Christ as life is the reality of the tree of life, which is the centre of the universe; life is the goal of God’s creation and of God’s complete salvation, for both the purpose and goal and centre of God’s creation and His salvation are life, leading to life and focused on life.
Hallelujah for Christ as life! Praise the Lord, Christ is not only life but He is also our life! Amen, Lord, we open to You today to enjoy and partake of You as life. We want to enjoy the riches of Your life. May we see that You are the reality of the tree of life and may we focus only on life today! Grow in us as life. May we pay attention to life more than to anything else. Keep us in fellowship with You, the fellowship of life! Amen!
This week in our prayerful consideration of the book of Revelation to see the wonderful Christ we can experience, enjoy, and express in this book, we come to the matter of, The Tree of Life.
Our unique focus is Christ, and apart from Him, we want to see or know nothing else, for He is the centre and the circumference.
He is the faithful Witness of God, the One who has the keys of death and of Hades, the Son of Man walking in the midst of the golden lampstands, and the Lion-Lamb.
He is both the Lion and the Lamb, and at the same time He is the stone; as the Lamb and the stone, He has seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
He looks at us with His seven eyes, He infuses us with Himself, and He judges by burning anything that is not of Himself in our being. How we love the Lord Jesus Christ!
Even though in the book of Revelation we see many prophecies, events, and things that are related to the end of this age, our focus is Christ, for this is the revelation of Jesus Christ.
In particular, we want to see Christ as the tree of life. Again and again, we come back to the matter of the tree of life, for Christ is life to us.
From the beginning to the end of the Bible, we see the tree of life. In Genesis in the first few chapters we see the tree of life, and in Revelation we see the tree of life.
We believers in Christ have a choice today: the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
We do most things in our daily life in the tree of knowledge, for we accumulate knowledge, we apply knowledge, and we choose the right and reject the wrong.
But the Lord wants us to come back to the tree of life and enjoy Christ as life and partake of His riches in spirit, even to live because of Him.
As we eat Christ as the tree of life, we will live Him, and we will not partake of the tree of death, the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
See that the Goal of God’s Creation and the Goal of His Complete Salvation is Life

It is amazing to see that the goal of God’s creation in the Old Testament and the goal of God’s redemption in the New Testament is the same: life. The goal is life.
Life is the goal of God’s creation (Gen. 1:26-28, 31; 2:7-9) and the goal of God’s complete salvation (John 19:34; Rom. 5:10; Rev. 22:1-2, 14, 19).
The centre of the universe is the tree of life, and the goal of God’s creation is life.
In the Old Testament we see God’s creation, and in the New Testament, we have God’s redemption; in both God’s creation and His redemptio, God’s purpose and centre is life.
In the first two chapters of Genesis we see how God created all things; as we read and pray over these two chapters, we see that the goal of God’s creation is not just to create all things but the goal is life.
God’s creation involves life and produces life, for life is the centre and goal of God’s creation.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth; He created all things out of nothing.
He had an orderly process of creating all things. First, God created inanimate objects, and then He created organic things.
And when He created living things, He started at the lowest level of life and advanced step by step to higher levels of life.
On the sixth day, God created the highest level of life, which is man; man is the highest life in God’s creation because God created man in His own image and according to His own likeness (Gen. 1:26-27).
And God gave this created man in His image the authority to have dominion over all things (vv. 26, 28).
Among all created things and beings, man is like God because he has God’s image, and he represents God because he has God’s authority. Amazing!
When God saw everything He had made, from the inanimate things to all the organic things and to man, He saw it was very good (v. 31).
He considered it very good because in this vast universe, among the myriads of created things, God has obtained a man with His image and authority who can express His glory and represent His authority.
This made God happy, and God was satisfied and refreshed; therefore, He rested on the seventh day, after He finished His work of creation (2:2).
Many think that God rested because everything was finished; however, after this, we see that God continued to do things, including one of the most important things: He put man in front of the tree of life (v. 9).
First, God planted a garden called Eden, and in the centre of the garden, there was the tree of life (vv. 8-9).
He then told man to eat of all the trees of the garden, including the tree of life, but not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
God’s goal in His creation is life; He wanted to create life, even the highest life in His image and according to His likeness, and this highest created life was still not the goal.
He wanted man to partake of God as life, for God in Christ is the tree of life for man to partake of and live by.
God brought the man He had created to the tree of life and put him there; He wanted man to partake of God and life.
