Living in the Kingdom of God: God’s Reign in us through the Inward Growth of Life

October 1, 2026 by aGodMan 13 Comments

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matt. 6:33

As believers in Christ, we are living in the kingdom of God; the kingdom of God is God in Christ, being the totality of the divine life with all its activities, the realm of the divine life for this life to more and do what it wants, an organism constituted with God’s life as the realm of life for His ruling, and Christ growing in us for God to gain a realm in our being where He can rule and reign.

Lord Jesus, thank You for bringing us into the kingdom of God! Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are part of the kingdom of God, and God’s kingdom is in our being! Praise the Lord, we now are living in the kingdom of God! We love You, Lord, and we want to live in our spirit so that we may be in God’s kingdom in reality. Keep us turning to You. Gain more ground in our being. Grow in us and spread in us so that the kingdom of God may expand in our being! Amen!

We believers in Christ need to see who we are, what we are, and where we are. We are not only sinners saved by grace; much more, we are God-men who have the divine life and nature of God in us!

Because we are men born of God with His life and nature, we today follow the pattern of the Lord Jesus to live not by our natural life but by the divine life. He is in us as the Spirit, living in us and through us.

We do not seek to improve ourselves or build ourselves up to be something or someone that pleases God according to what the Bible says.

We realise that the One who lived the life of a God-man in the Gospels now lives in us as the Spirit.

So we turn to Him, we exercise our spirit to be one spirit with Him, and we allow Him to fill us and occupy us so that we may live Him and express Him.

We want to live Christ and express Christ both personally and corporately. He lived the life of a God-man, and He became a life-giving Spirit to dispense Himself into us and come into us to live in us the same kind of life today.

He is the life-giving Spirit, the compound Spirit, the indwelling Spirit, the sevenfold intensified Spirit. He is able to counteract any degradation of the church and make us His overcomers.

It is not by our striving and trying that we can express God and fulfill His purpose; it is by our turning to Him, contacting Him, and living one spirit with Him so that we may be in His kingdom in reality and practicality.

May we get out of any realm of self-cultivation to better ourselves with a proper behaviour and enter into the realm of enjoying God, living Christ, and expressing Christ in the kingdom of God.

We Believers in Christ are Living in the Kingdom of God, the Realm of the Divine Life with All its Activities

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Rom. 14:17

As believers in Christ living the proper church life today, we are living in the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom. 14:17).

In dealing with ourselves, we are righteous; in dealing with others, we have peace; in dealing with God and living before God, we have joy.

If we lack in any of these things, we are wrong; we don’t live in the reality of the kingdom of the heavens.

Many times we are for ourselves and in ourselves, being very selfish; when we’re selfish, we’re not under the control of the heavens.

But when we allow the Lord to rule and reign in us, we deal with ourselves according to righteousness, we keep peace with others, and we’re joyful before God and with God.

Thank the Lord that we believers in Christ are living in the kingdom of God! The kingdom of God today is the practical church life.

We live a God-man life, the life of a God-man, and we live in the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is not something we should wait for in the future, as some Christians believe.

The kingdom of life is here today, the church life, practically. The kingdom of God is God Himself (Mark 1:15; Matt. 6:33).

It is not some external thing, some extraterrestrial thing that one day will drop down from heaven to earth.

The kingdom of God is God Himself, and God was incarnated in the Lord Jesus; the kingdom is the presence of Jesus, for where He is, there the kingdom is also.

When Christ was on the earth, wherever He was, the kingdom of God was also. The kingdom of God is God in Christ being the totality of the divine life with all its activities (John 11:26; 10:10; 14:6).

The human life is what we are, who we are, and the totality of what we do and say, including our inward thinking, our digestion, assimilation, and circulation of blood.

There are a lot of things going on with our human life, and the human life is the totality of all these activities, together with our human being.

The kingdom of God is the totality of all that God in Christ is with all His activities. The sum total of what God is and does is in the church as the Body of Christ, and ultimately the New Jerusalem will be that sum total! Amen!

Christ has come into us as the kingdom of God, for He sowed Himself as the seed of the kingdom into our spirit, and now He grows in the soil of our heart to become the kingdom of God in us. Praise the Lord!

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live. John 11:25 ...I have come that they may have life and may have it abundantly. John 10:10 Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6The kingdom of God is the realm of the divine life for this life to move, to work, to rule, and to govern so that life may accomplish its purpose.

The kingdom of God is not just some kind of dispensation or an age; the kingdom of God is not just some kind of an external thing but a person, a realm where the divine life itself is prevailing and moving, working, ruling, and reigning.

We believers in Christ are living in the kingdom of God; we are living in the realm of what God is, allowing the divine life to move, work, rule, and reign.

The kingdom of God is Christ in us who lives in us, grows in us, and is manifested through us. When we live in the kingdom of God, we live under God’s ruling and reigning.

