What is is so good about the church life? What is it so good about brothers living together? It is the Triune God! Here we are fellow partakers, joint partakers, of the grace of life! We don’t insist on being right, but we obey the teaching of the anointing within (1 John 2:27) which teaches us to abide in Him! No matter what you say / what happens, the Triune God paints you with all the elements that are compounded in the Spirit! You may insist on something – as long as you’re in the church life, you are painted, and the ingredients of the processed and consummated Triune God are applied to you! God’s economical Spirit of power is for us to receive to preach the gospel (2011 WST)
Praise the Lord that when we feel weak or powerless, we can call on the Lord’s name and have this Spirit to strengthen our inner man so that we can preach the gospel! Without being in spirit, we cannot preach the gospel because we would be doing this in our self, not in the spirit. Thus, we need to call upon His name and have Him flow into us whenever we want to prophesy, preach the gospel, or to even talk! [sharing from the Winter School of Truth from a young brother]
Lord, cause the desire of Your heart to become the desire of my heart! Make me an overcomer!
We are not yet overcomers – Paul could say only at the end of his life that he is ready to receive the crown – but we can receive from the Lord an aspiration to be an overcomer, and we can pray for the Lord to produce us as overcomers! The overcomers are for the building up of the Body of Christ! They don’t overcome only in their personal life matters such as their temper, the besetting sin, etc – they meet the Lord’s need to be the ones who are willing to be produced by the Lord as the sevenfold intensified Spirit, who give themselves for the building up of the Body of Christ as the reality in the churches! This Winter School of Truth I was really impressed by the matter of the compound Spirit. Do you know that the Spirit is compound? All the aspects and matters in the Old Testament are types which find their reality in the New Testament. The ointment in Exo. 30:22-25 is a type of the Spirit. This holy anointing oil is composed of 5 ingredients: olive oil, flowing myrrh, sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus, and cassia. Christ is the reality of the law to infuse His living substance into His loving seekers!
In our experience whether the law as the living word of God is positive or negative depends on what the condition of our heart is when we receive the Word! If we are loving seekers of God loving Him, humbling ourselves before Him, and regarding the law as His living Word through which we can contact Him and abide in Him – then the law will become a channel through which we receive life and nourishment for our supply! If our heart is humble, open, unloaded, unveiled, and appreciative for the Lord we love, we are infused with God’s substance through the law as God’s word and we even become one with God in life, nature, and expression (Rom. 8:14; Phil. 1:21)! we need to be renewed in our mind to truly express Christ (2011 winter school of truth)
This winter school of truth I enjoyed the Organic Salvation of God, especially the matter of renewing. Being renewed requires us not to be fashioned according to this age, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind – see Rom. 12:2a. To be renewed in our mind is to get the old concepts of the world out of our mind and have our mind made new again by the teaching of the Word of God and the enlightening of the Holy Spirit. When we pray-read His words, day by day the Holy spirit will change us and guide us. Our view will be different and our whole being will be renewed. What does it mean that Christ is the cornerstone in God’s building? In the Psalms we see that Christ is the refuge rock, the blessed Rock, the protecting rock, the higher rock, the unique rock, the strengthening rock, the habitation rock, the unfailing rock, the salvation rock, and the trusting rock!
