The subject of John’s writings is the reality, the center, and the content of the entire universe, which is that the Triune God wants to dispense Himself into His chosen people as tehir life and life supply to make them all divine and express Him in full and for eternity, and today we need to see the Divine Trinity dispensing Himself into us in the divine move and in our experience.
Lord Jesus, we open to Your divine dispensing! Dispense Yourself into us as life and life supply. Amen, Lord, make us those who are open to Your divine dispensing so that we may receive and enjoy all that You are! Be our life and life supply. Supply us with all that You are. Make us divine even as You are. Make us Your corporate expression today and for eternity! May we be filled with all that You are to become Your full expression for eternity! Amen, Lord, we open to Your divine dispensing today! Amen!
This week in our prayerful consideration of the ministry of God’s word for the economy of God we come to the writings of John, and in particular we want to see the Triune God’s dispensing in the ministry of John.
We need to see the connection between the ministry of the Word and God’s dispensing, for the ministry of the Word is God’s dispensing for the fulfilment of God’s economy.
We may be familiar with the word dispensing, for we may use it again and again, but we may not be truly impressed with it, and this may not govern our daily living.
We need to realise that the Triune God is fully invested and concerned with the dispensing of His divine life into us, His chosen people. This is all He wants to do.
God is Triune for the purpose of dispensing. We see this in particular in the writings of John, where the dispensing of God into man is seen more than anywhere else.
God wants not only to reveal Himself to man but even more, to dispense Himself into man to the point that He remakes man and builds man into the New Jerusalem, His corporate expression.
May we come to the Lord in this matter and ask Him to keep us open to His divine dispensing.
As we read the Gospel of John and the epistles of John, we need to realise that God desires to dispense Himself into us.
It is by receiving, enjoying, and being continually under His divine dispensing that we can be produced as His overcomers.
Against the dark and chaotic background of the situation in the world and even in the church today, we need to be those who are under the dispensing of God. We need to find grace in the eyes of the Lord.
The Triune God wants to Dispense Himself into His Chosen People as their Life and Life Supply to make them all Divine to Express Him in Full and for Eternity
If we read the writings of John we realise not only that he wrote in a mysterious way concerning what God is and what He is doing, but even more, that He wants to dispense Himself into us.
We can even say that the subject of John’s writings is the reality, the centre, and the content of the entire universe. Wow!
The subject of John’s writings is that the Triune God wants to dispense Himself into His chosen people as their life and life supply to make them all divine to express Him in full and for eternity. Amen!
This should also be our reality, our center, and our content.
We need to be unveiled and impressed afresh to see this, even to have a life-changing experience in our dealing with the Lord so that He could get through in us for us to see something more concerning the divine dispensing.
God wants to dispense Himself into our being for the fulfilment of His purpose. The Triune God wants to dispense Himself into us, to impart all that He is into our being.
Have we seen this? Did this affect our living? Do we daily learn to open to the Lord and pray for His divine dispensing? Or do we just think we understand this and then go back to the way things were before?
May we all deal with the Lord, open to Him, so that He may have more ground in our being for us to enter into His divine dispensing in a full and complete way, so that eventually we may enjoy Him as our life and life supply and are made divine to express Him.
He wants to be expressed through us. John’s writings are about the divine dispensing.
The apostle John was one of the Lord’s early disciples, and he was quite impetuous and selfish when he was with the Lord in His earthly ministry, but then later he was not only dealt with by the Lord but even more, he had a mending ministry.
The fabric of the church life and the Lord’s move were broken and torn down, for many heresies and deceiving people came in, and there was dissension, sin, corruption, and division among the saints.
So John came in to mend what has been broken and build it further.
The way he did this is was speaking of the divine dispensing and cooperating with the Lord to dispense the processed Triune God into the believers in Christ. God went through a process so that He may be able to dispense Himself into us, the believers in Christ.
We need to hear this again and again. We need to be in this again and again. We need to open to the Lord again and again so that we may receive His divine dispensing and be filled with all that He is.
The Lord wants to take us to new heights. Especially as we consider the chaos in the world situation and the degradation of the church, we need to open to the Lord’s divine dispensing so that the Lord may work Himself into us and dispense all that He is into our being.
It is by means of His divine dispensing that we can overcome the satanic chaos around us and be produced to be His overcomers.
John’s writings unveil the Divine Trinity dispensing Himself into us in the divine move and in our experience to obtain a corporate expression of Himself.
God is Triune for this very purpose, to dispense Himself into us for the carrying out of His economy to obtain His Body, the corporate expression of Himself in full.
When we open to the Lord and enjoy His divine dispensing, He adds what He is into our being, He saturates our mind, emotion, and will, and He transforms us, conforms us to His image, and saturates us to make us divine to express Him in full and for eternity.
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see the Triune God dispensing Himself into us for the producing and building up of God’s corporate expression! Amen, Lord, may we see that the Triune God wants to dispense Himself into us, His chosen people, to be our life and life supply. We open to You, dear Lord. We open to Your divine dispensing. We want to take You as our life and life supply. Fill us with Yourself. Fill us to overflowing. Saturate our inner being with Yourself. Be our reality and our center. Be our content. Keep our being open to You today. Oh Lord Jesus, unveil us to see the Divine Trinity dispensing Himself into us in the divine move and in our experience. May we keep our being open to You today so that You may dispense Yourself into us. Amen, Lord, we focus not on the satanic chaos around us or on our failures: we focus on You and we open to Your divine dispensing today! Make us divine to express You in full and for eternity! Be our center, our reality, and our content for us to be Your expression in full!
