The atmosphere in the homes is very cherishing and not religious at all. Most of all I enjoyed that this is not “the time for professionals showing of their eloquence or good Bible knowledge”. On the contrary, it is a sweet and intimate time for the family to come together to enjoy the sweetest Person in the universe together! It is indeed the real family life and actually the highest life because we all share God’s life. My desire is that this fresh taste I got this autumn I hope will continue after my time in the training so that this becomes a practical part of my daily living. Paul’s gospel is the complete gospel, including all the aspects of the four gospels
Praise the Lord, the gospel is not about an outward historical Christ but it concerns the Triune God being processed and consummated through Christ’s incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, to become the life-giving, all-inclusive, compounded, indwelling Spirit who mingles Himself with our spirit to accomplish in us God’s purpose in creating man. This is what Paul’s gospel reveals, and his Epistles form the heart of the divine revelation in the New Testament, the center of the New Testament. man cannot be justified out of works of law but out of faith in Christ, in the organic union!
It is so easy to have a low appreciation and view of the truth of the gospel in its basic principle of the justification by faith. We are fallen in our concept, our way of thinking, even in this respect. We need to have an uplifted view of justification by faith – to be justified by faith in Christ, we need to believe into the Lord Jesus out of an appreciation of His preciousness! The speaking of the gospel brings us into a sweet appreciation of the Lord, and we believe into Him! When we call on His name, we are regenerated and we are organically one with Him! About the new year, 2012… Lord, make me that someone who rises up and allows You to use me as a stepping stone for Your move! O, Lord, I am willing – use me! Do NOT pass me by! I don’t want to miss this opportunity! Lord, I want to count the cost and allow You to deal and break through anything that still resists You in me. Lord, what is holding me back? Our daily and continual constitution with the truth and learning the truth by reading the Bible, enjoying the footnotes, reading the life-studies and the ministry books, etc will put a rich deposit of the divine truths into our being. Then, when we open our mouth to speak, we will tell others concerning the Triune God – the Father, the Son, and the Spirit – who is dispensing Himself into us – sinful, tripartite men – so that our sins may be forgiven and that we may receive God’s life and become sons of God who are being transformed to be the same as Christ is! Our Christian life is a life of romance with the Lord. I am a country girl, we are all the country girls, yet in time He came to us as a Country Man to court us and gain us to be His bride. How lovely He is! I love Him as such a divine-human being. Our Triune God is a lovely One, He knows exactly how to attract us, to deal with us, and to gain us. being willing to lose our soulish enjoyment for the building up of the church
Just as the disciples had a foretaste of the Lord’s resurrection by seeing His transfiguration on the mountain (see Matt. 16:28 and Matt. 17), so today the Lord comes to us when we lose our soul life to give us the real enjoyment! If we lose our soul life for the Lord’s sake in this age, we will receive the reward of the real enjoyment of the Lord in our soul when He comes to us again and again! If we don’t lose our soul life in this age but seek to have it, we are double losers – the enjoyment we have in this age in our soul is NOT REAL, and at the Lord’s return we will really lose our soul life. But if we lose our soul life in this age, we are double winners – we have the REAL enjoyment of Christ in our soul in this age and when He returns, we will gain our soul! [continue reading online]