If man doesn’t partake of the tree of life and the divine life doesn’t come into man, God’s purpose is not fulfilled.
But if man takes of the tree of life and therefore receives God as life, God’s goal in creation is fulfilled. Praise the Lord!
When man partakes of God as life, the divine life comes into man, and he can live one with God, even because of the life of God. God’s goal is life; the entire Bible shows us the goal of life.
In the New Testament, in God’s redemption and salvation, the goal is life.
Christ came to die for us not only so that we may be rescued from eternal perdition but even more, so that we may have eternal life (John 3:16).
Christ is our life (Col. 3:4), for He came to save us and be our life.
On the one hand, Christ came as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world, dying on the cross for our redemption.
On the other hand, He came to be life to us; He came so that we may have life and may have it abundantly (John 10:10).
He is the bread of life, the water of life, and the breath of life. He Himself is life, and in Him was life; He is the way and the reality and the life (14:6).
Today we need to come to the Lord and enjoy Him as life, partaking of Christ as the tree of life, so that we may live because of Him (John 6:57) and express Him.
And for eternity, we will enjoy Him as the river of water of life flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, and the tree of life is growing and producing fruit every month (Rev. 22:1-2).
Our destiny is to enjoy God in Christ as the tree of life for eternity. We are connected to God in life and we’re one in His life.
Now the divine life which is in God is also in us, and we enjoy this life, live by this life, express this life, and flow out this life.
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see that the goal of God’s creation and of His salvation is life. Wow, God not only created all things but even more, He created man in His image and according to His likeness and put man in front of the tree of life! Oh Lord, we want to see You as the tree of life. We don’t want to only mentally understand that You are life but actually receive an inward revelation concerning the tree of life. May we see that life is the goal of God’s creation and of God’s redemption! Hallelujah, Christ redeemed us and saved us so that we may have God’s life and may have it abundantly! Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit today and we come to You as life. We take You as our life. Grow in us as life. May Your life spread in our being to saturate our whole being. May we pay attention to life in all things, and may we allow Your life to be expressed through us! We want to eat Christ as the tree of life so that Christ may live in us and be expressed through us!
God wants Man to Receive Him as Life to be Man’s Life and the Constituent of Man’s Being

May we see a vision of Christ as the tree of life. May we see a revelation of what God desires to gain today so that we may not miss the mark in our Christian life and church life.
In the Bible the tree of life always signifies Christ as the embodiment of the riches of God for our food (Col. 2:9; Gen. 2:9; John 1:4; 10:10; 14:6; 15:1; 6:35, 57, 63; 1 Cor. 15:45).
Both in His creation and in His salvation, the goal is life; God presents Himself to man as the tree of life to be man’s life and everything.
The fact that God placed man in front of the tree of life indicates that God wanted man to receive Him as man’s life by eating Him organically and by assimilating Him metabolically so that God might become the very constituent of man’s being.
God doesn’t want merely that man would be alive and enjoy his life as he lives on earth; God wants us to open to Him, come to Him, and receive Him as the tree of life so that God would become our very constituent.
In His creation, God placed man in a garden, which He Himself had planted; this shows that God wants man to be happy, even to be man’s satisfaction.
Then, God put man in front of the tree of life; besides all the trees that are pleasant to the sight and good for food, there was the tree of life and also the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
He wants man to partake of God as life, which will make God happy, and not partake of the tree of knowledge, which leads to death.
When we exercise our spirit and partake of Christ as the tree of life, eating Him as the tree of life, we will be satisfied and filled, and God will be happy and satisfied.
Sadly, however, man did not partake of God’s life in the form of the tree of life in Genesis, but rather rebelled against God, being instigated by Satan, the enemy of God.
But praise the Lord, Christ came as the redeeming Lamb of God, and He again brought man into the position where man can partake of God as life.
Today we believers in Christ are again before the tree of life, which is in our spirit; also, we have the tree of knowledge present with us. We have a choice today.
Christ went through a process in order to become edible and enjoyable by man; He wants to come into us as life to constitute us organically.
When we exercise our spirit and contact the Lord by calling on His name and praying over His word, we receive God in Christ as the tree of life.
When we eat Christ organically, we assimilate Him metabolically, and God in Christ as life becomes the very constituent of our being.
The life that is in God can also be in us, for Christ came to give us life, be our life, and make our entire inner being life.
He is now the life-giving Spirit; He is not just a Spirit but the life-giving Spirit. This means that His full-time job is to impart life to us, whenever we come to Him.
