Live the Same Kind of Life as Jesus did: being Crucified to Live God for His Expression

As the reproduction and duplication of the first God-man, we believers in Christ should live the same kind of life that He lived, the life of a God-man; He set up a model for our God-man living, and now we follow His pattern by exercising our spirit to contact Him, being conformed to His death by the power of His resurrection so that He may be expressed through us.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being in us to make us the reproduction and duplication of Yourself! Live in us today. We don’t want to try to be spiritual or holy; we simply turn to You and we want to live one spirit with You. May we be conformed to the death of Christ by the power of His resurrection so that Christ may live in us and be expressed through us. Oh Lord, we reject any self-cultivation and we simply want to live Christ for God to be expressed through us! Amen!

What a blessed people we are, those who believe into the Lord Jesus! We have God’s life and nature, and we have a spirit of faith! We do not look at the outward circumstances and we do not focus even on our condition: our full focus is on Christ, for He is our life, our person, and our everything!

We are in the kingdom of God as the realm of the divine species; we are a new class of people, a new species, and we share the same life and nature as Christ.

Even more, we are in the process of becoming the same as Christ. Hallelujah! The scientists think they have discovered all the kingdoms that exist, such as the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, etc, but they miss the most important kingdom: the kingdom of God.

In the kingdom of God there is a particular kind of species that human beings in general don’t know about: God’s species, the divine species.

By repentance and faith in Christ, we enter into the kingdom of God. We are born again to be born of God; we receive the divine life and the divine nature to become a divine species.

We can live the life of a God-man because we are part of the divine species; that is, we can live as Christ did because we have His life and nature into us.

We are God-men not just as a kind of title or designation; we are a new species, we have the divine gene imparted into us, and this divine species causes us to belong to God’s kingdom. Hallelujah!

In this kingdom, the kingdom of God, God can rule and reign freely, and we express God with His image and represent Him with His dominion. As we exercise our spirit to live in the kingdom of God, we live the same kind of life as Jesus did, the life of a God-man.

Live the Same Kind of Life as Jesus Did: Being Crucified to Live God so that God may be Expressed in Humanity

We believers in Christ are those who continue Christ today; we are the reproduction and duplication of Christ as the first God-man. Therefore, we should live the same kind of life as Jesus lived.

This is a life of righteousness, being right with all the people. It is a life of holiness, being separated unto God and saturated with God. It is a life that expresses God in His glory, and it consummates with the redemption of our body so that any corruption in us may be swallowed up by God’s life.

The Lord’s God-man living set up a model for our God-man living; the way He lived was by being crucified to live God so that God might be expressed in humanity. Even as He lived, so we live today. Even as He was in the world, so we are here today.

Christ died to live, being daily crucified to live God, and we are crucified with Christ, no longer living in and by ourselves, and Christ lives in us (Gal. 2:20).

The most crucial matter in our experience of living the God-man life is for us to surrender ourselves to the cross of Christ to be crucified. We have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer we who live but it is Christ who lives in us.

The God-man life is not lived out by me or you trying to imitate Christ; Christ lives the God-man life in us, repeating His living in our living today.

We are just the vessel, the channel, surrendering ourselves to the crucifixion. This is why we need to deny the self and take Christ as our life, following Him by taking up our cross (Matt. 16:24).

The self has to be denied so that Christ can live out His life in us and through us.

The Lord Jesus didn’t live a life of trying to be spiritual, holy, and victorious; rather, He lived a life that was fully according to God’s New Testament economy and for God’s economy.

He served God as a slave, He preached the gospel, He taught the truth, He healed the sick, He cleansed the lepers, He cast out demons, and He did many things.

In all the things He did and in His speaking, even in His behaviour and move on earth, Christ expressed God. He served, He lived, He moved, and He worked, and all these things were just one: He lived the life of a God-man to express God.

This is what we see in the four Gospels – Jesus living the life of a God-man! Amen!

And when we read the book of Acts we see how the disciples, after being regenerated with God’s life at the time the Lord Jesus breathed into them the Holy Spirit in the evening of the day of His resurrection, they also lived the same kind of life.

Jesus lived a God-man life, and His disciples as His reproduction and duplication, lived the same kind of life.

There is a great difference between the Peter we see in the Gospels and the Peter we see in the book of Acts; in the Gospels, he says a lot of unwise and even foolish things to the Lord, but in the book of Acts, he simply expresses Christ and speaks one with the Lord. Peter lived the life of a God-man.

At the end of Acts we see how Paul was taken to Rome to be judged by the Caesar, and in his long and unfortunate voyage, he experienced much hardship, to the point that even the ship he travelled with was shipwrecked.

But God enabled him to live a life beyond any anxiety and fear, and he was given assurance by God that he will be fine; even more, God entrusted all those on the ship to him.

So he encouraged them and, together, they went through the storm and the shipwreck. The Lord kept Paul in His ascendancy and enabled him to live a life far beyond the realm of anxiety.

As he lived a God-man life even in the storm, Paul’s life was fully dignified with the highest standard of human virtues, expressing the most excellent divine virtues. If you look at his living, his life resembled the one that the Lord Himself had lived on the earth years before.

This was truly Jesus living again in His divinely enriched humanity. The wonderful, excellent, and mysterious God-man Jesus who lived in the Gospels, now continued to live in the Acts through Paul, one of His many members.

May it be the same with us today. May we see that we are the continuation and reproduction of Christ for us to live a God-man life even as He lived.

