After fighting His enemies, Christ will establish the kingdom of God on the earth, the millennial kingdom, and He will reign with His overcoming believers for a thousand years; first, He binds Satan and casts him into the abyss, and then the millennial kingdom comes with its heavenly and earthly section on the earth.
Lord Jesus, we love You! We open to You! We come to You. We want to be filled with You. We want to know You in an intimate and subjective way. We want to live one spirit with You today. Amen, Lord, grant us to be the overcoming believers You need in this age who will bring You back and who will reign with You in the next age. We aspire to be the co-kings with Christ in the millennial kingdom! Amen, Lord, perfect us, prepare us, and train us for this! Amen!
This week in our prayerful consideration of the book of Revelation to see how we can experience, enjoy, and express Christ for the fulfilment of God’s purpose we come to some precious points in chapters 19 and 20.
We want to see Christ—the Establisher of the Kingdom and the Word of God—King of Kings and Lord of Lords. After Christ accomplished the work of redemption, He ascended to the Father and was given dominion, glory, and a kingdom (Dan. 7:14). He received the kingdom from the Father.
In Luke 19 we see how a nobleman travelled to a distant country and will receive a kingdom and return; after Christ finished the work of redemption, He received the kingdom from the Father, and at the appointed time, He will return. He will return to bring that kingdom to the earth.
This involves a process; there’s a process of establishing the kingdom. Christ received the kingdom, but that kingdom needs to be established fully on the earth.
In Revelation 20 we see Christ as the Establisher of the kingdom. What is the kingdom of God? Many Christians have different concepts and views about what the kingdom of God is.
In brief, the kingdom of God is a realm stretching from eternity to eternity, a realm within which God can freely exercise His dominion to rule and reign.
From eternity past to eternity future, there’s the great kingdom of God.
When God came to create man in Genesis, this is a reference point, for it is then that God revealed to us His heart’s desire and intention; He created man in His image and likeness and He committed man with His dominion.
He wants man to rule over all things for God, in particular, to subdue God’s enemy and defeat him. He also wants man to bring in the kigndom of God on the earth. This is such a glorious purpose, and God will gain His purpose! Amen!
After Fighting His Enemies and Casting Satan into the Abyss, Christ will Establish the Kingdom of God on earth, the Millennial Kingdom

Even though man was created in God’s image and was given God’s dominion to subdue the earth (Gen. 1:26), he failed and did not fulfil God’s intention.
Adam failed to defeat God’s enemy and did not bring in the kingdom of God. So God chose Abraham, the father of the called race, and promised him that he will make him a great nation.
In the Old Testament, we see God’s kingdom with the nation of Israel, for God wanted to gain a kingdom on earth.
However, as seen in the history of the people of Israel, God could not gain His kingdom with them.
Therefore, four thousand years after Adam, God Himself became a man in the person of Jesus Christ; He came as the sower of the kingdom, and He Himself was the reality of the kingdom.
In Him God had the full way to express His dominion and authority. He came as the Sower to sow the seeds of the kingdom into all God’s chosen people.
From the time of the Lord’s incarnation, the kingdom is no longer objective; it is now being sown into the hearts of man, and the kingdom is something subjective.
God’s kingdom is a matter of life; it is in the form of a seed growing within all the believers. Together, all believers are collectively the church.
In Romans 14 we are told that the church is the practical kingdom of God. The kingdom was taken from the people of Israel, who were not faithful to afford God the absolute rule, and was transferred to the church in the New Testament.
Today we believers in Christ are part of the church, the kingdom of God; the kingdom of God is here with us and among us. Christ as the Sower, sowed Himself as the kingdom seed into our heart, and He is growing in us to be the kingdom of God, a realm in which God can rule and reign.
He is growing in us, we are dealing with all the problems to this growth, and we allow Him to rule and reign in us.
Then one day, the millennial kingdom will be manifested, when Christ will reign with His overcoming believers with Him.
In Revelation 20:1-6 we see Christ as the Establisher of the kingdom.
After fighting all His enemies, Christ will establish the kingdom of God on the earth, the millennial kingdom, and He will reign with His overcoming believers for a thousand years. Praise the Lord!
The whole earth must be cleared up as a preparation for God’s kingdom to come. In Revelation 12:10 we hear the cry, Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ.
This was not the time that the kingdom has come, for there will be three and a half years of great tribulation, and the kingdom will come.