When we all live under the divine rule of God in the kingdom of God in the church life, we live in oneness and in one accord, and the Lord has a way to rule and reign among us.

But if we try to do our own thing, and not obey the Lord’s inner rule, we bring grievance and hurt to the Body, and the Lord will have to deal with us. May we realise that we are living in the kingdom of God today!

Lord Jesus, we want to live in the kingdom of God today! Hallelujah, we were born of God to enter into the kingdom of God, the realm of God! Praise the Lord, the kingdom of God is God Himself! Amen, Lord, we want to be one with You in our daily living today. We want to deal with ourselves according to righteousness, keep peace with others, and be joyful before and with God. Hallelujah, the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit! Praise the Lord, we today are in the church life as the reality of the kingdom of God practically on the earth! Amen, Lord, thank You for bringing us into the realm of the divine life for this life to move, work, rule, and govern in us so that You may accomplish Your purpose. We want to live one spirit with You today so that You may carry out Your economy in our being. Praise the Lord for God in Christ being in us as life to enable us to live in the kingdom of God for God to have a realm in which He can rule and reign! Amen!

The Kingdom of God is God’s Divine Reign in us Through the Inward Growth of Life

Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth. Matt. 6:10

On the one hand, the kingdom of God is a realm in which God can rule and reign, and in His kingdom, God governs, rules, and reigns.

On the other hand, as we see in the New Testament, the kingdom of God is an organism constituted with God’s life as the realm of life for His ruling, in which He reigns by His life and expresses Himself as the Divine Trinity in the divine life (John 15:1-8, 16, 26).

The best illustration of this organism is the vine tree in John 15; the Father is the husbandman, the Son is the vine, and the Spirit is the life sap, the life flow.

We believers in Christ are the branches, and we together are mingled, even incorporated, as this awesome, universal organism. Christ is a vine tree, a kingdom of life spreading all over the earth.

He has told us to pray, Your kingdom come (Matt. 6:10). But the way the kingdom will come may not be in the way that we think.

In a sense, the kingdom has come already, for Christ has sown Himself as the seed of the kingdom in us. In another sense, however, the kingdom is coming.

Christ has sown Himself into the human earth, and His kingdom has begun to come. Now He grows in us, increases in us, and spreads in us, until His kingdom will come in full.

The kingdom of God is Christ sown in us, Christ growing in us, Christ maturing in us, and Christ reaching the time of harvest.

It is not merely a dispensation or a sphere; it is the totality of Christ being life to us in all His activities.

Just as the animal kingdom is the totality of all the animal life wth all its activities, so the kingdom of God is the totality of the divine life with all its activities.

Thank the Lord that, at the time of our regeneration, we have received Christ as life into us, and now He is growing in us. He has many activities in us.

We are being renewed, transformed, and conformed to the image of Christ, and Christ is being formed in us (2 Cor. 3:18; Rom. 12:2; Gal. 4:19).

When we come together and function in the meetings by speaking something of the Christ we have enjoyed, there are many activities of Christ as life taking place in our being.

This is what God desires: to be incarnated into man. When we call on His name, He comes into us as life. Then, He grows in us, increases in us, and spreads within us.

The more we contact the Lord, the more we read His word with a prayerful spirit, the more we live in the kingdom of God, for He spreads in us and grows within us.

The more Christ grows in us, the more He spreads in our mind, emotion, and will, the more ground He occupies within us. As He occupies more and more ground in our being, He reigns in us and rules within us.

This is the kingdom of God: the divine reign n us through the inward growth of life. We need to grow in life. We need to cooperate with the Lord and let His life grow in us.

As He speaks to us in His word, we should simply say Amen to His speaking. As He touches us concerning certain things, we should simply go along with His inward moving and acting.

All these activities that Christ as life has in our being is the kingdom of God, and we today are living in the kingdom of God.

May we realise that the kingdom of God is the divine reign of God in us through the inward growth of life.

The kingdom of God is not something outward; it is God being life to us, spreading in us, occupying the ground in us, and reigning over our whole being.

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you. 2 Tim. 4:22 And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind... Rom. 12:2 My children, with whom I travail again in birth until Christ is formed in you. Gal. 4:19The secret is our spirit; the kingdom of God comes in our spirit, and it is by the exercise of our spirit that the kingdom of God spreads within us.

The Lord is with our spirit (2 Tim. 4:22) and we are joined to the Lord as one spirit (1 Cor. 6:17).

Satan takes our human body as his dwelling place, for he corrupts it to become the flesh. The Lord Jesus, however, takes the human spirit as His dwelling place. God is sovereign; He preserves the human spirit for Himself.

Satan tries to get there, but he cannot; he tries his best to influence our body and our soul, but he cannot get into our spirit.

May we see our human spirit, live in the mingled spirit, and allow the Lord as life to grow in us and spread in us.

