God had a dream in eternity to obtain the God-man kind, and for this God became man, so that He may obtain a mass reproduction of Himself and thereby produce a new kind – the God-man kind; we believers in Christ are God-men who live by the divine life to express God and bring in a new revival that will end this age!
Lord Jesus, grant us to see that we are God-men! May we realise that we are men who are regenerated with God’s life to be a new kind, the God-man kind! May we learn to live not by our natural human life but by the divine life so that we may express God! Amen, Lord, transform us, conform us to Your image, and glorify us so that You may make us the same as You are! Gain Your corporate expression in humanity, the group of overcomers who live the life of a God-man today! Amen!
It is truly amazing to be unveiled and see the “diamond” in the “box” of the Bible, that is, to see a vision of God’s eternal economy. If we see that in Christ God became man to make man God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead, our human living will be revolutionised.
As the Gospels clearly show us, God became a man in the person of the Lord Jesus, and He lived the life of a God-man.
He was the first God-man; He lived not in a natural way, not according to His perfect humanity, and not according to His plan and desire but according to God.
He was in constant fellowship with God, did all things according to God, and sought the Father’s will and glory. Never was there on earth such a person, and never was there after Him any one like Him.
He lived a perfect human life and then died on the cross for our redemption. After three days, He resurrected and was begotten by God as His firstborn Son, He became a life-giving Spirit, and He regenerated us all to be the many sons of God. Amazing!
Now He is the God-man who was transfigured to be the firstborn Son of God, and He is also the life-giving Spirit to dispense Himself into us to regenerate us and bring us into a lifelong process of becoming God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead. Praise the Lord!
We need to see what we are as believers in Christ; we are not merely human beings who believe in the teachings of the Bible and do our best to keep them. Much more than this, we are men born of God, that is, we are God-men who learn to live by God’s life for God’s expression on the earth.
How God’s Dream became His Economy for Him to Gain the God-man Kind Expressing God Corporately
According to what the Bible reveals in its essence, God had a dream. The eternal God in His eternity had a “dream” according to His heart’s desire. Then, He made a plan, which the apostle Paul calls God’s economy (1 Tim. 1:4; Eph. 1:10; 3:9).
According to His economy, God created the universe with all the things in it, and He created the earth with the billions of living things. In the center of the universe is the earth, and in the center of the earth is man, for man was made not according to its kind but according to God’s kind, in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:26).
We see God’s dream to have a God-man kind even from Genesis, for His heart’s desire is expressed in His creation of man according to God’s image and likeness to multiply and express God on the earth, subduing the earth and being God’s expression and representation (v. 28).
However, Satan deceived man, and man fell. Then, two thousand years after Abraham, the God who chose Abraham came Himself to become a man. Man failed God again and again, but God became a man to be a God-man, the first God-man.
He lived a perfect human life, died on the cross to terminate anything negative and to redeem us, and in His resurrection He made a mass reproduction of Himself.
He told us that He as a grain of wheat will fall into the ground to die and produce many grains in His resurrection (John 12:24), and this is exactly what He did.
Now we who believe into the Lord Jesus are the many grains, the duplication and reproduction of Christ as the first God-man. We are being ground into fine flour and blended together to become one loaf (1 Cor. 10:17), the Body of Christ.
Christ is the first grain who came and died to produce many grains, and we are His many “twins,” His many brothers (Rom. 8:29), to be blended into one loaf, one Body. Amazing!
This is the fulfilment of God’s dream. God dreamed to have a corporate expression and reproduction of Himself by means of the God-man kind.
Even though man fell and became mankind, God came in and became a man to produce the God-man kind.
God never created the mankind; He created man in His image and according to His likeness, but when man fell and partook of the wrong tree, man became fallen mankind.
We human beings are born part of the mankind, for all humanity is fallen, but we can be regenerated with God’s life to be part of the God-man kind.
This is God’s economy – God becoming man and man becoming God.
God’s economy is to make man the same as He is in life and nature but not in the Godhead and to make Himself one with man and man one with Him, thus to be enlarged and expanded in His expression, that all His divine attributes may be expressed in human virtues (Eph. 3:9; 1:10).
He is carrying out His economy today by regenerating us with His life and then taking us through a lifelong process of sanctification, renewing, transformation, conformation, and glorification (John 3:5-6; 1:12-13; Rom. 6:19, 22; 12:2; 8:29-30).
First, God Himself became a man in order to obtain a mass reproduction of Himself and thereby produce a new kind – God-man kind (John 1:1, 14; 12:24).
Then, for the fulfilment of His economy, God builds Himself in Christ into our life, our nature, and our constitution to make us God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead (Eph. 3:17; Col. 3:4, 10-11).
Now we are going through the process of God’s organic salvation to be regenerated, sanctified, renewed, transformed, conformed to His image, and glorified.
We are a new kind – we’re not just men, but God-men who are becoming God in life and nature but not in the Godhead to be part of God’s corporate expression on earth. Hallelujah!
