Being a Christian Student on the campus – Practically applying the Life-Giving Spirit to Our Lives

November 12, 2011 by Christian Student 6 Comments

When I sit down to write a paper or to study for an exam, the temptation to procrastinate can be relentlessly strong. Sometimes, I sit down in the library and an hour or so later I find that I’ve read twenty news articles and completed absolutely no work. This is what Ephesians 5:16 means by redeeming the time, for the days are evil. It is good to open our beings to the Lord in every decision, no matter how petty they seem…

we are commissioned to preach the high gospel, the entire truth revealed in the Word of God

No matter how modern, cool, or amazing things people have or invent – the advance of the technology and entertainment in the world today has not filled the emptiness within man; rather, it has enlarged it, since they try to be filled and happy with so many things when only One Thing satisfies – God Himself! Only the high truths in the Lord’s recovery can match the need of today’s hunger in the world – people are fed up with the low feel-good gospel in the Christianity.

being a christian student on the campus – take care of the Lord first and make a schedule!

November 12, 2011 by Christian Student 1 Comment

If you give the Lord one hour, He will give you two hours back. Writing an essay is not a matter of ‘quantity’ of time, it’s a matter of ‘quality’. I’ve found that once I’ve enjoyed the Lord, my mind is calm and I’m able to sit down and actually get something done! If I start an essay without touching the Lord, it’s really like untangling a big ball of spaghetti!

being a Christian student on the campus: Love the Lord and gain Him – there is no other way!

November 10, 2011 by aGodMan 5 Comments

Given the insurmountable workload, the constant stress, and the many “attractions” that university life has to offer, it is easy to lose sight of the fact that we have been called out of the world and into Him – we have been called to be a lover of Christ. To this, I have many a times fallen victim. Yet, the Lord is gracious. If we only turn back to Him, He is faithful to be our daily moment-by-moment supply.

the divine truth is revealed in the Bible, the Word of God; we need to be absolute for the truth!

November 7, 2011 by aGodMan 2 Comments

The first and foremost matter in the Lord’s recovery is NOT a person and is NOT an experience – it is THE TRUTH. What brought us into the Lord’s recovery and what keeps us here is not merely the sweet church life, the vital groups, the gospel preaching, the rich meetings, or even some persons who are enjoying the Lord very much and are our patterns. The first great pillar in the Lord’s recovery is the Truth, and what brought us into the Lord’s recovery is the truth. The extent to which the Lord can recover our being to His original intention is the extent to which we are constituted with the truth.

the full time training is for the building up of the Body of Christ! (short testimony)

Even though I was in the FTTL for a short period of time, I was brought into the realization of a lot of things. WE NEED TO BE TRAINED! After one month and one week of short term training, I realised that 2 years is definitely necessary. In the training, you are brought on the high mountain and you enjoy God’s presence and His infusion. Can you imagine – Moses went up to the mountain and stayed there to enjoy the infusion of the Lord for “JUST” 40 days, and this caused him to express the glory of God? What about being in God’s presence for 2 years? [testimony from a brother who recently joined the FTTL short-term]

The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery: Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel (ITERO 2011)

Praise the Lord for the recent ITERO in Holland! The main topic of the fall International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones, held in Baarloo, Holland, is, The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery. These four great pillars are Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel. There is a book with the same name published by Living Stream Ministry (The Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel, Four Great Pillars in The Lord’s Recovery). This portion here is just a short enjoyment from this message, and is an attempt to bring more saints in the fellowship and collective enjoyment of the Lord’s up-to-date speaking.