However, in the eyes of those who have been raptured to the heavens, the kingdom has already come.
During the last three and a half years of this age, the great tribulation, there will be the rapture of the majority of the saints, the destruction of the religious Babylon (the anihilation of Catholicism), the destruction of Judaism, and the fall of material Babylon.
Following all this, there will be the war at Armageddon. The whole earth will be cleared up in preparation for God’s kingdom to come.
When we come to Revelation 20, only one thing remains: Satan, the source of all the problems.
We want to clear up this problem, and Christ will take care of it. An angel comes down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand; he lays hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and he binds him for a thousand years.
Satan will be bound and cast into the abyss for one thousand years, and during this time, the millennial kingdom will be present. The kingdom is coming during the next age, when Satan is cast into the abyss and locked up. Praise the Lord!
Although Satan was judged by Christ on the cross, that judgment has not yet been fully executed.
When the Lord Jesus returns, He will fully execute the judgment that He accomplished on the cross upon Satan. Praise the Lord, Satan will be bound and cast into the abyss, being powerless to act or damage anyone; then the earth will become the kingdom of Christ. Praise the Lord!
In Genesis, after Satan the serpent deceived Eve, God pronounced the sentence on him: the Seed of the woman will crush his head. Later, when Christ came, He exercised God’s authority to cast out demons, heal the sick, and cleanse the lepers.
Then in John 12:31 He said that now is the judgment of this world, now has the ruler of this world been cast out.
On the cross, even though Satan thought he would kill Christ, the Son of God, it was Christ who defeated him and judged him. Christ put an end to the works of the devil and judged him on the cross. He died as the brass serpent to destroy the serpent with his power.
And when Christ returns the second time with His overcomers, He will accomplish the judgment on Satan and will bring in the millennial kingdom! Praise the Lord!
Lord Jesus, we praise You for destroying the devil on the cross through Your death! Hallelujah, Satan has been condemned by God to be destroyed, and Christ destroyed him on the cross! Amen, Lord, we stand in Your victory today. We proclaim Your victory. We apply Your victory in our Christian life. We want to be one with You today. We allow You to rule and reign in us. May Your kingdom come in our being, in our family life, and in the church life. Grow in us as the seed of the kingdom until there’s a realm in which God can rule and reign. Oh Lord Jesus, may Your kingdom come! We are looking forward to Your coming to destroy all Your enemies and cast Satan into the abyss so that the kingdom would come to the earth! Amen, Lord, grant us to be Your overcoming saints in this age so that we may rule and reign with You in the kingdom age! Clear up anything of Satan’s kingdom and usurpation in our being. May we be fully one with You in our daily life today so that Your kingdom would advance in us!
The Millennium is in Two Sections: the Heavenly Section where the Overcoming Believers Reign and the Kingdom the Messiah (the Lower Section) where the Saved Jews Teach the Restored Nations to serve God

If we read the Bible carefully and if we prayerfully consider the prophecies concerning the millennial kingdom, we will see that it is of two sections: the upper (heavenly) section and the lower (earthly) section.
In Matthew 13:43, we are told that the upper section of the millennium is called the kingdom of the Father; in verse 41 we see that the lower section is the kingdom of the Son of Man.
There will be two sections and there will be three people in the millennial kingdom.
The first of the three peoples are the overcoming saints, which include those of both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
The overcoming saints will be co-kings with Christ. We aspire to be among those who overcome today so that we may be in the heavenly section of the millennial kingdom to rule and reign with Christ. This is the upper section, the royal portion of the millennium.
The second group of people are in the lower section; they are the preserved and proper Jews, who will be saved at the time of the Lord’s coming back.
We see this in Zechariah 12:10-14, where the Jews who are alive at the time of the Lord’s return will look on Him whom they have pierced, and they will repent. They will be the third part who will pass through fire and be refined (13:9).
These saved Jews will enter into the millennium as priests and they will carry out their priesthood, teaching the nations to seek God and know Him.
This will fulfil Isaiah 2:2-3, for the nations will learn of God through the instruction of the Jews, who will be priests. The Lord will gain some priests for Himself, those who will speak as the ministers of our God (Isa. 61:6).
As Zechariah 8:23 says, in those days, from all the languages of the nations, ten men will take hold, indeed, they will take hold of the skirt of a Jewish man, saying, Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.
