.

He not only saved us but even more, He is sanctifying us to make us as holy as He is holy. Positionally, we have been sanctified with the Lord’s redeeming blood.

Dispositionally, we are being sanctified with His holy nature. Praise the Lord! In this portion we want to see that we believers in Christ are Christians, Christ-men, those who are one with Christ in their daily living so that others see Christ living in us.

We are Christians, Christ-men, those One with Christ Living in the Organic Union with Christ to Magnify Christ

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17

In Acts 11:26 we are told that for the first time the disciples of Christ were called Christians in Antioch; this was somewhat a nickname, even a derogatory name.

They were adherents of Christ, the followers of Christ, those who always talked about Christ, so they are Christ-ians (Acts 11:26; 26:28).

The disciples in Antioch were given such a nickname as a term of reproach by others, indicating that they must have borne a strong testimony for the Lord.

They were so much for Christ, they testified of Christ so much, and they expressed Christ so much, that others called them Christians.

In a sense, this is a derogatory term, a term of reproach; in another sense, this is something very positive.

We are not just men; we are Christians, Christ-men, those who are one with Christ. In 1 Peter 4:16 we see this term again, denoting those who are adherents of Christ, bearing His reproach.

We Christians share in the sufferings of Christ; we are so one with Christ that we share in His sufferings, suffering for the sake of Christ.

We suffer in the name of Christ, for we are in His very person; we express Him, and even as He suffered, so we suffer.

We believers in Christ have believed into Christ (John 3:15) and we were baptised into His name (Acts 19:5).

We were baptised into Christ (Gal. 3:27). We are now in Christ (1 Cor. 1:30) and we are one with Christ as one spirit (1 Cor. 6:17).

Even as He lived on earth, so we live now today; even as He was persecuted, hated, and reproached, so are we today in His name and for His sake.

If we as believers suffer as Christians, let us not be ashamed, but let us glorify God in this name. Sometimes we get put down, reviled, mistreated, and persecuted because we are Christians.

Even though many of us live in a so-called Christian country, the whole world is against the genuine Christians.

May we not be ashamed to glorify God and may we not be discouraged when we are reproached for His sake. Rather, may we realise that we have been joined to the Lord as one spirit, and may we live in the organic union with Him.

We Christians not only belong to Christ; we are Christ-men, we are one spirit with Him, and we live in the organic union with Christ to magnify Christ.

And when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it happened with them that for a whole year they were gathered in the church and taught a considerable number and that the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Acts 11:26 And Agrippa replied to Paul, By so little are you trying to persuade me to become a Christian? Acts 26:28We are Christians, Christ-men, those who are one with Christ, having Christ as our bountifully supplying contents in an organic union with Him to live Him for His magnification in our daily life (Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Pet. 4:16; 1 Cor. 6:17; 2 Cor. 4:7; Phil. 1:19-21).

He is our bountiful contents as we remain in the organic union with Him, and He bountifully supplies us for us to live the Christian life for the magnification of Christ.

If we suffer for being such a person, we should not feel ashamed but rather be bold to magnify Christ!

Christ lives in us, we are one spirit with Christ, and we are bold to magnify Christ in our confession by our holy and excellent manner of life! We Christians are God-men who live Christ, express Christ, and glorify Christ, and we want Christ to be magnified in us.

The goal of being a Christian and the destiny that God has ordained for us in His economy is for us to walk by the Spirit in order to live Christ for God’s glory, His expression (Gal. 2:20; 5:16, 25; 6:17; Isa. 43:7; 1 Cor. 6:20; 10:31).

God ordained us for His economy so that we may walk by the Spirit to live Christ for the glory of God.

What a wonderful Christian life we have, living and walking by the Spirit so that Christ may be magnified through us for the glory of God!

May we never be ashamed of being a Christian but rather, may we remain in the organic union with the Lord to live Christ, magnify Christ, and let Christ be known and seen through us in our daily living!

Lord Jesus, we love You and we want to express You today. Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are Christians, those who are one with Christ to express Christ and magnify Christ! Amen, Lord, be expressed through us. We want to bear the name of Christian as an honour, for we are Christ-men who are the Lord’s testimony on earth today! Amen, Lord, we want to live by Your life in us to express You. Thank You for putting us into Christ through baptism, and thank You for coming into us as life. We open to You. We love You. We love to be joined to You. We want to remain in the organic union with You in spirit. Amen, Lord, we are not ashamed to be called Christians, for we are truly one with You to be Your testimony on earth today. May our living glorify God. May we live a life in and for God’s economy to live Christ for God’s glory, His expression! Amen, Lord, may we not be ashamed of the name of Christ and may we not be afraid to be reproached for the sake of Christ! Rather, may we be bold to magnify Christ in our confession by our holy and excellent manner of life as Christians! Amen!

