The True God and Eternal Life include our being in the True One and in Jesus Christ

December 26, 2025 by aGodMan 7 Comments

This is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20

1 John 5:20 concludes with, This is the true God and eternal life; we need to have a clear vision of what “this” in this verse means, so that we may realise that the true One becomes the true God in our experience, and Jesus Christ becomes eternal life, and “this” includes both the true […]

Being in the Triune God and having Christ Living in us to be Perfected into one

August 7, 2021 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected into one, that the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me. John 17:23

As we are sanctified through the truth, we move out of ourselves and into the Triune God, Christ lives in us, and we are perfected into one to be in the enlarged oneness of the Triune God. There is so much division both in the world and in Christianity today, and the main reason is […]

Being those who Know our God and who Show Strength and Take Action (Dan. 11:32)

September 3, 2016 by aGodMan 2 Comments

Knowing God can strengthen us. Many times we are weak because we do not know God. Our strength depends on the degree of our knowledge of God. Only those who know God will show strength and take action [Dan. 11:32]. To take action means “to expand.” Those who know God will be strong to expand their horizons and extend their boundaries and break new ground for God. On the earth today God needs those who would know Him in this way. W. Lee, Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures

Our desire as human beings created in God’s image is to know God – we yearn not just to know about God but to know Him personally, intimately, by being in Him and by being one with Him. We are created in God’s image and according to His likeness, and nothing on earth satisfies us […]

When we Pray we need to be in God, have God in us, and Offer Christ as Incense to God

February 11, 2016 by aGodMan 1 Comment

The Lord Jesus in His heavenly ministry is interceding for us; He is at the golden incense altar offering prayers and intercessions for God’s interest, His administration, His people, and everything that is in God’s heart. Actually, Christ Himself is the reality of the incense altar: He is the One who constantly prays, constantly intercedes, […]

the God who has become experiential to us through our being in Him is the true God and eternal life

The last part of 1 John 5:20 is very mysterious and yet very packed with meaning. John says, “This is the true God and eternal life”. What does “THIS” refer to? Why didn’t John just say, “He is the true God and eternal life”?
