He is like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. He does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit. Jer. 17:8

Christ is the good land, we have been rooted in Him, and we can walk in Christ as our living land and take time to absorb Christ as our rich soil so that we may grow with the elements we absorb from the soil (Col. 2:6-7). Hallelujah, as believers in Christ we have been rooted […]

God’s Will is that we Know and Enjoy Christ, Estimating Everything According to Him

January 18, 2020 by aGodMan 2 Comments

Beware that no one carries you off as spoil through his philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ. Col. 2:8

God’s will is that the all-inclusive, extensive Christ be our portion, our life, our constituent, and our peace; we should estimate and evaluate everything according to this all-inclusive, extensive Christ. Furthermore, we need to be infused, saturated, and permeated with the all-inclusive, extensive Christ until in our experience He is everything to us. Amen! If […]

October 8, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

As therefore you have received the Christ, Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being established in the faith even as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Col. 2:6-7

As believers in Christ we have been rooted in Christ and we need to grow in Him and be built up in Him by spending adequate time with the Lord in His word to absorb His riches. Christ has been allotted to us as the portion of the saints in the light; we have been […]

we need to be deeply rooted in Christ to bear fruit and bear His fragrance

In Hosea 14:5-7 we see that the cedars of Lebanon are associated with three things: the lily, the olive tree, and the vine. The cedars of Lebanon are very tall and the roots are very deep, and they signify the Christians who strike their roots deep into God. For us to have a pure and […]

a trainee’s testimony – we need to develop deep roots in the Lord by spending time with Him

December 20, 2011 by Christian Student 2 Comments

As Christians we are like little plants – we don’t have much power, but if we have deep roots in Christ we will be unshakable, immovable. Sometimes our roots are in something else than Him. As a result, we are easily shaken, and with any small situation we are blown off. Our roots may be in our campus work. We may be enjoying the Lord, but as soon as we suffer some persecution from those with whom we study or work we are rapidly blown away. We need to be rooted in Him, but how?
