it is not good for God to be alone: He needs the church as His wife (sharing from the yp conference)

May 14, 2011 by aGodMan 1 Comment

“The line of life in Genesis” it was a subject of the conference of the recent Young People’s conference in Lipowiek, Poland. Every book of Bible has its own outline – the outline of Genesis starts like this: “God created, Satan corrupted, man fell, and Jehovah promised to save.”

Satan was perfectly beautiful, full of wisdom – he was covering the ark, he possessed royal dignity, he had an access to God’s presence, but he rebelled against God because of the pride in his heart. Satan’s rebellion brought in God’s judgement. God doesn’t tolerate any cases of rebellion among His creation.

We need to look not at ourselves, but rather Look At The Lord – and we shall not be proud! God’s will can make us such people as Christ is. Our Lord wants to have a people who will have His nature. Our only aim is to gain God and live for Him. God created a man as a vessel containing Him as a life. We are the vessels designed for containing God – we are or destined to contain God!

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says,  “He has made everything beautiful in its time, also He has put eternity into man’s heart,(God gave us an eternal sense of purpose which nothing under the sun can satisfy except God Himself), yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. ” Even as we get older, the eternity and the feeling of purpose – which God implanted in our hearts – still will be in us.

We must eat, drink, and breathe the Lord Jesus so that we may grow unto salvation! God gives us a free choice in every situation. Even today we can choose God. When our mind is set on the flesh we have death, but when our mind is set on the spirit we have life and peace (Rom. 8:6).

By believing into the Son of God we have eternal life, through which the Lord can be expressed in us. Saints, every time we are together at the meeting we should share our enjoyment of the Lord so that we may shame the enemy. We shouldn’t be ashamed to speak about God because we have a spirit. Our spirit is life. Our spirit in us is brave!

God doesn’t want us to die. He doesn’t do anything by accident. Everything He does in our life is full of purpose. When God was creating Adam and Eve – He was thinking about us. God is “a lonely God” – He is looking for a counterpart. God created marriage to show the relationship between Christ and the Church. Marriage is very holy in God’s eyes. Satan hates marriage – this is why he wants to destroy it. That’s the reason why now we have so many divorces and so many families falling apart. But God’s great desire is to have a wife and He desires her so much that He became a man and He came into the world.

The Bible says: “And Jehovah God said, It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper as his counterpart.” (Genesis 2:18) It’s not good for man to be alone – It’s not good for God to be alone! Christ is going to have a wife forever.

By receiving the divine life we were betrothed to our Lord – we got “engaged” with the Lord(2 Cor. 11:2). Now the church is holy in God’s eyes. We need to see the Church in the same way that God sees it. What is the church? The Church is simply Christ in me, Christ in you, and Christ in us! Only this what comes out of God can satisfy Him and can match Him! Saints, we have to tell the Lord that we love Him.

One sister asked during the conference, “What is all of this for? Why did God create the world when He knew that Satan would rebel? God also knew that Adam would eat a fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and He knew people would rebel!”

In God’s heart was something deeper. God wants to gain a corporate expression in the universe. This is why we pray today, “Lord, may Your Kingdom come“. Adam and Eve, after being created by God, lived together – this shows that God, the real husband in the universe, will live forever with the regenerated humanity!

We must be separated for the Lord and sanctified unto Him. O Lord, separate us for You from this world! We shouldn’t have close relationships with some friends from school, from the world, and we shouldn’t make friendships with them because our best friend is our Lord! God is more than the best friend – He is so much more!

Also, God gave us this relationship of love with the saints – with all the believers in Christ! We all were bought with the precious blood of Christ. Now we belong to Him. But Satan wants to destroy us through our love for this world, our love for the things which exist in this world and which we sometimes love.

It is important for us to love the Lord – in this way we have a lot of spiritual strength to rescue the unbelievers from this world! Remember, saints, we need so little to make us fall and plunge into this perverse world! [sharing by sister Noemi Sw. from the recent Young People’s Conference in Poland, winter 2011]