Christ lived a life of suffering, a suffering life; now we are His partners living the same kind of life. When we suffer for Christ, our sufferings are counted by God as the sufferings of Christ (Heb. 3:14).

As we express the Lord in our daily living, others will persecute us and mock us; as we manifest the God-man life in our daily living, we will suffer, and these are the sufferings of Christ.

May we apply Christ, live with Christ, and use every opportunity, even our sufferings, to express His divine attributes in our human virtues.

Lord Jesus, we want to live the same kind that You lived – the life of a God-man! Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are the reproduction and duplication of Christ, the first God-man! Amen, Lord, thank You for setting up a model for our God-man living. You lived a crucified life, being crucified to live God so that God may be expressed in humanity. We follow You today to live the same kind of life. We don’t want to try to be holy, spiritual, or victorious; we exercise our spirit to live Christ. Amen, Lord, may we live a crucified life today so that You may be expressed through us. We apply You to our daily living. We want to live with You. We are one spirit with You. May we exhibit Christ, manifesting the excellency of the God-man life in our daily living. Amen, Lord, may our living be Jesus living again. May Your divine attributes be expressed through our human virtues, even we suffer for the Lord as we live a God-man life. Praise the Lord, we are Christ’s continuation and reproduction today! Amen!

Deny our Natural Life and Live the Divine Life and Come to God’s Word to Contact God and be Conformed to the Death of Christ by the Power of His Resurrection to Live Christ

If we read the Gospels, we see the pattern of One who lived a God-man life. Jesus was a Jewish man, but He did not live by the Jewish life; He expressed God in His living.

He lived not in a Jewish way to express the Jewish culture, nor did He express Himself; rather, He denied Himself, He denied His Jewish life, and He lived out God. He lived one with God to express God. Christ lived the divine life to express God. Amazing!

He was divine, for He lived the divine life, and He was mystical, for He denied His Jewish life.

The disciples were with Him for three and a half years, and they were discipled by the Lord to see what it is to live a God-man life.

As we read and pray over the word of God, especially the Gospels, we are discipled by the Lord to be God-men living a God-man life.

We realise that we should not be Jewish men, Chinese men, American men, British men, or any other nationality, but we should be God-men.

We observe how the Lord lived, what He did, and how He spoke; this disciples us to live a God-man life by denying the natural life and living the divine life.

When the disciples were with the Lord, they saw how He lived and behaved, and then they saw that He was crucified, died, and resurrected.

In the evening of His resurrection, Christ came and stood in their midst, saying, Peace be with you (John 20:19). Then, He breathed into them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit (v. 22).

He entered into them as the Spirit, and He now lived in them. Later on the day of Pentecost, the Lord poured Himself out as the Holy Spirit of power upon them to empower them, and the disciples lived the life of a God-man.

Today we are the believers in Christ who have Christ as our life inwardly and the Spirit of power on us outwardly for us to live Christ.

We must deny ourselves, be conformed to the death of Christ, and magnify Christ by the bountiful supply of the Spirit (Matt. 16:24; Phil. 3:10; 1:19-21).

As we deny our natural life and live the divine life through the exercise of our spirit, the One who lived the life of a God-man in the Gospels will live in us!

He is now the Spirit living in us and through us! Praise the Lord!

May we reject any self-cultivation and the building up of our natural man and allow nothing other than Christ, the God-man who is in us as the Spirit, to fill us and occupy us!

May we focus only on Christ, allowing Him to make His home in our heart so that we may live Him and express Him personally and corporately in the church, which is His Body (Eph. 3:16-19; 1:22-23). Amen!

When we come to God’s word, we need to approach God; we don’t come to the Bible to merely receive some proverbs, good teachings, and spiritual doctrines, but to receive nourishment and enlightenment!

As we exercise our spirit in coming to God’s word, we will know that, according to God, we should always be conformed to the death of Christ by the power of His resurrection (Phil. 3:10).

May we turn the Bible from a book that teaches us to cultivate the self and build up the natural man to a book that is full of life, spirit, spiritual nourishment, and spiritual enlightenment! If we do this, our self will be torn down, our natural man will be broken, and we will be supplied with the consummated Spirit of the Triune God!

Then, the life we will live will not be the expression of the natural man, the old man, or the self, but the God-man life, the expression of Christ in us, for He is the person living in our spirit. Amen, may we learn to exercise our spirit every day in our daily life.

May we simply turn ourselves from the mind to the spirit by praying in our spirit, and may we live one spirit with the Lord day by day.

Lord Jesus, thank You for living in us today! Hallelujah, the One who lived the life of a God-man is now the Spirit living in us and through us! Amen, Lord, we reject any self-cultivation and the building up of our natural man and we allow nothing other than Christ to fill us and occupy us! We want to live Christ and express Christ both personally and corporately in the church, which is His Body! We love You, Lord, and we come to You. We deny ourselves and allow You to conform us to Your death so that we may magnify Christ by the bountiful supply of the Spirit! Lord Jesus, we exercise our spirit to touch You. We turn from our mind to our spirit. We want to pray in spirit. Keep us in a spirit and atmosphere of prayer in our daily life, coming to Your word in a living way to contact God! Amen, Lord, may we be conformed to the death of Christ by the power of His resurrection so that we may live the life of a God-man, expressing Christ! May we live not by our natural man, our old man, or the self, but live the divine life to express God! Amen!