The Divine Trinity dispenses Himself into us as the Father (the object), the Son (the embodiment), and the Spirit (the realisation) to Manifest Himself to us Freshly
In John’s writings, we see an unveiling of the Divine Trinity dispensing Himself into us in the divine move and also in our experience. The Gospel of John describes us the biography of the Divine Trinity.
This phrase, the Divine Trinity, cannot be seen in the writings of John, but what we see is how God dispenses Himself in His Divine Trinity into our being as the Father, the Son and the Spirit.
John 14:6 tells us that Christ is the way and the reality and the life, for no one can come to the Father except through Him. If we’re going to reach the Father as the object, we must reach Him through the Son, who is the way.
The Father is the object, the Son is the way as the embodiment of the Father, and the Spirit is the realisation.
Verses 7 through 14 in John 14 show the Father embodied in the Son seen among the believers – the Son being the Father’s embodiment among the believers.
In these verses what we see is that Christ the Son is in the Father and that the Father is in Him, that the Son and the Father are one, and that they mutually indwell one another. So wonderful!
Verses 15 through 20 go on to show us the Son realised as the Spirit abiding in the believers – the Spirit being the realisation of the Son abiding in the believers.
In other words, the Father is the object, the Son is the embodiment and the way to the Father, and the Spirit is the realisation of the Triune God.
The entire Triune God – the Father, the Son, and the Spirit – are in us, the container (2 Cor. 4:7). The object, the embodiment, and the realisation of the Triune God – the Divine Trinity – are the excellent treasure in us, the earthen vessels.
We are earthen vessels, but the Divine Trinity dispenses Himself as the Father (the object), the Son (the embodiment and the way) and the Spirit (the realisation) to become our indwelling treasure.
John 14:21 and 23 show the Son manifesting Himself to His lover and the Father coming with Him to make an abode with the Son’s lover. To manifest is to clearly make apparent to the sight.
If we keep the Lord’s word and love Him, the Father will love Him, and the Father and the Son will come to him to make an abode with him.
If we love the Lord and keep His word, we will have the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity for our enjoyment. The evidence of our loving the Lord is that we keep His word, and when we keep His word, He manifests Himself to us.
This is the Divine Trinity revealed in our experience and in the divine move.
The Lord’s last conversation with His disciples while He was on the earth was here in John 14-16, and in this conversation we see that we as believers in Christ should take the Father as our object – we should seek after the Father.
How do we reach the Father? It is through the Son, who is the way. The Father is in the Son and the Son is in the Father; They mutually indwell one another and are one.
The Father dwells in the Son and the Son dwells in the Father, and when the Son comes to us, He comes as the Spirit, for the Spirit is the realisation of the Son.
The Son realised as the Spirit comes to abide with us and be in us; the Father is embodied in the Son and the Son is realised as the Spirit to indwell us.
The Father is the object, and He is in us, for the Father is embodied in the Son; the Son as the embodiment and the way is in us, and the Son is realised as the Spirit who indwells us.
We have the Spirit, so we have the Son and we also have the Father, for the Father is in the Son.
Many people today think that God is mysterious, authoritative, and dignified, so great that He can only be worshipped; this is not a bad concept, but it is not enough to know this.
What God wants is not to have a relationship in which we serve Him and worship Him, while He’s a distant God in heaven. He wants a deeper, more profound relationship with us, even a subjective relationship.
So He became the embodiment of God, the Word becoming flesh. He speaks Himself forth to be with us, to be among us, and to be in us; He wants to be in us.
When we contact this God, we’re inwardly filled with light. When He speaks Himself into us, He enlightens us and He makes us living. He gives us life and He makes us living and shining.
He is begotten in us as life, and He shines in us as light. When the Lord shines on us and in us, we have an abundance of rich, keen, and fine feelings.
The absence of spiritual feelings should actually be a warning to us, for this means we are in darkness.
When we have the divine life filling us as a result of being under the divine dispensing, we are filled with inner feelings.
We have a sense of thirst and hunger; we do not have any good feelings about what we are in ourselves but rather we feel we’re unacceptable, our words are inaccurate, our attitude is improper, and our thoughts are unholy.
We are exposed that our love is impure, our motives are not clean, and we’re full of mixture in spiritual matters. So we open to the divine dispensing and allow the Lord as light, to shine in us and fill us with His life and light.
He then manifests Himself to us, and we love His fresh appearing, His manifestation.
The Father as the object is in Jesus as the embodiment; this embodiment is in the Spirit as His realisation, and this realisation is the very Spirit who is now abiding in all of us.
But we need to ask ourselves whether or not we enjoy the manifestation of the Lord Jesus to us daily and even hourly.
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the way and the reality and the life for us to come into God the Father! Hallelujah, the Divine Trinity is dispensing Himself into us in the divine move and in our experience! We open to You, dear Lord! We open to Your divine dispensing. We love You and we abide in Your word. Come in and make an abode with us. Hallelujah, the Father is embodied in the Son and the Son is realised as the Spirit to be joined to us as one spirit! Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to touch You! Hallelujah, we have a treasure in our earthen vessel – the Triune God dispensed into us to be our priceless treasure! We love You, Lord! We want to have Your fresh appearing! Shine on us. Fill us with Your life. Dispense more of Yourself into us. Manifest Yourself to us and keep us in Your fresh appearing day by day, even moment by moment! Keep us open to Your divine dispensing today! We are Your loving seekers and we want to know You, love You, and be filled with You! Amen!
