The Church is in Ascension & Submits to God’s Authority to Pray Authoritative Prayers

Truly I say to you, Whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matt. 18:18

When the church prays with authority, it rules over Hades, for the church submits to Christ the Head, and the prayer of authority is prayed from heaven to earth, for the position of prayer is in ascension, and all prayers in ascension are prayers of authority; may we have the heavenly position and authority to utter forth authoritative prayers, reigning with God! Amen!

Lord Jesus, we submit to God’s authority in our daily living and in all the practical matters. We stand one with You today. Thank You for making us one with You in Your ascension. Praise the Lord, we are in ascension with the Lord, and we pray prayers of authority to deal with the enemy, thus uttering God’s commands! Amen, Lord, may we remain in ascension so that our prayers would be the executing of God’s administration! Amen!

This week, our last week on the topic of, The All-inclusive Christ in the Gospel of Matthew, we are touching a matter of utmost importance in our Christian life and church life.

The Gospel of Matthew closes with Christ telling us that He has all authority in heaven and on earth, and He sends us, His disciples, to disciple all the nations, baptising them into the Triune God and teaching them to keep all that He has commanded us.

We need to know what it means that Christ has all authority in heaven and on earth. How does this relate to us? How can we experience it, and how can we enter into this?

God is the supreme authority – He has all authority, and according to Matthew 28, He has given all authority to Christ. Praise the Lord!

When we turn to our spirit and touch the Lord, we not only enjoy the wonderful Christ who is our life and life supply but even more, we touch the LORD Jesus, the Christ who is Lord and King.

We need to touch authority at least once in our lifetime so that we may submit to God’s authority.

If we don’t submit to God’s authority, we will be joined to Satan in his rebellion. This means that we deny God’s authority and reject God’s rule, just like the rest of the worldly people today.

May we be those who stand on the Lord’s side, contend with Satan by asserting that authority is with God, and submit ourselves to God’s authority and uphold His authority.

May we learn to pray the most important prayer, the most spiritual prayer, which is the prayer of authority.

This is a commanding prayer, having the aspects of binding and loosing.

It is not a begging prayer, asking the Lord to do this or that; it is a commanding prayer, standing one with God and dealing with the problems by directly applying God’s authority. Amen!

As the Church we Submit to God’s Authority and Pray with Authority to Rule over Hades

Truly I say to you, Whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matt. 18:18

The most spiritual kind of prayer we can pray is the prayer of authority; this prayer is not just a prayer that asks God to do something for us but it is a prayer that commands something.

The church is joined to Christ as the Head, and when the church prays with authority, it rules over Hades.

The church has the prayer meetings of the church, and there are also many groups of saints who pray; when the church prays with authority, Hades is overcome. Christ has transcended over everything, and He is the Head of the church.

Now the church as the Body of Christ can rule over the demons and everything that belongs to Satan.

The reason the church is still here is that Christ as the Head who has all things subjected to Him, is joined to the church, and the church has the authority of Christ.

If the church didn’t have the authority to rule over the demons, if the Lord didn’t give this authority to the church, the church could not have survived on the earth (Eph. 1:22-23).

Hallelujah, the church has the authority to rule over every satanic thing. Ruling over Satan in this way is based upon prayers with authority.

The Lord is praying that we would begin to pray through learning in this way.

The church should subdue all the activities of the evil spirits by means of prayer, and the chuch should exercise dominion through prayer (luke 10:17-19; Matt. 18:18).

We should not be subjective when we consider this, thinking that in our prayer meetings many times it is only a small number of saints who pray, while most of the saints listen or just say amen.

We need to come to the Lord regarding our being in the prayer meeting and learn to participate in the prayer meetings, for we as the church were given God’s authority to subdue the enemy.

As the church, we submit to God’s authority, and we pray with authority to rule over Hades. It is through the prayers of authority of the church that the gates of Hades can be closed, death can be removed, and Satan can have no way among us.

Thank the Lord that the church today can exist, survive, and even thrive and spread because it has the authority to rule over every satanic thing!

I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in the heavens, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in the heavens. Matt. 16:19We can cast out demons in the Lord’s name, and we can even restrain the secret activities of the evil spirits! First of all, we ourselves need to submit to God’s authority. If we would pray the prayer of authority, we must first submit to God’s authority ourselves.

Unless we submit to God’s authority with respect to His position and submit to His authority in our daily living and in all practical matters, we cannot pray with authority (Isa. 45:11; 1 Pet. 5:6; Rev. 22:1).