We Christians have Christ Living in us for us to Live Christ, taking the Journey the Lord Assigned to us

For you have been bought with a price. So then glorify God in your body. 1 Cor. 6:20 Therefore whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Cor. 10:31

Every Christian on this earth has a special journey that the Lord has assigned to him as a functioning member of Christ for the building up of His Body (Acts 13:22, 25, 36; 20:24; 1 Cor. 9:24; 12:14-22; 2 Tim. 4:7-8).

Each one of us as believers in Christ are Christians, and we are running the Christian race, that is, taking the journey that the Lord has assigned to each one of us. We need to take the journey ourselves – no one can replace us, nor can we replace anyone else.

On the one hand, we are in the Body of Christ, being built up with the saints in the church life for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ. On the other hand, each one of us has our own Christian journey.

John the Baptist completed his course; Paul testified also that he wanted to finish his course, even though this may imply imprisonment, as he went to Jerusalem.

He said that he didn’t consider his life precious to himself so that he would finish his course; the Lord led him to go in a particular direction, and he followed the Lord’s leading to go on his Christian journey.

In 2 Timothy 4 we see that Paul fought the good fight, finished his course, and was expecting the Lord to give him the reward.

Each one of us Christians needs to take the journey the Lord assigned to us. As we walk on our Christian journey, we live one spirit with the Lord, for we have Christ living in us for us to live Christ.

We have been baptised into Christ (Gal. 3:27), and we are one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17).

By believing in Christ, we believed into Him and became one spirit with Him. We do not walk on our Christian journey by ourselves, lonely, trying to somehow find God’s will for our life and then doing what we think the Lord speaks to us.

Rather, we live our Christian life in the organic union with the Lord, and we live Christ.

As Christians, we are of Christ and we are one with Christ, and we live by Christ, even live Christ in our daily life. Our Christian life is a life of living Christ.

It is not a life of trying to please God or do the things that we think God wants from us; it is a life of living Christ.

Christ is our life (Col. 3:4), and we learn to take Him as our life so that, when He lives, we live, and when we live, He is expressed through us.

This is both mysterious yet real, for we are mysterious people yet we live a normal life, a normal Christian life, contacting the Lord and living Christ.

The central thought in the Bible is that Christ wants to be our life so that He may live in us to be our very living, our expression.

We as Christians have the goal of living Christ; we live the Christian life to live Christ, to express Christ.

Our destiny as Christians, the destiny that God has ordained for us in His economy, is that we live Christ.

We are daily learning to live one spirit with the Lord so that Christ may live in us.

But I consider my life of no account as if precious to myself, in order that I may finish my course and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus to solemnly testify of the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24 I have fought the good fight; I have finished the course; I have kept the faith. 2 Tim. 4:7We are like the disciples in Antioch, having our daily life and living so much wrapped up and involved with Christ, that Christ lives in us, Christ is expressed through us, and others see Christ when they see us; therefore, they call us Christ-men, Christians.

As we do this and that, as we live our daily life, as we take care of so many things, we live Christ.

Paul declared that Christ lives in him (Gal. 2:20) and he said that to him to live was Christ (Phil. 1:21).

On the one hand, Paul lived Christ, and on the other hand, for Paul to live was Christ. Inwardly, Christ was Paul’s life, and outwardly, Christ was Paul’s living. Paul and Christ had one life and one living, for Christ’s life was Paul’s life, and Paul’s living was Christ’s living.

It is the same with us today. We live in the organic union with Christ; Christ is our life inwardly and Christ is our living outwardly.

Thank the Lord that we have this wonderful organic union with the Lord which causes us to be so close and intimate with Christ that we are one spirit with Him, and when others see us, they see Christ!

May this be our reality in our daily Christian life. May we walk on the Christian journey God assigned to us in the organic union with the Lord so that we may live Christ and express Christ.

May we complete our course, running the race with endurance, so that others may see Christ in us, we may gain Christ, and Christ would be our supremely great reward.

Lord Jesus, we want to walk on our Christian journey that You have assigned to us. Amen, Lord, we want to live a Christian life and walk on the Christian journey one with You so that we may reach the goal and gain the prize! We follow Your leading in our Christian life. We love You, Lord, and we pursue You in love. We take You as our life and we want to live Christ. Hallelujah, Christ came into us when we believed into Him, and we were put into Christ when we were baptised! Amen, Lord, we want to live one spirit with You today. We don’t want to merely live by Christ, where we live and we try to please Christ; we want to live Christ so that Christ may live in us! Praise the Lord, we have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us! Amen, Lord, we take You as our life inwardly and we allow You to live in us so that we may live Christ. May we and You have one life and one living. Keep us in the organic union with You today! Praise the Lord, we are so closely and intimately related to Christ that we are even one spirit with Him! Amen!
