God Intends to Bring us into Glory and Set us on the Throne to Rule and Reign with Christ

He who overcomes, to him I will give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne. Rev. 3:21

The One on the throne has the appearance of a man and also the glory of Jehovah, for He is the God-man Jesus Christ, the mingling of God and man; God wants not only Christ to be on the throne but also the believers in Christ to be brought into glory and sit on the throne with Christ to rule and reign with Him.

Hallelujah, we are being saved all the way into glory, even to rule and reign with Christ on the throne! Amen, Lord, mingle Yourself more with us today. Work Yourself into us. Work in us and work around us. We just open to You. Gain in us what You are after. Lead us into glory. Have Your way to gain us as people of the throne. Bring us all the way into glory so that we may overcome, even as Christ overcame, and sit with Christ on the throne! Amen!

What a lofty and high intention God has toward us, those created in His image and according to His likeness!

We are meant not only to be saved from eternal perdition and be in God’s presence but even more, to rule and reign with Him on the throne! This, of course, is not accomplished in this age; we will not rule as a ruler in this age outwardly, but we do rule and reign with Christ inwardly over anything of the enemy and over ourselves.

If today we have a clear sky with the throne of God above it, if we enthrone the Lord and let Him rule and reign in us, we will rule and reign with Him in the coming age.

God is on the throne in the universe, and soon He will bring in the end of this age and the judgment of all; until that time, we need to be those who allow Him to rule and reign in us.

The throne is not only for God to reign over us but also for God to accomplish His eternal purpose.

If we believers in Christ have the throne in our spiritual life, God will not only rule over us but also fulfil His purpose in us, with us, and through us (Rom. 5:17, 21; Matt. 28:18-20).

We want to allow God to rule and reign in us, setting up His throne in the center of our being.

The throne has the appearance of a sapphire stone, which is blue in colour; it signifies the heavenly situation, condition, and atmosphere of Christ’s ruling presence (Exo. 24:10).

As we deal with anything in our conscience that the Lord shines on, we have a clear sky with the throne of God above it.

The Lord rules and reigns, and we are in the heavenly situation, condition, and atmosphere of Christ’s ruling presence. May we remain here, under His ruling and reigning, living a heavenly life on earth in His ruling presence.

The One on the Throne is both God and Man: this is Jesus Christ, the God-man, the Mingling of God and Man

And he said, Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God. Acts 7:56

Both in Revelation 21-22 and in Ezekiel 1 we see that the One on the throne is not just God but also a man. In Ezekiel 1 we see that the One on the throne looks like a man, yet with Him there’s the appearance of the glory of Jehovah, indicating that the One sitting on the throne is both God and man (Ezek. 1:26, 28).

Many people know that God is on the throne, but did you know that there is a Man on the throne? Yes, God rules and reigns, but there is also a Man who is in God, even who became God, and who reigns one with God! Wow!

God’s desire is to become the same as man is to make man the same as He is. This means that His intention is to mingle Himself with man and thereby make Himself like man so that man would be made the same as God. Wow!

This is what we see in the Gospels: the Lord Jesus came as the God-man; He was the complete God and the perfect man. We may say that He is the man-God, the God-man.

This is very mysterious; He was not just man nor was He just God – He was the God-man, God mingled with man.

Jesus Christ was the complete God, and He was incarnated to be a man; having the nature of man, He lived, died, resurrected, and ascended as a man, and now as the One on the throne, He is still the Son of Man (John 1:1, 14; 6:62; Acts 7:56, 59-60).

God’s intention is related to man, and His heart’s desire involves man in an intimate way. God wants man to be brought into God, even to be glorified and be on the throne, so He went through a process.

He became a man, bringing the infinite God into the finite man, and He united and mingled the Triune God with the tripartite man.

This is very mysterious, for the very God who is omnipresent, omniscient, ever-existing, and self-existing one day became man, being incarnated in a human being, to be a God-man! Wow!

Even more, He lived as a Man, having a perfect human living, and after His earthly ministry, He was unrighteously put to death and died on the cross.

How can God die? In Himself, He cannot die, but when He became a man, He could die as a man. Amazing! Three days after His death, He resurrected and became a life-giving Spirit and was begotten as God’s firstborn Son in His humanity.

And above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, like the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was One in appearance like a man, above it...Like the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud on a day of rain, such was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Jehovah. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and I heard the voice of someone speaking. Ezek. 1:26, 28Through His death and resurrection, He brought humanity into divinity. Now He is in resurrection and ascension, and He still is the Son of Man!

