This morning, when I was enjoying the Lord in His Word and in the morning revival portion, I realized more than ever that we, as human beings, were created to “propagate” and fill the earth! Actually, right after man was created, God blessed them and said “be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth…”
So man was meant to not just stay in one place for his whole life: as human beings we need to move, spread, and fill the earth! This happened a lot in the history of the mankind, with the great explorers and the nations seeking to expand/explore other territories/continents.
Even more, the Lord said in Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” The salvation we receive from the Lord is not just for ourselves: we have to go and “propagate” it unto the uttermost parts of the earth!
This is what happened throughout the history – the world was explored more and more through the Christians going to preach the gospel in places like Mainland China, India, Africa, America, etc. Mankind has progressively filled the earth through the steps of Christians preaching the gospel. We can read many great biographies of the past centuries missionaries who didn’t care for themselves, but were burning for the Lord to preach the gospel everywhere, and specifically to a certain country that the Lord put on their heart.
What about us today? Especially in the Western European Countries/more developed countries, the concept of “moving for the Lord” has become foreign and not appreciated. As believers in Christ, we were born again with the divine life & we are clothed with the economical Spirit for us to GO unto the uttermost parts of the earth to bring the high gospel the Lord has shown us to every human being!
Matt. 24:14 says “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” We have a commission, to go and speak/preach the gospel, in oneness with the Lord (who is the moving and flowing Triune God) – but most of us are set, settled, and occupied with the things of this life, earning a living, taking care of our families, etc….
There is no excuse but rather, there is a supply within: this life within us does not feel good until it spreads! On the one hand, the divine life spreads into all our being, saturating our mind, emotion, will, and even our mortal body. On the other hand, this life wants an increase, to increase in many other human beings who are thirsty for the real thing – for God!
As we grow in the human life, we need to move for our school, our jobs, our family, or even because we like a certain place…. the human life is filled with moving – the more we move, the better! In the same way, we need to be open and before the Lord about His move, His increase, His spread on the earth,
Lord, where do You want me to be? Where would You like to increase, and You want me part of this? May the Lord save us from being set, settled, and occupied – and free us from anything else to be available to Him for His increase!
