The God-man living is Christ living again in us by us abiding in Christ to be even as He is today; Christ lived in this world a life of God as love, and now He is our life that we may live the same life of love in this world and be the same as He is, Jesus living again, by activating the law of love.
Lord Jesus, thank You for loving us and for giving Yourself up for us. Thank You for not criticizing us, exposing us, or condemning us, but loving us. We open to You in love. We want to be one with You today. We want to abide in love that is God Himself. Amen, Lord, may love be perfected in us, so that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because even as Christ is, so we are in this world! Lord Jesus, keep us abiding in You, activating the law of love, and living a life of love to be the same as You are! Amen!
This week we have been enjoying the matter of the God-man living for a new revival. What God desires to gain today is the reality in Jesus, the actual condition of the God-man living of Jesus as recorded in the Gospels, being lived out in us as the many believers in Christ.
The reality in Jesus needs to become the reality of the Body of Christ today. We believers in Christ are being perfected by the Lord today to be God-men, those who live the divine life by denying our natural life according to the model of Christ as the first God-man.
We love the Lord, contact Him, and learn Christ as the reality is in Jesus. We learn to live in the mingled spirit and live even as He lived. What pleases God is the repetition of the life Christ lived on the earth; in particular, this is a life that experiences Christ in His experiences as the burnt offering.
Christ lived a life that was absolutely for God and for God’s satisfaction. He is now as life to repeat this kind of life in us and live the same way in us.
We need to lay our hands on Christ as our burnt offering through the proper prayer so that we may be joined to Him and become one with Him.
We need to allow the Lord to burn in us so that we may be reduced to ashes and become part of the New Jerusalem for God’s expression.
As He burns in us, we are reduced to ashes, and these ashes are precious to God, for we enter into resurrection, have Christ living in us, and we become part of the New Jerusalem, God’s corporate expression.
May we come to the Lord in His word, especially in the Gospels, to read and pray over His word and be infused with His pattern so that we may live the same kind of life today. May we let Him live in us, for only He can live the life of a God-man for a new revival to end this age.
Abide in God as Love and Live a Life of Love in the same way as Christ Lived: Even as He is, so are We in this World!
The Lord Jesus as the reality of the burnt offering lived a life of love; He loved God and He loved man. We as believers in Christ need to abide in love by abiding in God and having God abide in us (1 John 4:16). Wow, we need to abide in love!
God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God abides in him. What does it mean to abide in God as love? It is to live a life that is God Himself as our inward content and outward expression, so that we may live absolutely one with Him to live a life of love.
When we abide in the love that is God Himself, love has been perfected in us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because even as He is, so also are we in this world (v. 17).
Even as Christ was in this world, so are we today. Christ as the reality of the burnt offering lived in this world a life of God as love, and now He is our life so that we also may live the same life of love in this world and be the same as He is (1 John 3:14; 5:1; 2:6).
May we abide in God by abiding in love, for the very love in which we abide is God Himself.
The love we have toward others should not be our own love but God Himself as love. If we believers in Christ abive in the love that is God Himself, we then abide in God, and God abides in us. The result is that we live a life of love, and we love others with God as love.
The love of God is perfected in us, that is, perfectly manifested in us, that we may have boldness without fear in the day of judgment.
Thank the Lord that He has come into us to be our life and our love, even for us to abide in God as love so that we may love others with God as love. Even as Christ lived in this world a life of love, so we today can live in this world a life of love by abiding in God as love.
This world doesn’t refer merely to the universe or to the earth but to human society on the earth, the people who live around us, who do not know that they are the components of the satanic system. Oh Lord!
The love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, and now we have God as love in us, in our heart (Rom. 5:5).
We know that we have passed out of death into life because we love the brothers (1 John 3:14). We love the brothers because we abide in God as love, so we live a life of love, that is, we let Christ be expressed through us as love. He who does not love abides in death. Oh Lord!
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been begotten of God, and everyone who loves Him who has begotten loves him also who has been begotten of Him (1 John 5:1).
We love the brothers because we abide in God as love, and His love is expressed through us for us to love God and love those who are begotten of God.
The Lord wants us to live the same way that He lived: a life of God as love. For this, He is now our life so that we may live the same life of love in this world and be the same as He is.
If we say we abide in the Lord, we also ought to walk even as He walked (1 John 2:6). We need to be just like Christ in this world, and we need to live the same way that He lived.
How can we do it? How can we live as Christ lived? How can we walk as Christ walked?
It is by abiding in God as love so that His love may be expressed through us. May we open to the Lord regarding this matter so that we may abide in God as love and live a life of love, even as the Lord Jesus did.
Lord Jesus, we want to abide in God as love today! Hallelujah, the love of God has been poured out into our hearts, and today we can live a life of love by abiding in God as love! Amen, Lord, we choose to abide in the love that is God Himself. May Your love be perfected in us that we may have boldness in the day of the judgment, because even as He is, so also are we in this world! Hallelujah, even as Christ lived a life of God as love, so we today can and should live a life of God as love! Amen, Lord, live in us today. Keep us abiding in You in all things. May the love of God be perfectly manifested in us in our daily living. May we love the Lord and love the brothers, loving others by the love which is God Himself. Praise the Lord, Christ as the reality of the burnt offering lived in this world a life of God as love, and now He is our life that we may live the same life of love in this world and be the same as He is! Amen, Lord, make us the same as You are in Your love so that we may live a life of love, even as You did! Amen!
