It is so good to see, enjoy, and experience the Christ ministered by John for the dispensing of the Triune God as life into our tripartite being, for He is our Advocate with the Father, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last, and the Living One for our enjoyment of God’s dispensing!
Lord Jesus, grant us a vision of the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity into our being today! We open to You. Save us from focusing on anything else besides Your divine dispensing. May we know You as our Advocate with the Father, the One who pleads our case. May we know You and enjoy You as the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, for God’s dispensing! May we know You as the beginning of God’s creation and the Living One! Hallelujah! Amen!
As we read the writings of John, we see a wonderful Christ ministered by our dear brother, a Christ that is to be enjoyed and experienced by us for the dispensing of the Triune God as life into our tripartite being.
First we see Christ as God in the beginning. God is the source of life, flowing into us as life.
Christ is also the eternal word of God, the Logos, who defines God, explains God, and expresses God. Christ is also God’s only begotten Son of God, who came to declare God for God’s dispensing.
Christ is the eternal life, the uncreated divine life of God for His eternal dispensing. Hallelujah, there is an eternal dispensing going on, and we’re under this divine dispensing!
Christ is also the Giver of the Spirit, who is the Triune God reaching us. He is the Son of Man with the human nature; He’s not only the Son of God but also the Son of Man to dispense God into man.
He accomplished redemption for us, coming to take away our sin, so that God may be dispensed into us. As the Son of Man, He is the Lamb of God coming to take away the sin of the world so that we may be reconciled to God and receive the divine dispensing.
Thank the Lord that He is the Lamb of God making propitiation for our sins, offering Himself to God as a sacrifice for our sins. He not only satisfies God’s demand but also opens the way and enables us to contact God and be under His divine dispensing.
We now have peace toward God, and in this situation of peace, we can enjoy the dispensing of the Triune God into our tripartite being. Praise the Lord! Today we want to see more aspects of Christ revealed in the writings of John for us to partake of the divine dispensing.
Christ is our Advocate with the Father, Interceding for us on our Behalf and pleading our Case for us to Enjoy God’s Dispensing
In 1 John 2:1 we see that Christ is our Advocate with the Father.
The Greek word for Advocate refers to one who is called to another’s side to aid him, a helper. It also refers to one who offers legal aid or one who intercedes on behalf of someone else, thus being an advocate, counsellor, or intercessor.
This is our Christ; He is our Advocate with the Father. He comes to our side, speaks well of us, and takes our case. He also consoles us.
Why do we need an Advocate? Many times we sin, we make mistakes, and we fail due to our weaknesses; when this happens, we need an Advocate with the Father both before God and before Satan.
Satan accuses us all the time. According to Revelation 12:10-11, Satan is accusing God’s children day and night; he accuses us before God and he also accuses God before us, even accusing us in our own conscience.
Satan would accuse us of being unclean, unholy, and unrighteous. We can overcome him because of the blood of the Lamb. God is righteous, and we are not righteous; rather, we are sinful, unrighteous, and we trespass His righteousness.
Therefore, there is a ground for Satan to accuse us. God is holy, but we are not holy; we are unholy, and we sin, even being against God’s holiness. God is glorious, but we are unclean, even dirty and full of uncleanness.
So Satan accuses us before God, for we’re His children, but we’re not righteous; we are not holy, and we are not glorious. This accusation is somewhat true and also legal.
But the Father would say, Satan, look at Jesus Christ the righteous One; My children have a good Attorney. Hallelujah for Christ, our Advocate with the Father, our Attorney!
Satan is subtly legal; after all, we are unrighteous, we commit sins, and we are worthy to be accused, for we actually did those things.
But thank the Lord, our Advocate is here. Sometimes we can be discouraged by the fact that we did something or said something, but our Advocate with the Father brings in consolation.
He fights our case; He defeats the enemy, and His precious blood overcame the enemy. We believe not in our failures but in the Lord, and we tell Satan, Satan, look at the blood of Jesus Christ! Shut up, and don’t say anything!
Satan is accusing us, God’s children, day and night; but we can overcome him by the blood of the Lamb.
We realise that we are unclean, unholy, and unrighteous, and we are defeated; however, we have the blood of Jesus. He is our Advocate with the Father, our Attorney.
We can stand on the blood of Christ and defeat the enemy. We believe into Christ, who is our Advocate, taking our case so that the dispensing of life can keep going on all the time.
He also consoles us in the process. We can tell the enemy to go to the lake of fire; we don’t spend a lot of time talking to him, but we can praise the Lord, apply His blood, and go on!
Lord Jesus, thank You for being our Advocate with the Father! Thank You for taking our case before the Father, coming alongside us to aid us. Hallelujah, even though we are not perfect, we have the perfect blood of Christ! Thank You, Lord, for being our Advocate with the Father. Thank Your for being our Counsellor and our Attorney. Even though we are unclean and unholy, we have the precious, prevailing blood of Christ. Amen, even though we are unrighteous and sinful, we can stand on the Lord’s merit and we can declare to the enemy that Jesus is Lord! Amen! Satan, shut up! Don’t say anything! We praise the Lamb of God! Hallelujah to the Lamb! Hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb! Amen, praise the Lord for His precious, overcoming blood! Even though Satan accuses us, we can tell him to go back to the lake of fire, for we are one with the Lord! Amen, Lord, we apply Your precious blood and we stand one with You today! We open to You to receive and enjoy Your divine dispensing! Amen!
