As believers in Christ, we are living the life of a God-man, a life of dying to ourselves and living to God so that Christ may live in us for the building up of the Body of Christ; we are the duplication and continuation of Christ, God-men constituted with God to let Christ express His attributes through our human virtues.
Lord Jesus, we love You and we open to You! May we see that we are God-men who are living the life of a God-man today! Hallelujah, Christ is in us, Christ lives in us, and we can and should live one spirit with the Lord today! Amen, Lord, live in us today. Be expressed through us. May we always remember that we are God-men, those who are born of God with His life and nature. May we die to live so that Christ may be expressed through us. Lord Jesus, we want to live the life of a God-man today! Amen!
It has been more than two thousand years since the apostle Paul opened up the mystery hidden in God’s heart, and there has never been a people who have come even close to the understanding of this mystery as we have today.
By the Lord’s mercy and grace, we are still arriving at the highest peak of the divine revelation, we are learning to live the God-man life, and we are learning and endeavouring to practice how to shepherd according to God.
We do not do this in our natural man, nor do we do this to perfect ourselves. We do not look at our environment nor do we focus on our mistakes and weaknesses.
We look to the speaking God. He has not given us up. God is still faithful to speak to us today, and we want to have an ear to hear what He is speaking to the churches.
We don’t want to just hear some words and pick up some knowledge; we exercise our spirit of faith to say Amen to God’s word and cooperate with Him by prayer.
May we all be warned by the example of the children of Israel who had a heart of unbelief and, therefore, a whole generation perished in the wilderness because they did not believe God. We are believers in Christ.
The Lord wants us to live the life of a God-man by living in the kingdom of God as the realm of the divine species. We say Amen to His speaking.
We do not look at the difficulties; we do not focus on our lacks, and we do not remain in our weaknesses; we exercise our spirit of faith, for we are people of faith, and we have faith in the speaking God, who will do this in us!
He will bring us to the fulfillment of HIs purpose, and we will live the life of a God-man for Christ to be manifested in us for God’s corporate expression! Amen!
We Die to Live: Live the Life of a God-man by Dying to Ourselves to Live Christ for His Expression
The One who fully lived the life of a God-man is Jesus Christ, the first God-man. He was God becoming man, for concerning His flesh He came out of the seed of David. However, He was designated the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness out of the resurrection of the dead (Rom. 1:3-4).
Wow, God became a man, and in His resurrection, this man was designated to be the Son of God in power! This is the mystery of God becoming man to make man God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead.
This happened to the Lord Jesus, and we are in the process of being deified; that is, we are in the process of becoming the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in the Godhead (Rom. 8:29).
The life of Christ as the first God-man on the earth was a life of living the divine life in the human life.
Christ was both God and man, having the divine life and the human life, and He lived not by His human life but by His divine life.
He died to live. He didn’t only die physically at the end of His life when He was crucified; He died to Himself daily so that He may live to the Father (John 5:19, 30; 8:28).
He was dying to live day by day, one day at a time. He was under the cross all the time on the earth, not expressing Himself but expressing the Father. He told His disciples that, when they saw Him, they saw the Father (John 14:9).
As He died to live, He lived out the divine attributes as His human virtues. Christ lived under the cross all the time until He was practically and physically crucified on the cross to accomplish His all-inclusive death for God’s eternal redemption of His chosen people.
God redeemed us through the death of Christ, and even more, God made Christ the prototype for mass reproduction of many brothers, the many God-men (Rom. 8:29).
God wants to gain the mingling of divinity with humanity, the God-man living consummating in the New Jerusalem. Christ set His life before us as a pattern, and we now follow His model; we need to live a life that is a copy, a reproduction of the life of Christ (1 Pet. 2:21).
As believers in Christ, we die to live, for we are dying to ourselves to live Christ for God to be expressed.
We are learning to come after the Lord, to follow Him, by denying ourselves and taking up our cross (Matt. 16:24).
We are living a God-man life of bearing the cross in the steps of Christ. But we don’t do this merely to stop ourselves by our own effort; we exercise our spirit to put to death by the Spirit in His resurrection whatever the body does (Rom. 8:13).
As we exercise our spirit, the death of Christ is applied to us, and we are conformed to His death by the power of His resurrection.
We can’t put to death the practices of the body by ourselves, in ourselves, or in our natural life.
But when we exercise our spirit, we as God-men become the reproduction of Christ, and we can know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
May we live such a Christian life, a life of dying to ourselves and living to God so that Christ, the first God-man, may be formed in us as His many brothers.
As we die to live, as we die to ourselves to live to God, we live the life of a God-man for the building up of the organic Body of Christ so that God’s eternal economy may be carried out.
Daily, we need to die to live, so that we may become the building material for the building up of the Body of Christ for Him to accomplish His eternal economy.
We even aspire to be constituted to be His overcomers to close this age and to bring in His kingdom age! May we bring this to the Lord in prayer and cooperate with Him to live a God-man life today!
