We believers in Christ love the name of Jesus: we pray in the name of Jesus, we’re gathered in the name of Jesus, we speak boldly in the name of Jesus, we suffer for the name of Jesus, and we do not deny the name of Jesus but rather, stand against Satan, who hates the name of Jesus, and we call on the name of Jesus!
Amen, Lord Jesus, we love You! We love to call on Your name. Your name is above every name. Your name is so precious! Oh Lord, we pray in Your name; we are one with You, Lord, as we call on Your name. Gather us into Your name when we come together with the saints! May we never be ashamed of the name of Jesus! Amen, Lord Jesus, we love You!
All the genuine seekers of God call on the name of the Lord; in the Old Testament, Enosh started calling on the name of Jehovah, and then Job, Abraham, Isaac, Moses, and the children of Israel, all called on the name of Jehovah.
Then we see Samson, Samuel, David, and so many of the psalmists and the prophets; all the loving seekers of God called on His name.
The people of God called on the name of Jehovah to such an extent that even the Gentiles knew that the prophets of Israel had this habit of calling on the name of God.
In the New Testament, we also see the early believers calling on the name of the Lord Jesus; they called so much that Saul, when he was persecuting the church, took their calling as a sign to find where the Christians were.
In those early days, the disciples of Jesus were risking their life when they called on the name of Jesus, yet they called and called and called.
The joyful way for us to drink from the fountain of God’s salvation is calling on the name of the Lord Jesus. It is God’s commandment and it is His desire that His people call on Him, for when they call, they enjoy all the riches of what God is.
If today we call on the name of a renowned person from the past, no matter how important that person was, he or she is now dead, and there’s nothing that happens when we call.
But when we call on the name of Jesus, we are saved, we enjoy the riches of what God is, and we drink of the fountain of God’s salvation.
May we all take this enjoyable way to delight ourselves in God, that is, to enjoy Him, by calling on the name of the Lord. May we call on Him daily, even moment by moment.
Others around us should know we are the callers, those who call on the name of Jesus to such an extent that we are Christians, those of Christ.
This is not something outward as a practice; this is our daily living, a living of calling on the name of Jesus!
We Pray in the Name of Jesus and We’re Gathered in the Name of Jesus

The name of Jesus is for us to pray in (John 14:13-14; 15:16; 16:24). The Lord Jesus told us that, when we pray to the Father, whatever we ask in His name, the Father will do it, for the Father will be glorified.
This doesn’t mean that we pray for something that we want or need, and then add “in the name of Jesus I pray.”
Many of us have done this, and we don’t oppose such an expression, but this is not what praying in the name of Jesus means.
To pray in the name of Jesus doens’t mean that we pray a long prayer, and at the conclusion we say, “in the name of Jesus.”
We don’t oppose this, but it is much better to simply call on the name of the Lord Jesus! The way for us to pray in the name of Jesus is to call on the name of Jesus.
To pray in the name of Jesus is to be one with Jesus, even to pray as Jesus would pray; this requires that we exercise our spirit and call on the name of Jesus!
When we call on the name of the Lord, we will have a real burden to pray, and the prayers we utter will be what the Lord desires to pray; then, we will have the assurance that the Father will be glorified in the Son, and He will fulfil what we pray.
May we be those who call on the name of Jesus to be one with Jesus and pray in the name of Jesus!
After the Lord told us to pray in His name, he said that the Spirit will come to dwell in us (John 14:13-17); when we call on the name of Jesus and pray in His name, we are filled with the indwelling Spirit.
To pray in the name of Jesus, we need the Spirit. When we’re in the Spirit, we are in the reality of the name of Jesus, and we pray in the name of Jesus.
No one can say, Jesus is Lord, except in the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:3); when we call on the name of Jesus, we’re in the Spirit, and we pray in the name of Jesus, one with Jesus.
May this be our practice and our reality today! The name of Jesus is also for us to be gathered into (Matt. 18:20).
The Lord Jesus said that, whenever two or three are gathered into His name, He is there among them, in their midst. This is His promise.
This is why we love to come together as believers in Christ; we come together, we exercise our spirit to call on His name, and the Lord is there with us.
He is with us whenever we meet. We can all testify that this is our experience in our Christian life and church life; we come to the meetings of the church, and we sense the presence of the Lord Jesus, for we’re gathered into His name.
When we believed into the Lord Jesus and were baptised, we were put into the name of Jesus, but we’re not that deep into Him.
So we need to come back again and again to be gathered into His name. We need to be gathered into the name of Jesus again and again.
We are so much in ourselves, in our own things, in our own thoughts, and in what we are busy with; when we come together and exercise our spirit to call on the name of the Lord, we’re gathered into the name of Jesus and we have His presence.
This is our experience so many times when we come to the meetings of the church.
When we come together in Christian gatherings, we are brought into a deeper appreciation of the name of Jesus, for we are gathered into His name, we call on His name, and we have His sweet presence among us.
May we never stop praying in the name of Jesus and may we never leave our assembly together but rather, be gathered into the name of Jesus!