As long as we just open to Him and call on His name, life is dispensed into our being. As long as we exercise our spirit and contact the Lord, we receive and enjoy more of His life.
Throughout the day, we can touch the Lord in our spirit, simply by opening to Him, praying short prayers to Him, and saying Amen to His inner speaking.
Most times His answer to us is No, don’t do that, or No, don’t say that; if we listen to His inner speaking, His life will spread in our being, and we will assimilate Him metabolically to be constituted with His very element in our inward being.
This is a lifelong process of growth in life unto maturity until He fully saturates and permeates our inner being with His life to be expressed through us and flow through us as life.
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see that Christ is the tree of life in our spirit. Strengthen us into our inner man to choose life. Amen, Lord, we choose the tree of life. We choose to partake of You as life. We exercise our spirit to contact You and partake of You as life. Thank You for having the desire to be received and enjoyed by man as life. Hallelujah, God wants us to eat Christ as the tree of life so that He may get into us and constitute us with Himself. Amen, Lord, we open to You today. Keep us coming to You throughout the day in many ways and through many intimate conversations with You. We want to receive You as our life by eating You organically and by assimilating You metabolically. Amen, Lord, may God become the very constituent of our inner being. Fill us with Yourself as life. Constitute us with Yourself as life. Amen, Lord Jesus, teach us and perfect us to take You as our life today. Save us from being on the tree of knowledge of good and evil!

God’s goal and purpose both in His creation in the Old Testament and in His redemption and salvation in the New Testament is life.
He created all things, including man, so that He may come into man as life.
Today Christ is our life and we need to take Him as the tree of life in all things of our daily life so that we may live because of Him.
Aaameeen! As believers in Christ, just as life is in God, life is also in us!
Yes, life is the main center of the universe. We are created for the purpose of reaching the highest level of life by eating the tree of life.
Salvation is not the main purpose of God, but it is the way for the accomplishment of His dispensing into us.
In the Bible starting from Genesis to Revelation the main subject matter is life.
This life started in each of us at the time of our regeneration and kept growing to the level of full spiritual maturity. Our line of choice is, therefore, life.
Praise the Lord for the tree of life, Jesus Christ.
It’s a great blessing to see that God’s purpose & final goal are simply life. God’s creation involves life and produces life.
However, it’s an even greater blessing to see that even after creating man, God had not yet reached His goal, for life is the goal & purpose of His creation.
Christ came to enter us and save us, and to be our life. He came for the express purpose of giving us life.
Even in eternity everything will be related to life, and we believers are one only in Christ’s life.
Yes, life is the goal. Let’s pursue life, Christ Himself.
Amen, Life is the goal of God’s creation.
Among all created things man is like God in His image and represents Gods authority. This satisfies Him, but His goal is to go further and impart life into us.
He placed us in front of the tree of life which is at the centre.
We now have Christ as our life to lead us into eternity, we just need to partake of Him and take Him as our life today
Amen, brother! We need to be governed by the vision that life is the centre and goal of God’s creation.
This is why God created man in His image and gave him dominion and authority to represent Him.
This life is nothing short of Christ as the representation of the Tree of Life placed in the centre of Eden with the desire that man would partake of life to receive Him as man’s life by eating Him organically and by assimilating Him metabolically, that God might become the very constituent of man’s being.
Today, may we eat Christ, choose Christ, focus on Christ according to God’s desire, and not be distracted by another tree!

Dear brother, The tree of life is very special. The first time life is spoken of in the Bible is in relation to the tree of life. This shows that God was still not satisfied, because He had not yet reached His goal, even though He had created everything and even though man had been prepared to express and represent God. What is God’s goal? God’s goal is life. Hallelujah!
The purpose and goal of both the creation in the OT and the redemption in the NT is LIFE! God’s creation with its process and order, involves with life and produces life, hence life is the center and goal of creation as seen in the creation of man placed before the tree of life. The same is true with redemption. Redemption is not goal but a procedure. The purpose and goal of redemption is also life.
The book of Revelation shows that in eternity we will contact and enjoy the water of life and the tree of life.
So the bible, from Genesis to Revelation, shows that there’s goal is life. As believers we have Christ as our life. This is how we’re connected and related to God. Life is in God and also in us. We are one with God in life. Hallelujah!!!
amen! Lord we take You as the tree of life, for our constitution so we may express You. Thank You for coming so we may have life and have it abundantly.