From our spirit, Christ as life spreads in our mind, emotion, and will, to saturate our whole being with Himself. He is growing in us, spreading in us, and taking possession of more ground in our being.

As we open to Him and give Him more ground in our being, we are living in the kingdom of God!

By taking more ground in our being, Christ reigns in us, and this is the inward reigning of the Lord Jesus as the kingdom of God!

Lord Jesus, we open to You: grow in us! May Your kingdom come in us. May there be more growth in life today. Grow and spread from our spirit into all the inward parts of our heart. We exercise our spirit to contact You, enjoy You, and allow You to spread into our mind, emotion, and will! Hallelujah, Christ is in us, joined to us as one spirit, and He is spreading into our soul! Praise the Lord, the kingdom of God is spreading in us by the growth of the divine life in us! Amen, Lord Jesus, rule and reign in us. Gain more ground in us. May Your kingdom spread in every part of our being. We say Amen to Your word. Deal with any darkness and death in our being. Occupy more ground in us. Gain in us what You are after! May You gain an organism constituted with God’s life as the realm of life for Your ruling! Gain the church as the kingdom of God in which You can reign by Your life and express Yourself as the Divine Trinity in the divine life! Amen!

God was incarnated as a man. God’s desire is to come into man. When we call on the name of the Lord Jesus, He comes into us as life. From that point on, God grows within us. God’s growth in us means that He is spreading within us. The more God grows, the more He spreads, and the more ground He occupies within us. The more ground He occupies, the more He reigns. The kingdom is God’s divine reign in us through the inward growth of life. The kingdom of God is God being life to us, spreading in us, occupying the ground in us, and reigning over our whole being.

Satan takes the human body as his dwelling place, but the Lord Jesus takes the human spirit as His dwelling place. God in His sovereignty has preserved the human spirit for Himself. Although the human spirit has been influenced by the evil body and the corrupt mentality to the point that it has been deadened, we can find no hint in the Bible that Satan has ever entered into the human spirit. When we repent and believe in the Lord Jesus, He immediately comes into our spirit. The enemy tries his best to hide this matter of the human spirit from Christians. The Bible tells us clearly that the Lord Jesus Christ is with our spirit (2 Tim. 4:22). From our spirit He is growing and spreading within us, taking possession of more ground in our being. By occupying more ground within us, He actually reigns within us. This is the inward reigning of the Lord Jesus.

Our God reigns! He has reserved our human spirit for Himself.

From there, He is spreading into into our whole being, and gaining more & more ground within us.

Only by God’s divine reigning can we deal with ourselves in righteousness, keep peace with others, and be joyful before & with God.

The Kingdom of the heavens is the totality of Christ being life to us in all His activities.

Amen and amen! Keep us living before You, Lord Jesus.

Dear brother, since Christ as life, as a seed sown, came into our spirit when we called on His name, He is growing and spreading within us, to occupy more ground in our being to reign in life in us that we may live in the reality of the kingdom of the heavens.

For this to continue we must be right with ourselves, at peace with others and joyful before God.

Therefore when we pray “Your Kingdom come”, we are seeking first the reality of living in His Kingdom, which is God Himself, for Him to mature in us as we await and hasten the manifestation of the Kingdom!

Lord Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in us!

This verse is a strong proof that the church in the church age is the kingdom of God, because the context here deals with the church life in the present age. The church is a matter of grace and life, whereas the kingdom is a matter of exercise and discipline. Rom. 14:17 footnote 1 on, kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is the sphere in which God exercises His authority so that He may express His glory for the fulfillment of His purpose. In such a kingdom, what matters is not eating and drinking but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Righteousness denotes that which is right and proper. Those who live in the kingdom of God should be right and proper toward others, toward things, and toward God; with them there should be nothing erroneous, improper, crooked, slanted, or biased. This requires that they be strict in dealing with themselves. Peace is the fruit of righteousness (Heb. 12:11 and note). It characterizes the relationship that those who live in the kingdom of God should have with others and with God. If we are righteous, right, and proper toward others, toward things, and toward God, we will have a peaceful relationship with others and with God. Thus, we will have joy in the Holy Spirit and, in particular, before God. In this way we will be filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:52) and will live out righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, which are the reality of the kingdom of God.

According to the context of this chapter, this verse was written for our receiving of the believers. If we receive the believers according to the apostle’s instruction in this chapter, we will be right and proper toward those whom we receive and will have peace with them; thus, we will have joy in the Holy Spirit, proving that we are living in the reality of God’s kingdom and are under God’s rule. Otherwise, we will not be right or proper toward those whom we do not receive and will not have peace with them; thus, we will not have joy in the Holy Spirit before God, proving that we are not subject to God’s authority in the kingdom of God. Rom. 14:17 footnote 2 on, righteousness.
