Open the Door of our Heart for the Lord to come In & Have Mutual Enjoyment with Christ

May 15, 2026 by aGodMan 13 Comments

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and dine with him and he with Me. Rev. 3:20

In Revelation 3:20 we see that the Lord is standing outside the door of the degraded recovered church, knocking at the door to come in and dine with those who open; we need to be saved from any lukewarmness and spiritual pride, and we need to personally open the door of our heart for the […]

The need for Spiritual Foot-Washing in the Church Life to Maintain the Fellowship

Without the spiritual foot-washing, the church life cannot be realized, and the reality of the church life would be gone. Witness Lee

The Lord Jesus loved us to the uttermost, so He washed our feet; foot-washing in John 13 shouldn’t be taken merely in a physical sense, but even more, in a spiritual sense, for we need the Lord’s spiritual foot-washing day by day as we live in this world. Amen! This week in our morning […]

Feasting with the Lord by Entering into His Rest and Enjoying Him with the Saints

Exo. 5:1 ...Let My people go that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.

God desires that His people feast with the Lord, that is, that we as His people would be joyful and at rest with Him as we are feasting with the Lord and with the saints. The feasts and the matter of feasting is of great significance in the Bible, for as soon as God gained […]

Church Life is a Life of Feasting: we Serve the Lord and Testify of Resurrection Life

January 24, 2018 by aGodMan 7 Comments

Martha’s service was good, but it did not attract people. It was the testimony of Lazarus that attracted them....It is not a kind of work; it is a kind of life. It is not by laboring; it is by enjoying the Lord. It gives people the feeling of resurrection power, the manifestation of resurrection life, and the enjoyment of the Lord as life. This is a strong testimony that the Lord can make dead persons so living and enable them to feast with Him....There must be not only the service of practical affairs but also the ministry of life. Martha’s service is necessary, but Lazarus’s ministry is even more necessary. Witness Lee, Life-study of John, p. 305

Outwardly the church may seem poor and afflicted, but inwardly the church life is a life of feasting in and with the presence of the Lord, full of saints who serve the Lord, testify of His resurrection life, and love Him. The story in John 12 is a type of the church life, for the […]