In all the practical matters of our daily living, we need to enthrone Christ in the centre of our being. We need to give Him the first place.

We need to respect His position and submit to His authority in the practical matters. Unless we submit to God’s authority, we do not have any authority from Him flowing in us and through us. Unless we submit to God’s authority, we cannot pray prayers of authority.

May the Lord impress us with this matter; it is not only in the prayer meeting that we submit to God’s authority, but throughout our daily living, we need to submit to God’s authority personally.

If we don’t submit to His authority, God will retract His position and we cannot pray with authority.

In our conversations with others, in the way we talk, in the way we drive our car, in the way we travel, in the way we speak to others and behave ourselves, and in all kinds of practical matters, we need to be under the Lord’s authority.

Lord Jesus, we enthrone You in the centre of our being. We give You the first place in all things by faith. We love You, Lord, and we open to You. We give You the preeminence. We submit ourselves to Your authority. Shine on us, Lord, and expose us. Shine on the way we speak to others. Shine on the way we behave around others. Shine on the way we drive our car. Oh Lord, what about the things we say, the things we do, the things we watch, and the things we delight in? We open to You! May we give You the first place in all things. May we submit to Your authority with respect to Your position and submit to Your authority in our daily living and in all practical matters so that we may be able to pray with authority. Amen, Lord, may the church today issue prayers of authority to rule over Hades! Praise the Lord, the church has the authority to rule over every satanic thing! Amen, may the church subdue all the activities of the evil spirits by means of prayer and exercise dominion through prayer!

The Church has the Heavenly Position and Authority and Utters Authoritative Prayers!

Thus says Jehovah, / The Holy One of Israel and the One who formed him, / Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, / And concerning the work of My hands, command Me. Isa. 45:11

The prayer of authority has heaven as its starting point and earth as its destination (S. S. 4:8; 6:10; Eph. 1:22-23; 2:6; 6:18). This means that those who pray prayers of authority are in the heavens, not on earth.

We need to see that we were ascended and seated with Christ in the heavenlies, and we are not praying merely from the earth to our God in heaven but we are one with Him to pray from the heaven.

A prayer of authority is prayed from heaven to earth; it begins from a heavenly position and goes downward from heaven to earth (Eph. 2:6).

Truly I say to you, Whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matt. 18:18This means that we pray downward, for we stand in the position that Christ has given to us in the heavenlies.

As the church, we are enthroned with Christ, and we command Satan with authority and reject all his works, and we proclaim with authority that all of God’s commands should be accomplished (Matt. 6:9-10).

This is what the Lord is after today. We may wonder, how can we pray with authority if we are on the earth? Yes, we are physically on the earth, but spiritually, we are sitting with the Lord in the heavens.

We may be occupied with many things like our daily work, but we allow the word of God to divide our soul from our spirit (Heb. 4:12).

As our spirit and soul are divided, we live in two realms at the same time; on one hand, we live in the physical realm and take care of the things we need to do here, and on the other hand, we live in the divine and mystical realm, in our spirit.

As the Lord divides our spirit from our soul, we can be in two realms at the same time; we may be teaching in school, very busy with the things we need to do, but at the same time, our spirit is in constant fellowship with the Lord.

Outwardly, we deal with people, situations, and things, but inwardly, we are contacting the Lord. In this way, we will be ready for the Lord’s return, for He will rapture those who live in oneness with Him in spirit, even as they take care of their human responsibilities.

May we grow in life unto maturity to the point that we abide in the Lord and live in the divine and mystical realm of the Spirit with our spirit so that, when we pray, we pray authoritative prayers, one with the Lord. We need to pray in this way both personally and corporately.

The position of prayer is ascension, and the authority of prayer is also ascension; all prayers in ascension are prayers of authority (Eph. 2:6; 1:22-23).

We need to learn this. We need to pray that the Lord would bring us into this experience. The prayer of authority is the prayer by one who is able to give out commands by standing in the position of ascension.

Both personally and corporately, we need to stand in the position of ascension and utter authoritative prayers. The Lord told us in Isaiah 45:11 that we need to command Him concerning the work of His hands. Wow!

If we are in the position of ascension, our prayer will be equal to God’s administration; it will be the executing of His commands (Rev. 8:3-5).

May we ask the Lord to give us the experiences we need for us to know ascension and be in ascension. May we be open to Him to learn to be in ascension today.