When Stephen was being stoned to death, he looked to the heavens, saw heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Lord Jesus as the first God-man is still a Man today, and He is ruling and reigning over the whole universe as the man-God, the God-man!

Since the ascension of the Lord Jesus there has been a man on the throne (Matt. 19:28). As a Man, as the resurrected and ascended God-man, Jesus Christ has been given all authority in heaven and on earth, and now He is ruling and reigning as a man! Praise the Lord!

In the millennium and in the new heaven and new earth for eternity, there will still be a man on the throne (Rev. 22:1, 3).

The One on the throne in the New Jerusalem is not just God but the Lamb, the God who became the Redeeming Lamb, the Lamb-God. Wow!

Satan wanted to be like God, even to make himself the same as God, and he rebelled against God, trying to lift up his throne above God’s.

But God wants man to be on the throne, and even though man failed due to Satan’s deceit and temptation, God became a man, and He has cut the way into glory.

He pioneered the way into glory, entered into glory, and has been enthroned as a Man. Now there is a man on the throne, and He is leading us as the many sons of God into glory! Praise the Lord!

Lord Jesus, we praise You for Your incarnation, human living, death, resurrection, and ascension. Praise You for becoming a man to be just like us, and praise You for bringing man into glory! Wow, God was made the same as we are so that He may bring man into God, even to bring man into glory and cause man to be enthroned! Amen, Lord, we worship You as the God-man Jesus Christ on the throne! Praise the Lord, the One on the throne is Jesus, the man-God, the God-man, the mingling of God and man! Thank You for taking the lead and pioneering the way into glory. We praise You as the One on the throne. You are on the throne as the Son of Man! Hallelujah, the One on the throne has the appearance of a man and also has the glory of Jehovah! Amen, since the ascension of the Lord Jesus there has been a man on the throne! Praise the Lord, in the millennium and in the new heaven and new earth for eternity, there will still be a man on the throne! Praise the Lord Jesus, who cut the way into glory, has been enthroned, and He is now leading us as the many sons of God into glory to reign with Him on His throne! Amen!

God Intends to Bring us into Glory and Set us on the Throne to Rule and Reign with Christ

And from the midst of it there came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man. Ezek. 1:5

In the Bible there’s a mysterious thought concerning the relationship between God and man. Both in the Old and in the New Testament we see that God doesn’t want man to merely worship Him and serve Him, not even that man would fellowship with God and contact God.

All these are part of His intention, but there’s a mysterious thought related to God’s relationship with man.

God wants to mingle Himself with man and thereby become the same as man and make man the same as He is in life, in nature, and in expression but not in the Godhead (Gen. 1:26-28). Wow!

Man was created in the image of God to express God and to rule for God, and even though the first man failed, Christ came as God incarnated to fulfil God’s intention, lead the way into glory, and overcome, even to be enthroned to sit on the throne of God! Praise the Lord!

And have made them a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign on the earth. Rev. 5:10 And night will be no more; and they have no need of the light of a lamp and of the light of the sun, for the Lord God will shine upon them; and they will reign forever and ever. Rev. 22:5After the resurrection of Christ, God now has a way to mingle Himself with man, for Christ became a life-giving Spirit to come into our spirit. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord is saved (Acts 2:21), and is born of the Spirit to be spirit (John 3:5-6).

Every genuine believer in Christ is not just a man as part of mankind but even more, is a God-man, part of the God-man kind.

The Lord Jesus is the first God-man, and He cut the way into glory. He was perfected by the things which He suffered, He entered into glory, and has sat down at the right hand of God on the throne (Heb. 2:10-11).

Now He is leading many sons into glory. He is leading us, the many believers in Christ as the many sons of God into glory, even to the throne.

God intends to bring us into glory and set us on the throne to rule and reign with Christ.

We may want to be saved from this besetting sin or that lust, or we may want to be victorious over our temper and the temptations in the world; God’s intention, however, is to bring us into glory and to set us on the throne with Christ.

He intends to work on man so that man can be on the throne.

Many Christians today are satisfied that they are saved, thinking that one day they will go to heaven; God, however, is not satisfied until man is on the throne.

Christ came and overcame, and He was given by the Father to sit with Him on the throne; now we follow Him to overcome so that we may also sit with Him on His throne (Rev. 3:21).

He is the Overcomer, and He is in us; He is making us His overcomers, His duplication and reproduction, so that we may follow Him into glory and sit with Him on the throne.

