The nature of God is oneness, and everything He does / everything that has its source in God bears the mark of oneness. God does everything according to His nature of oneness – He created one corporate man (Adam), He called one person (Abraham), and in the New Testament He has only one Body of Christ, only One new man, etc.
All the humanly incurable and unresolvable problems in the mankind are against God’s oneness. Even the distinction between the Jews and the Gentiles – on the cross, God made the Jews and the Gentiles into one new man in the body of Christ! The Lord Jesus prayed for the oneness (John 17), His death solved eternally the problem of the division, and the Lord created in Himself one new man!
The Oneness that existed only in the Triune God now is available for us to enjoy and experience! This oneness is in Christ, and this oneness is actually Christ Himself! He is the One who announced Peace as the gospel: He is peace, He made peace, and He preaches peace as the gospel (Eph. 2:15-17).
And this peace is a corporate matter, a Body matter. Hallelujah, all the enmity was slain and in His Body He created the one new man!
What is the Oneness of the Triune God?
What is this oneness of the Triune God? The Spirit Himself as the consummation of the processed Triune God, the essence of the resurrection of Christ, is this oneness. We have this oneness since we have the Spirit – now we just need to keep the oneness of the Spirit.
In Acts 2 we see that the early disciples applied the oneness of the Spirit to their entire being – the application of the oneness of the Spirit to our mind, emotion, and will, brings in the one accord! The practical application of the oneness of the Spirit to our whole being brings in the one accord, the oneness in practicality. We need to be willing to learn to apply this oneness of the Spirit (which we already have) to our whole being.
When the Lord breathed into the disciples, this diverse group of people – who were crucified with the Lord and resurrected with Him – received the essence of oneness, the Spirit. Then after the Lord’s ascension, through their praying together in the upper room for 10 days, this oneness of the Spirit was applied to their entire being and they had the one accord which brought in the impact for the Lord’s move!
Praying with the vital companions and with the saints exposes always what you really are in your being. When we pray, we’re being exposed, shined on, purified and cleansed, and then built up!
The Lord’s Recovery is the Recovery of the Oneness of the Body
The Lord’s recovery today must have at its base the recovery of the unique and genuine oneness of the Body of Christ. We are not here to invent another thing separate and divisive in the Body – the Lord’s recovery is actually the recovery of the unique oneness of the Body of Christ.
The recovery of life and of the truth is for this – for the oneness of the Body of Christ. The recovery of the church and the local ground of the church is for this – for the oneness of the Body of Christ.
And what is the oneness of the Body of Christ? The Triune God becoming our experience is the oneness of the Body of Christ – just like the Lord said in John 17:21 – that they may be one… even as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they may also be in us… The more we experience and enjoy the Triune God, the more we keep and experience the oneness of the Body of Christ.
This is the essence of the Lord’s recovery – daily experiencing the Triune God for the keeping of the oneness of the Body of Christ. Some people may spend decades in “the sphere of the recovery” but never touch the essence and the intrinsic significance of the Lord’s recovery – the oneness of the Body of Christ.
Lord, what about us – are we in Your recovery intrinsically and essentially? Lord, what are You recovering today + am I in it?
The Lord’s recovery is NOT a recovery of practices, but rather it is the recovery of the oneness of the Body of Christ, which is the experiencing of the Triune God in our whole being. It is simply the processed and consummated Triune God being applied to our entire being. As we keep the oneness and apply it, we may arrive at the one accord.

Amen, Lord, bring us in Your recovery intrinsically! May we care for nothing else but the oneness of the Body of Christ! Lord, we want to experience the Triune God more and more today! May we be those who keep the oneness of the Spirit and apply the Triune God as the Spirit as the essence of oneness to our entire being! Bring our whole being into the Triune God daily! Reproduce the oneness You have among the Three in the Godhead – among us, in the Body of Christ! Gain what You are after, Lord!