Lord Jesus, we love to call on Your name! Oh Lord Jesus! We want to pray in Your name by being one with You. May we be those who ask the Father in the name of the Son so that, whatever we ask, the Father would do it, for the Father is glorified! Amen, Lord Jesus, we call on Your name and we want to be one with You. May our prayer and our asking be in the name of Jesus! Oh Lord Jesus, we come to You as we are. We come to be one with You. We come to pray one with You! We come to ask in Your name. May our asking be Your asking. May our prayer be Your prayer. Make us fully one with You in our prayer! We want to be in Spirit as we pray so that we may pray in the name of Jesus! Amen, Lord, gather us with the saints into Your name! May we call on Your name when we come together. May we be gathered out of anything else into Your lovely and precious name in the meetings of the church! Hallelujah, when we come together with the saints we can enter further into the Lord by calling on the name of Jesus to be gathered into His name! Praise the Lord Jesus!
We love the Name of Jesus, we Speak Boldly in the Name of Jesus, and we Stand against Satan, who Hates the Name of Jesus

In Acts 16:18 we see that the name of Jesus is for us to cast out demons; when we call on the name of Jesus, even the demons will flee.
This has been our experience in the church life; sometimes there are some demons present, and when the name of Jesus is on our lips, being called upon by the saints, the demons have to flee! Amen!
In Acts 9:27 we see that the name of Jesus is for us to speak boldly in. We speak boldly in the name of Jesus.
Because we love the name of Jesus, we love to be in His name, we love to call on His name, we also speak boldly in the name of Jesus.
As Colossians 3:17 says, whatever we do in word or in deed, we need to do all things in the name of Jesus.
Our whole Christian life is wrapped up with Jesus; we call on His name, we love His name, we do all things in His name, we pray in His name, and we speak boldly in His name.
How we thank the Lord for the sweet, rich, powerful, saving, healing, comforting, and available name of Jesus!
When we speak boldly in the name of Jesus, we exercise our spirit to be in the Spirit, for the Spirit makes this name real to others.
Speaking in the Lord’s name must be done in the Spirit, for the Spirit is the person of the Lord and the reality of His name. Amen, may this be our reality and experience in our daily Christian life and church life!
Many times, however, we have a different kind of experience; we are eager and willing to speak about many things, such as politics, science, and feelings, but when it comes to speaking of Jesus, we feel a little ashamed.
We have a strange feeling in us whenever we come to the topic of Jesus, and we may not be that eager to speak in the name of Jesus. Oh Lord Jesus!
We should speak boldly in the name of Jesus, but inwardly our feelings are different. This is because Satan hates the name of Jesus.
We love the name of Jesus but Satan hates this name, and he is in our flesh, giving us an awkward feeling whenever the name of Jesus is spoken of.
Satan even utilises people to attack the name of Jesus (Acts 26:9). The religionists attack the name of Jesus, forbidding the believers to preach or teach in that name (Acts 4:17-18; 5:40).
Wow, some may practice Christian religion according to the Bible, but they may forbid others to speak in the name of Jesus or call on the name of Jesus! Wow!
But when the apostles were persecuted for the name of Jesus, they were not ashamed or sad but rather, they rejoiced that they were counted worthy to be dishonored on behalf of the name of Jesus (v. 41; 15:26).
May we be such ones today; may we be those who stand against Satan, who hates the name of Jesus, and speak boldly in the name of Jesus.
When we speak to others, may we not be ashamed of the name of Jesus. We may talk to them about sports, philosophy, life in general, or news, but when we come to Jesus, may we stand against Satan and simply love the name of Jesus, speaking boldly in His name.
May we inwardly have the attitude of standing against Satan and telling him that we belong to the Lord, we love the Lord, and we love the name of Jesus!
May we be the overcoming ones today who love the name of Jesus and speak boldly in the name of Jesus.
The Lord Jesus praised the overcomers in the church in Philadelphia because they did not deny His name (Rev. 3:8).
They had little power, but they kept the Lord’s word and did not deny His name.
As saints in the recovered church, may we abandon all other names and keep only the name of Jesus. May we not denominate ourselves by any other name but the name of Jesus.
May we realise we belong to the Lord absolutely, and may we stand in the Lord’s name.
To denominate the church by taking any other name than the Lord’s is spiritual fornication.
The church is a pure virgin betrothed to Christ (2 Cor. 11:2), and the church should have no other name but her Husband’s – Jesus!
We are Mrs Christ, and we call on His name, treasure His name, love His name, and speak boldly in His name.
We have no other name to be saved into but the name of Jesus.
We exalt no other name but the name of Jesus.
We stand against Satan and his hatred of the name of Jesus, and we call on the name of Jesus, for He is our everything, and we love to call on His name.
Lord Jesus, we exercise our spirit to call on Your name. We want to be one with You as we turn to You and do all things in Spirit. Amen, Lord, may we do all things in the name of Jesus! May we pray in the name of Jesus. May we speak in the name of Jesus! Be our boldness today, Lord, as we speak to others so that we may speak boldly in the name of Jesus! Amen, Lord, we stand against Satan and we declare that we belong to Jesus! We are one with Jesus, and we are against Satan and his hatred for Jesus! Oh Lord Jesus, though the demons hate Your name, we love Your name and we stand one with You! Amen, Lord, we stand in Your name, we speak in Your name, and we treasure Your name! We do not deny Your name; rather, we call on Your name and we hold Your name dear to us! Oh Lord Jesus, our dear Bridegroom, we long for Your coming so that we may marry You and be fully one with You! Hallelujah for the name of Jesus! Amen, Lord, keep us in Your name today!