In Ezekiel 1:5 we see that the One on the throne and the four living creatures both have the appearance of a man, indicating that the four living creatures on earth are the expression of the One on the throne.

This is what God wants to obtain today: He wants to gain the manifestation of God in humanity (1 Tim. 3:15-16).

God in heaven desires to gain man on earth for His expression by working Himself into man (Eph. 3:16-21; Rev. 3:21; 5:10; 20:4; 22:5; Matt. 19:28).

Furthermore, God’s intention is to work on man and in man until man is on the throne. Hallelujah!

He is the Overcomer, and He is making us His overcoming saints. He took the lead and pioneered the way into glory, and now He is leading us into glory.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little inferior to the angels because of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death on behalf of everything. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, in leading many sons into glory, to make the Author of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Heb. 2:9-10As the Pioneer, the Forerunner, the Lord Jesus cut the way to enter into glory and sit on the throne; now we, His many brothers, are following Him (Heb. 2:6-12; Rev. 3:21; 22:5).

He wants to make us people of the throne and bring us into glory. What a glorious destiny we have, and how much we want to cooperate with the Lord to be brought into glory and sit on the throne with Christ! Amen!

If we consider our present condition in the light of God’s intention, we will realise that in so many ways we are still careless and loose, for we’re not yet ready to be on the throne.

No one can sit on the throne in an undignified or improper way.

So the Lord is working in us and around us to perfect us and prepare us to be on the throne with Him, even to be brought into glory.

If we mean business with the Lord as the Lord’s disciples, we cannot be loose, careless, or undisciplined.

We will be a proper human being, even as the Lord Jesus was, so that we may be prepared to be on the throne with the Lord.

We follow the Lord to the throne; He took the lead as the Forerunner (Heb. 6:20), cutting the path to the throne (2:10), and we follow Him.

We are destined for the throne. He took the lead, and we follow. We are marching to the throne, and God is carrying out His intention to bring us into glory and set us on the throne!

Lord Jesus, unveil us to see God’s mysterious intention in His relationship with man as seen in the Bible. May we realise that God intends to mingle Himself with man and thereby become the same as man and make man the same as He is in life, nature, and expression but not in the Godhead! Hallelujah, we were created in the image of God to express God and to rule for God! Amen, Lord, bring us all the way to the throne. Lead us into glory. Work Yourself into us and work on us until we’re brought into glory and until we sit on the throne with Christ. Make us the same as You are. Gain us as Your expression by working Yourself into us. Hallelujah, we are destined for the throne, and we are now marching to the throne, for God intends to bring us into glory and to set us on the throne! Amen, Lord, we open to You today! You overcame and were given to sit on the throne of the Father, and now You are in us as the Overcomer! Make us Your overcomers! Lead us into glory! Bring us all the way to the throne! Amen!

Ezekiel 1:26 speaks of “the likeness of a throne, like the appearance of a sapphire stone.”…The sapphire stone signifies the situation or the condition of the heavens with God’s presence in it. The throne being in the likeness of a sapphire stone shows the presence of God in a heavenly situation. Verse 26b says, “Upon the likeness of the throne was One in appearance like a man, above it.” Here we are told that the One on the throne looks like a man…However, verse 28 speaks of “the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Jehovah.” The One on the throne looks like a man, yet with Him there is the appearance of the glory of the Lord. There is at least a twofold significance to the fact that the One sitting on the throne here has the appearance of a man. First, there is surely a connection between Ezekiel 1:26 and Genesis 1:26, which says that God created man in His own image and according to His likeness. Second, in the incarnation God Himself became a man. Having the nature of man, He lived, died, resurrected, and ascended as a man, and now in heaven He is still the Son of Man (John 6:62; Acts 7:56).

Dear brother, the Lord Jesus overcame and sat with His Father on the throne, and now He is the Overcomer in us, leading us as the many sons of God into glory for us also to sit on the throne!

May we open to the Lord today for Him to mingle Himself with us and make us the same as He is, even to bring us to the throne! He wants to save us all the way to the throne and make us people of the throne.

Lord Jesus, mingle Yourself with us more today. We open to You. Bring us all the way to the throne. Make us proper human beings who are God-men, marching to the throne to be brought all the way into glory and be set on the throne! Amen!

Amen. Lord, make us people of the throne. If we want God’s purpose and plan to be carried out in us, we must be people who submit to the throne.

God’s intention is to work on man in order that man can be on the throne.