Wow, in those days the repentant and recovered Jews will be so precious and so warmly welcomed! Wonderful!
The third group of people in the millennial kingdom will be the “sheep” spoken of in Matthew 25.
These are the restored nations, the unsaved nations that help God’s people during the great tribulation. They will inhabit the earth and they will be taught by the Jews to know God and worship Him.
In the lower section of the millennium – the kingdom of the Son of Man – Jesus as the seed of David will be King over the Jews, and through the Jews, over the nations.
Our portion as believers in Christ is, or should be, to rule and reign with Christ in the heavens, in the heavenly portion of the millennial kingdom.
If we are the overcoming believers, we will participate in the heavenly section of the millennium. The saved Jews will be in the lower section as priests, in the restored Tabernacle of David, and the nations will be on the earth.
This is what the Bible shows us concerning the millennial kingdom, which the Lord will bring at His coming, after He has defeated all His enemies and has cleared the earth of all problems.
Today we want to give the Lord our best cooperation to grow in us as the kingdom of God so that, when He returns, we inherit the kingdom to rule and reign with Him in the heavens.
On the one hand, it is good to know all these things which will take place, for all of them will happen and are prophesied in the Bible.
On the other hand, we should not be stressed or distracted by these matters but rather, we should cooperate with the Lord to be produced as His overcoming believers in our lifetime, loving Him, allowing Him to reign in us, and being one with Him in all things.
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see what will take place during the next age, the age of the millennium, as prophesied in the Bible! May we see that there will be a heavenly section of the millennial kingdom where the overcoming saints will reign with Christ! Amen, Lord, we aspire to be Your overcomers in this age so that we may rule and reign with You as Your co-kings in the next. Show us how to cooperate with You today so that You may reign in us and Your kingdom may come in us. Grow in us unto maturity. Transform us. Reign in us. May we reign in life by receiving the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness. We enthrone You in our being. May there be a clear sky between You and us, and may the Lord be on the throne in the centre of our being. Amen, Lord, we want to give You our best cooperation today so that we may be with You in the next age, ruling and reigning as co-kings in the millennial kingdom! May Your kingdom come and Your will be done! Amen!

– Jesus the kingdom has come into us, / Reigning and shining He’s all glorious, / Christ as the seed is the King who has come, / Into our spirit His kingdom He’s sown. / O let Him grow, O let Him grow; / His kingdom life be all we know. / Jesus, the kingdom is sown into us; / Jesus, the kingdom, O how glorious! (Hymns #1301 stanza 1 and chorus)
– God’s Kingdom today is a real exercise, / But when Christ comes to reign it will be a great prize; / It is wisdom divine that we now may be trained / That His plan be fulfilled and His justice maintained. / God’s children, we’re born to be kings with His Son, / And we need to be trained that we may overcome / And to know how to rule in His kingdom as kings, / That His kingship thru us be expressed o’er all things. (Hymns #947 stanzas 1-2)
– That great dragon, the old serpent called the devil, down is cast; / Satan and his fallen angels’ long deceiving days are past! / Now our praises like a thunder through the universe shall blast— / The victory is won! (Hymns #1101 stanza 2)

The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 4349-4350, by Witness Lee
Dear brother, praise the Lord for Christ as the Establisher of the kingdom!
After fighting His enemies, Christ will establish the kingdom of God on the earth, the millennial kingdom, and reign with His overcoming believers for a thousand years.
Only one thing remains: dealing with Satan, the source of all the problems.
Christ judged Satan on the cross, but this judgment will be fully executed when the Lord returns. Then, there will be the millennial kingdom, with the upper section where we, the overcoming believers, rule and reign with Christ, and the lower section where the saved Jews are priests to God to teach the nations concerning God.
Christ will come to establish His Kingdom on the earth once the Devil, Satan – who is the cause of all problems – is bound in the abyss.
Such a Kingdom will include the upper, heavenly section of the Kingdom of the Father, Christ with His overcoming saints as co-kings, and the lower, earthly section of the Kingdom of the Son of Man with the saved, proper Jews as priests leading the nations to seek God as well as the sheep mentioned in Matthew 25. Praise the Lord!
Amen Lord Jesus, make us your overcoming saints today!
The Lord has made us His overcomers, so we may co-reign and rule alongside Him in the coming upper millennial kingdom. We love you, Lord