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming as the first God-man and living a God-man life by dying to live. Oh Lord, thank You for dying to Yourself to live to God for God to be expressed in Your daily living. We love You and we open to You. Live in us today. We take You as our pattern. Oh Lord, we want to live the same way that You lived. We want to live a God-man life today. Reproduce Yourself in us. We want to follow You by denying ourselves and taking up our cross. Amen, Lord Jesus, may we live a life of bearing the cross in the steps of Christ. May we put to death by the Spirit whatever the body does so that Christ may live in us. We exercise our spirit today so that we may be conformed to the death of Christ by the power of His resurrection! Oh Lord, make us Your reproduction on the earth today. We choose to live a life of dying to ourselves and living to God so that Christ may be expressed through us and be formed in us! Amen, Lord Jesus, have a way to accomplish Your economy in us today!
We Believers in Christ Live the Life of a God-man, One with God in His Life and Nature to Express Him
As believers in Christ, we are living the life of a God-man (Mark 1:15; John 14:17b, 20; Rom. 8:9a, 10; Gal. 5:25). We not only shall live at some point in the future; we today live the life of a God-man.
We need to speak this in faith to ourselves: we are believers in Christ, we live the life of a God-man!
When we believed into Christ, the Spirit has come into us to regenerate us by imparting the divine life into us, and now we are in Christ Jesus. He is in us and we are in Him.
We are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if we have the Spirit of God dwelling in us. Do we have the Spirit of God dwelling in us? Yes, we do; therefore, we are in the Spirit. This is a fact.
We are not in the flesh but in the Spirit. We should not forget this spiritual fact.
We should not be realists who only look at our performance, our behaviour, and our experience; this doesn’t mean that we should be careless or negligent, but that we look to Christ.
What makes us God-men is not our behaviour, our conduct, but being God’s species, those who are born of God. By faith, we learn to live by the divine gene in us.
We are a fallen human species by birth of our parents, and when we remain in the flesh, we live a fallen human life. When we’re in the flesh, we have a lot of questions, problems, and complications.
But we have been transferred out of that realm of the flesh into the realm of the divine species, for God has given everything to us and has done everything for us!
In Christ God has been constituted into man, man has been constituted into God, and God and man have been mingled together to be one entity, which is called the God-man (Matt. 1:21, 23; Luke 1:35; Titus 2:13; 1 Tim. 2:5).
He came as God becoming man to be mingled with man. Now we as the many sons of God, we are God-men, the duplication and continuation of Christ, the first God-man (John 12:24; Heb. 2:10; Rom. 8:29).
He as the unique grain fell into the ground and died, and we were regenerated in His resurrection to be His mass reproduction, the many grains.
We are not merely sinners saved by grace, washed by the blood of Jesus, redeemed, forgiven, and reconciled to God; we are the reproduction of Christ.
We are His multiplication, those who are becoming the same as He is.
A God-man is one who has been born of God and partakes of God’s life and nature, becoming one with God in His life and nature and thereby expressing Him (John 1:12-13; 3:15; 2 Pet. 1:4; 1 Cor. 6:17). This is what a God-man is.
We are not spectacular or exceptional; we have been born of God, we partake of God’s life and nature, and we are becoming one with God.
We die to live, we live by the divine life in our spirit, so that we may express God. Thank the Lord for unveiling us to see that we are God-men!
A God-man is constituted with God, having God as his life, nature, and everything; a God-man is man yet God and God yet man (Eph. 3:16-17).
We may expect that a God-man would live in a super-excellent way, in an exceptional and superb way. Actually, the God-man living is very ordinary.
Just as Christ lived a life of dying to live so that God may be expressed through Him, so we live today a God-man life to express God.
If we read the Gospel of Mark, for example, we see the record of a man who was so common, so ordinary, yet He lived God in many ways. Christ as the first God-man had God as His life, nature, and everything, and He expressed God.
Now we as ordinary men, as fallen men, we have been regenerated to have God as our life. We are learning to die to live, that is, take Christ as our life and nature so that He may live in us.
We have become a new species – we are part of God’s species to live a God-man life by taking God as our life, our nature, and our everything.
Sometimes, however, we are in conflict, for we may still want to pursue our own interest and goal, but when we turn to the Lord, we realise that as God-men we should take God as our interest and goal.
We need to realise what we are; we are not ordinary men anymore – we are God-men, having the divine species in us, and God is our life, our nature, and our everything.
Even as He lived on earth, so we should live today. We seek God, we take Him as our center, and we let Christ live in us.
Just as Christ lived out God to express the attributes of God in His human virtues, so we live out Christ by denying ourselves to take Him as our life and everything so that He may be expressed through us.
We want to let Him mingle Himself with us and live in us for God to be manifested in the flesh.
May we see who we are, may we take God as our life and everything, and may we be the continuation and duplication of Christ today in our daily living!
Lord Jesus, we want to live the life of a God-man today for You to be expressed through us! Hallelujah, in Christ God has been constituted into man, man has been constituted into God, and God and man have been mingled together to be one entity, the God-man! Praise the Lord, we today as the many sons of God are the duplication and continuation of Christ, the first God-man! Amen, Lord, may we see who we are. May we realise that we believers in Christ are God-men who have been born of God and who partake of God’s life and nature! Hallelujah, we are one with God in His life and nature to express Him! Amen, Lord, constitute us with Yourself today. Be our life, our nature, and our everything. May we live one spirit with You today. Be expressed through us in our human living. May Your divine attributes be expressed through our human virtues so that God may be manifested in the flesh through us today! Hallelujah, we are those who partake of God’s life and nature to live Christ for God’s expression!