The Lord has cut the path and has taken the lead so that we may follow. Now, we must take the initiative to submit ourselves to Him to make us God-men.

O Lord thank you for leading the way to the throne. Lord rule and reign in us today. Mingle yourself more with us today.

There is a God-man on the throne!

The Lord Jesus took the lead to live a life on the earth as the pioneer and forerunner to overcome and sit with His Father on His throne.

Now God is working Himself into us, to be mingled as one with us and is working Himself on us so we may also follow Him to the throne.

O Lord Jesus continue to work in and on us that You may be the One ruling and reigning in us to overcome all looseness and carelessness to in our daily living. Lord we want to rule and reign with You! Yes, Lord, bring us to Your throne to be people of Your throne as we cooperate with Your mingling of Yourself with us!

For God to accomplish His eternal purpose in relation to man, rule & reign over us, we each need to have a throne in our spiritual life!

Lord, make me a person in complete submission to Your Throne!

The mysterious thought in the Bible concerning the relationship between God and man is depicted by the connection between Gen.1:26 & Ezek. 1:26 – making man in His own image and giving him dominion to rule over the earth!

Oh, there’s the likeness of man on the throne filled with the appearance of the glory of Jehovah!

The Lord Jesus, our pioneer, cut the pathway to the throne with the expectation that having worked Himself into man as his life, man will march on to the throne after Him!

Oh, may we always consider our present condition in light of God’s intention! May we be those Christians who mean business with the Lord! May we be Christians who cannot be loose, careless, and undisciplined in our living! Oh, live Thyself, Lord Jesus through me! Lord, bring us on, the many sons in Your life, all the way to the throne where You are!

Hallelujah brother. The throne not only enables God to rule over us but also to fulfill His purpose in us, with us, and through us.

Only if we are under the reign of God can God carry out His purpose in us. It’s God’s intention for us to be on the throne.

However, if we fail to follow Christ in living on Earth as proper humans, we cannot be on the throne.

Christ has taken the lead so that we may follow. God intends to bring us into glory and to set us on the throne.

Oh brother, God in heaven desires to gain man on earth for His expression by working Himself into man in order that man will be on the throne.

God’s mysterious intention in His relationship with man is to mingle Himself with man and thereby to become the same as man and make man the same as He is in life, in nature, and in expression but not in the Godhead.

We were created in the image of God to express God and to rule for God, and carry out His purpose!

For God to carry out His mysterious intention our Lord Jesus Christ became the prototype, the model of what He intends.

He is the first God man, God yet man, man yet God.

He was incarnated to be a man; having the nature of man, He lived, died, resurrected, and ascended as a man, and now as the One on the throne, He is still the Son of Man.

Moreover, this Model, this Pattern is also the Pioneer, the Forerunner, to cut the way to enter into glory and sit on the throne, and we, His many brothers, are now following Him.

Lord may You gain expression and manifestation in humanity.

Based on the experiences signified in vv. 4-21, the spiritual sky over the heads of the living creatures is crystal clear, like a great expanse of awesome crystal. Furthermore, this sky is expanding and is as stable, unchanging, as crystal. In such a situation, there is nothing between the living creatures and God and nothing between them and one another. They have a thorough fellowship with the Lord and with one another. This requires the maintaining of a pure conscience without any offense toward God and men (Acts 24:16). Ezek. 1:22 footnote 1 on, expanse

The four living creatures are not only for the manifestation of the Lord and not only for the move of the Lord but also for the administration, the government, of the Lord. The Lord is among them and above them for His manifestation, move, and government. In such a situation God is not only the God of heaven but also the God of the earth (see note 3 on Matt. 11:25). Through the living creatures the heavens are open to the earth and are joined to the earth.

The Lord’s presence is always with His throne. The Lord’s throne is both in the third heaven and in our spirit (Rev. 4:2-3; Heb. 4:16 and note 1 on Heb. 4:16; cf. 2 Tim. 4:22). The throne above the crystal clear expanse indicates that whenever we have a “clear sky” in our Christian life and in our church life, we will be under the ruling of the throne. The highest point in our spiritual experience is having a clear sky with a throne above it. To reach this point means that in everything we allow God to have the preeminence and are completely submissive to God’s authority and administration. The throne is not only for God to reign over us but also for God to accomplish His eternal purpose. If we have the throne in our spiritual life, God will not only rule over us but will also fulfill His purpose in us, with us, and through us. Ezek. 1:26 footnote 1 on, a throne.
