Our God is a Speaking God, and this Speaking God desires to have a Speaking People

October 21, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

For He spoke, and it was; He commanded, and it stood. Psa. 33:9

Our God is a speaking God; He is no longer merely hidden and mysterious, but He is speaking, He revealed Himself, and we today are the speaking people of our speaking God. In Num. 11:29 there’s a hidden small gem, a crystal, which is the expression of God’s desire and Moses’ desire, Oh that all […]

Being those who Properly Represent God with His Authority as Ambassadors of Christ

October 19, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

On behalf of Christ then we are ambassadors, as God entreats you through us; we beseech you on behalf of Christ, Be reconciled to God. 2 Cor. 5:20

In the book of Numbers we see that the one who has been appointed by God to be a deputy authority must be a proper representative of God; we need to see the characteristics of those who properly represent God with His authority to His people. This week we have been looking at the book […]

We need to be Saved from Ambition and from Rebelling against God’s Deputy Authority

October 17, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Who being reviled did not revile in return; suffering, He did not threaten but kept committing all to Him who judges righteously. 1 Pet. 2:23

In Num. 12 and 16 of Numbers we see the rebellion against God’s deputy authority, how Moses reacted to it, and how God deals with rebellion. In the book of Numbers it seems that there was rebellion after rebellion, from the murmuring of the people of Israel against Moses and against God concerning their basic […]

Authority and Rebellion: we need to Submit to God’s Authority and Reject Rebellion

October 16, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

...Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and upon the throne there was One sitting. Rev. 4:2

The unique controversy between God and Satan concerns authority and rebellion; rebellion is the denial of God’s authority and the rejection of God’s rule, so we as believers should submit to God’s authority and uphold it, and we should assert that authority is with God. There are two great principles in the universe – God’s […]

We Submit to God’s Authority when we Submit to the Delegated Authority He set over us

October 15, 2019 by aGodMan 1 Comment

It is easy today for man to submit to God’s direct authority, but it is not easy to submit to the delegated authority God has appointed. The reason for this is that you may not consider the delegated authority better or stronger than you are….When you come to a local church, the elders there may not have been saved as long ago as you were. They may not be as spiritual as you are, may not have received as much education as you have received, and may not be as capable as you are. But when you are there, you have to accept that delegated authority and submit to it. Witness Lee, The Elders’ Management of the Church, p. 141

In this universe only God is the supreme authority, and all other authorities are delegated authorities, deputy authorities, authorities appointed by God; when we submit to and obey the deputy authority, we obey and submit to God. God is the supreme authority; He has all authority, and He gives authority to particular persons in a […]

We must Realise that God is the Supreme Authority and we must Touch God’s Authority

October 14, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Or does not the potter have authority over the clay to make out of the same lump one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor? Rom. 9:21

In this universe God is the supreme authority; He has all the authority, and we need to know authority, submit to God’s authority, and also submit to God’s delegated authority. In our deeper study of the book of Numbers this week we come to the matter of Authority, Rebellion, the Vindication of Delegated Authority, and […]

Going Forward in God’s Glorious Goal to Enjoy Christ with all the Saints in the Body

October 12, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Brothers, I do not account of myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do: Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward. Phil. 3:13-14

The story in Num. 32 needs to be a warning to us, for if we care too much about ourselves and our enjoyment but not for God’s people, not being willing to go forward, we will not be able to fulfill God’s will and plan or reach God’s glorious goal. Outwardly what the two and […]