Lord Jesus, thank You for unveiling us to see that God has a dream to obtain the God-man kind! Wow, the God who created the universe, the God who exists outside of time and space, He wants to be mingled with us and make us part of His corporate expression! Praise the Lord, God was incarnated to be the first God-man and, through death and resurrection, He was mass-produced to be the many God-men! Amen, Lord, may we see that we today are not only believers in Christ but also part of the God-man kind, the species of God! May we realise that we’re the many twins of Christ who are being made the same as He is in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in the Godhead! Praise the Lord, we are God-man kind to be part of God’s corporate expression on the earth today! Amen, Lord, we open to You! Make us the same as You are through regeneration, sanctification, renewing, transformation, conformation, and glorification! Amen, Lord, we are one with You for the carrying out of Your eternal economy!
As God-man Kind, we Live by the Divine Life to Live the Life of a God-man and Bring in a New Revival to End this Age
Knowing who we are and what we are impacts the way we live and how we behave.
For example, the son of the king in the United Kingdom cannot just do what he wants and whenever he wants; he might have done a lot of silly things when he was young, but when he realised what he is and who he is, he became different.
His life and living were according to the status he had, and many eyes are on him to watch his every move, for he represents the king. This example is imperfect, but it shows us how important it is for us to know who we are.
We believers in Christ are God-men, part of God-man kind. When we see that we are God-men, our whole living and behaviour will change.
As believers in Christ and children of God, we are not mankind – we are no longer part of the fallen mankind but we are God-man kind. Wow!
This is the highest point of God’s gospel. The gospel has many aspects, including forgiveness of sins, justification, reconciliation, salvation from eternal perdition, and God’s love and grace.
But the highest point of God’s gospel is that God became man to make man God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead, and by faith in Christ we become God-men.
This is not too much to say. We were fallen, yet Christ died for us, and if we believe into Christ and receive Him, we will have the eternal life to be sons of God (John 1:12-13; 3:6, 15-16).
Today all genuine Christians agree with this; they know that by faith in Christ we become children of God, sons of God.
However, they do not dare to admit that we are God-men, that we are becoming God. We do not proclaim this in an audacious or presumptuous way; we simply speak the highest peak of the divine revelation according to God’s word.
At the end of this age, when we have the highest revelation in the Bible opened to us, we need to teach and preach the truth that God became a man in order to make man God, the same as God in life and nature but not in the Godhead. This is what the Bible reveals to us, this is what we believe, and this is what we eagerly await.
When we see what we are, when we realise that we are God-men, part of God-man kind, our human living will be impacted.
We will live a different kind of life. We will no longer live like those around us, in the vanity of the mind (Eph. 4:17-18) but rather, we learn Christ as the reality is in Jesus (vv. 20-21).
We learn Christ by living Christ. On the negative side, we put off, as regards to our former manner of life, the old man, which is being corrupted according to the lusts of the deceit, and we are renewed in the spirit of our mind, and we put on the new man (vv. 22-24).
We learn to live by another life, the divine life in our spirit. We learn Christ as the reality is in Jesus, for we are God-man kind and we want to live the life of a God-man.
How should a God-man live? What is it for us to live the life of a God-man? We need to look at the pattern of the Lord Jesus and learn from Him.
He lived a human life not by His natural human life; even though He had a perfect humanity, He put Himself to death all the time and lived a crucified life, and He lived by the life of the Father.
He spoke the Father’s words, did the Father’s will, sought the Father’s glory, and lived one with the Father all the time.
He was in constant contact with the Father throughout His life. While He was speaking to others or doing this or that, He was always conversing with the Father.
On the one hand, He died physically on the cross at the end of His life on earth; on the other hand, He lived a crucified life throughout His days so that He may set up a pattern of a God-man life. Amazing!
Such a life seems to be impossible to live today; however, the One who lived such a life is now in us as the Spirit. He is working in the depths of our being to make His home in our heart and spread from our mingled spirit into our mind, emotion, and will.
He wants to express the divine attributes through our human virtues, and He does it as we live a crucified life to live by the divine life.
May we always remember and be reminded that we are God-men, part of God-man kind, and may we live the life of a God-man today by living by the divine life in our spirit.
On the negative side, we live a crucified life, and on the positive side, we live by the divine life in our mingled spirit so that Christ may be expressed through us and His divine attributes may become our human virtues.
This is what God wants to gain today, a group of God-men who live the life of a God-man to be the victors, the overcomers, the Zion within Jerusalem.
Such vision and such a living will bring in a new revival that has never been seen in history, and this will end this age. We want to live such a life by seeing such a vision and by allowing Christ to live in us.
Lord Jesus, You are the first God-man and we today are the many God-men following You! Amen, Lord, You lived a human life not by Your human life but by God’s divine life to express Him, and today we want to live the same way. May Your divine attributes become our human virtues. We want to live a crucified life today so that we may express You. May we die to live, taking You as our life in everything we do and say. Oh Lord, You are our life today. You are our person. You are just us, and we are simply You living again. May we allow You to operate in us to put to death the natural man, the flesh, the self, and the old man. May we be conformed to Your death and die. May we live a crucified life today so that we may live the life of a God-man. Amen, Lord Jesus, as God-man kind, we want to live not by our human life but by the divine life! May we live one with You by Your divine life and nature so that we may express You in Your divine attributes which become our human virtues! Amen, Lord, gain the living of a God-man life among us today so that we may have a new revival, the ultimate revival that will bring You back and end this age! Amen!