And the seventh angel trumpeted; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever. Rev. 11:15 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brothers has been cast down, who accuses them before our God day and night. Rev. 12:10When we come to the point where we have the heavenly position and the heavenly authority and are thus able to utter forth authoritative prayers, we are on the throne, reigning with the Lord (Eph. 2:5-6; Rev. 3:21; cf. Ezek. 1:26).

There is a clear sky above us, and there is one on the throne; we are one with the One on the throne, and we utter forth authoritative prayers.

At this time, our prayer is not only an authoritative prayer but even more, a reigning prayer, and our prayer becomes God’s administration, the execution of God’s rule (Rom. 5:17, 21; Matt. 18:18; Rev. 8:3-5).

God is ready to execute His administration and carry out His economy, but He is waiting for our cooperation in prayer.

We need to grow in life unto maturity and stay in the position of ascension, even pray authoritative prayers, so that He may carry out His administration and execute His rule.

If we believers in Christ are willing to learn, we will arrive at a place where we can utter such prayers for the fulfilment of God’s eternal purpose (Eph. 1:10-11; 3:9-11).

If we are only willing to learn, the Lord will take us on both personally and corporately until we can issue such authoritative prayers to carry out His administration.

God has been waiting for this kind of corporate prayer in the Body for centuries.

We can testify that we touch such a prayer from time to time with our vital companions, our vital group, and the saints we are built up with, even in twos and threes.

When we do this, we are in ascension with the Lord, we rule and reign with Him in the heavenly realm, and our prayer is both an authoritative prayer and a reigning prayer.

Lord Jesus, we are willing to learn to pray prayers of authority. We give ourselves to You; teach us to pray in such a way that You have a way to carry out Your administration and execute Your economy. Oh Lord, advance in us and take us on with You until we realise and remain in the position of ascension! Amen, we stand in the position of ascension, one with You, and we pray prayers in ascension to carry out what is in Your heart! Oh Lord, may we come to the point where we have the heavenly position and the heavenly authority and are thus able to utter forth authoritative prayers! Bring us to the point where we are one with You on the throne, reigning with the Lord! May our prayers in our vital groups and in our prayer meeting be authoritative prayers and reigning prayers! Amen, Lord, may our prayer become God’s administration, the execution of God’s rule! Oh Lord, we are willing to learn this! May we arrive at a place where we can utter such prayers for the fulfilment of God’s eternal purpose! Amen!

We must submit ourselves to God’s authority. If we do not submit to God’s authority, we cannot pray with authority. Not only must we submit to God’s authority with respect to His position, but we also must submit to His authority in our daily living and in all practical matters.

Ordinary prayer is directed from earth to heaven…A prayer with authority has heaven as its starting point and the earth as its destination. In other words, a prayer with authority is prayed from heaven to earth…If a man has never learned the prayer that prays downward, he has never learned to pray with authority. In the spiritual warfare, the kind of prayer that prays downward is very important…It is to stand in the position that Christ has given us in the heavenlies, to command Satan with authority and reject all his works, and to proclaim with authority that all God’s commands should be accomplished. If we pray for a realization of God’s will and a decision concerning it,…we should say, “God, You have to do this. You have to accomplish this. No matter what happens, You must fulfill this work.”

In Isaiah 45:11, God says, “Command Me.” Sometimes this commanding is a direct command to God, and sometimes it is an indirect command to the environment. Examples are: Moses standing on the shore of the Red Sea commanding the water to be divided, the Lord Jesus in the boat commanding the wind and the sea to be still, and the Lord commanding sickness to leave men…If you have touched the heavenly position with its authority, you can even say, “I command the poverty to depart from me.”

When you come to the point where you have the heavenly position and the heavenly authority and are thus able to utter forth authoritative prayers, you are one who is on the throne, standing in the ruling position together with the Lord. Just as He reigns at the right hand of God, so you also reign together with Him in the heavenly realm. At this time your prayer is not only an authoritative prayer but also a reigning prayer. Your prayer is to rule with authority, executing God’s orders. So at this time all your prayers become God’s administration, the execution of God’s rule…If we are willing to learn, we will arrive at a place where we can utter such prayers.

Lord Jesus, may we see that our position as the church is in ascension, one with You! May we submit to God’s authority in our daily living and in all things. May we be one with You to pray authoritative prayers as the church! Amen!

If we are willing to learn, the Lord will take us on with Him until we experience and remain in the position of ascension, and our prayer will be full of authority, even a prayer to carry out God’s economy and execute His administration.

When we’re in the position of ascension, our prayer will be equal to God’s administration!

Amen, Lord, we are willing to learn. Bring us to a place where we can utter prayers for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose! Amen!