Activate the Law of Love in us to Bear One Another’s Burdens and Shepherd One Another
In Romans 8:2 we are told that the law of the Spirit of life has freed us, those who are in Christ Jesus, from the law of sin and of death. Praise the Lord! In Galatians 6:2 we see the law of Christ, which is the law of love.
The law of the Spirit of life in our spirit is the law of Christ as the law of love. We can substantiate the law of love by the law of the Spirit of life so that we may bear one another’s burdens.
On the one hand, we need to abide in God as love so that we may live a life of love. On the other hand, we need to activate the law of love by the law of the Spirit of life so that we may bear one another’s burdens.
But if we’re filled with pride, we will not be able to bear others’ burdens because we deceive ourselves by thinking that we are something when we are nothing (v. 3). We need to learn to switch on the law of the Spirit of life, for this law is also the law of love.
This love is not merely the human love; this love is the expression of the life of Christ within us. This love is the love described by the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13; this is the expression of the divine life.
When we exercise our spirit to touch the Lord, therefore activating the law of life, we activate the law of love, and we simply love the saints; even more, we are willing to bear one another’s burdens.
The fact that love is a fruit of the Spirit indicates that the substance of love must be the Spirit (Gal. 5:22). It is not merely our human virtue of love that is expressed; it is the Spirit coming in to fill our virtue of love and be expressed through us as love.
All spiritual virtues must have the Spirit with the divine life as their substance. The law of Christ, which is the law of love, must be substantiated by the divine life.
Hallelujah for the law of the Spirit of life which frees us in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death! Praise the Lord, when we activate the law of the Spirit of life, we love others, and we are eager to bear their burdens.
In Galatians 6:3, Paul said, For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. If we think we’re something, if we are proud and think we are someone or somebody, we deceive ourselves, and we are not willing to bear others’ burdens.
But if we exercise our spirit, touch the Lord, and activate the law of love, we realise we are nothing, and we can bear the burdens of those who are weak.
We can testify of this in our experience; if we consider ourselves as nothing, we spontaneously are weak with those who are weak, bearing their burdens in the Lord.
We walk by the Spirit, and the Spirit fills our virtue of love to be expressed through us as love.
Actually, we bear others’ burdens even without realising it – we simply walk by the Spirit and we are led by the Spirit to do certain things. Amen!
When the law of love is activated within us, we spontaneously and automatically will be shepherds who have the loving and forgiving heart of our Father God and the shepherding and seeking Spirit of our Saviour Christ (John 21:15-17; Luke 15:3-7).
The spontaneous result of activating the law of love is that we shepherd others even as the Lord Jesus did.
Even as He was in this world, so we are today; He loved others, cared for them, bore their burdens, and shepherded them, and when we abide in God as love and activate the law of love, we bear their burdens and shepherd them.
We do this because we’re infused with the Father’s loving and forgiving heart and we have the Son’s shepherding and seeking spirit. Amen!
When the law of love is activated within us, our labour in the Lord is a labour of love (1 Cor. 15:58; 1 Thes. 1:3) in which we “support the weak” (Acts 20:35) and “sustain the weak” (1 Thes. 5:14).
Many times we are weak; the weak refers to those who are weak either in their spirit or soul or body, or are weak in faith (Rom. 14:1; 15:1).
The spontaneous issue of living the life of a God-man is that, on the one hand, we express Christ in our daily living, and on the other hand, we bear one another’s burdens, we support and sustain the weak, and we shepherd one another.
We don’t criticise or put others down because they are weak at the moment; we realise they are weak in their soul, spirit, or body, and we support the weak; we sustain the weak. Amen!
After His resurrection, the Lord Jesus shepherded Peter and commissioned him to feed His lambs and shepherd His sheep; this is to incorporate the apostolic ministry with Christ’s heavenly ministry to take care of God’s flock, the church (John 21:15-17).
Thank the Lord that He makes us even as He is, the shepherding ones, those who are one with Him to care for others, for we activate the law of love and we love others with God as love!
Lord Jesus, we exercise our spirit to touch You and activate the law of the Spirit of life! Hallelujah, the law of the Spirit of life has freed us in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death! Amen, Lord, may we be those who substantiate the law of love by the law of the Spirit of life so that we may be able to bear one another’s burdens. We love You, Lord, and we submit to You; we humble ourselves before You, and we consider that we are nothing, but You are everything to us. Oh Lord, may the law of love be activated in us so that we may automatically and spontaneously be shepherds caring for those around us! Fill us with the loving and forgiving heart of our Father God and with the shepherding and seeking spirit of our Saviour Christ! Hallelujah, when the law of love is activated within us, our labour in the Lord is a labour of love in which we support and sustain the weak! Thank You, Lord, for supporting and sustaining us, the weak ones, through the fellow members of the Body. May we be one with You today to feed Your lambs, shepherd Your sheep, and bear others’ burdens for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ! Amen!