Christ is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the beginning of the Creation of God, and the Living One for the Dispensing of God’s life into us!
Our Christ is the Alpha and the Omega (Rev. 22:13). The Greek alphabet begins with Alpha and ends with Omega. In the Greek alphabet, Christ is the first letter, Alpha, and the last letter, Omega; He is also all the letters in between for the inexhaustible dispensing of life.
The alphabet exists to convey Christ for the dispensing of the Triune God into the tripartite man. Our Christ is inexhaustible in the process of dispensing.
There is a continual process of dispensing going on, and there are infinite combinations of letters that are for the dispensing of the Triune God as life into man.
We just need to be open to the divine dispensing, and we will receive more and more of Christ as the Word of life. We may sin, but we don’t stop here: we confess our sins and come to the Lord to enjoy more dispensing! Amen!
Christ is the First and the Last (2:8; 22:13b), the ever-existing, unchanging One. No matter what our environment is, no matter what is the persecution and opposition, and no matter the troubles, hardships, and suffering, the Lord remains the same.
Nothing can precede Him, nor can anything exist after Him. All things are within the limits of His control. Christ occupies everything and every place.
He is not only the beginning and the end: He is the first and the last, and He is everything in between. All things are arranged by Him for the divine dispensing of the Triune God as life into man.
Christ is the Beginning and the End (v. 13). The fact that He is the beginning indicates that He is the origin of all things. The fact that He is the end shows that He is the consummation of all things.
What this means is that not only is there nothing before or after the Lord Jesus but also that there is no origination and consummation without Him (Rom. 11:36).
He is the first, He is the last, He is the beginning, and He is the end; there is nothing and no one apart from Him, and He is such a One for the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity into us.
It is amazing to see such simple expressions expressing such a deep reality related to the divine dispensing.
The writings of John touch the divine things; the divine things have no beginning or end, for whatever is divine is eternal – having no beginning or end. John purposely wrote his books using such expressions.
He intended to show that, whatever he ministered to us, was eternal, with no beginning or ending.
Christ is the One ministered by John to us through his writings, so that this Christ may be dispensed into us. Christ is everything, the eternal One, with no beginning or ending.
He occupies everything and every place, and He does not give us any position. We are nothing, but He is everything!
He is the first, He is the Last, and He is everything and everyone in between – He is the One who fills all and in all for the divine dispensing of the Triune God into the tripartite man! Amen!
In Revelation 3:14, we see that Christ is the beginning of the creation of God, referring to the Lord as the origin or source of God’s creation.
This implies that the Lord is the unchanging and ever-existing source of God’s work for the purpose of dispensing God into His chosen ones. Hallelujah! Both in creation and in God’s work, Christ is everything and in everything.
To the degraded, recovered church in Laodicea, the Lord says that He is the unchanging One, ever-existing One.
Though the church in Laodicea has changed by leaving the Lord as the source (Jer. 2:13), the Lord still remains the same, always available to dispense the Triune God into man. Hallelujah!
The problem with Laodicea and with us many times is that we leave the Lord as our source. This is a warning to us. We need to be vigilant about this. As Jeremiah 2:13 says, we may forsake the Lord as the source of living waters and hew out for ourselves broken cisterns which hold no water.
He is always available and ready to dispense Himself into us, but He’s waiting for us to realise that we have broken cisterns which hold no water.
Christ is the living One; in Revelation 1:17-18 He said, “I am…the living One; and I became dead, and behold, I am living forever and ever; and I have the keys of death and of Hades.”
For Christ to dispense life, He must be the living One to make the church the house of the living God (1 Tim. 3:15).
He is the living One. He always lives; He is living, and He lives to dispense Himself as life into us. We simply need to know and enjoy this One, the Christ who is the living One to dispense the Triune God into our tripartite being.
Lord Jesus, we open to Your divine dispensing today! We praise You for being the Alpha and the Omega, even all the letters in between for the inexhaustible dispensing of life! Hallelujah, Christ is everything we need for the dispensing of the Triune God into our tripartite being! Praise the Lord, Christ is the First and the Last, the ever-existing, unchanging One! Amen, Lord, even though we may have troubles, persecution, and suffering in the world, we believe that all things are within the limits of Your control! Amen, Christ occupies everything and every place! We praise You, Lord, for being the Beginning and the End! You are the origin of all things and the consummation of all things for the dispensing of the Triune God into the tripartite man! Praise the Lord, Christ is the living One to dispense life and make the church the house of the living God! Amen, Lord, we open to Your divine dispensing today! We want to enjoy You and experience You in the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity! Amen!
