Stay away from Wandering Stars & Be with the Living Stars in the Church Life Today

But flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Tim. 2:22

As believers in Christ, we need to find Christ by the living star and be together with the shining saints in the local churches so that we may be led to where the Lord Jesus is, and we also need to stay away from those who are wandering stars, for they lead many astray.

Oh Lord Jesus, we want to find You as the living star. Shine on us. Lead us. We want to follow You by exercising our spirit to be with You and with the shining saints. Amen, Lord, we come to You in Your word to be under Your shining! May we stay with the shining saints to be led to where the Lord is! May we stay away from any wandering stars so that we may not be led astray! Amen, Lord, we love You and we give You our love today! Amen!

This week we have been enjoying the up-to-date, instant, and living vision of the heavenly Christ as the living star, as we prayerfully considered Matthew chapter 2 and also some other portions in the Bible.

When the Lord Jesus was born, many wonderful events happened; one of these was a star that appeared and guided some wise men from the east to the place where the Lord was.

The Jews in Jerusalem had the knowledge that the Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem, and when the magi arrived there, they informed them of this information.

However, neither the Jews nor the priests nor the scribes went to Bethlehem to see the newborn King of the Jews. In this dark age, the Lord appears as the living star to His seeking ones; no matter whether they are Jews or Gentiles, the living star appears to lead many to Christ.

On the one hand, we need to have the Lord’s fresh appearing, His instant and living vision. On the other hand, we need to have the word of God in our hands, and even more, pray and read the Word of God so that we may be filled with the living word, the enlightening word of God.

What we need is not more doctrines or teachings from the Scriptures but more of the Lord’s living speaking.

We need to have both the living star guiding us to the exact location where the Lord Jesus is, and the living word of the Scriptures to correct us and adjust us.

We as believers in Christ need to be Christ’s faithful followers to be shining and living stars, those who follow Christ as the shining and living star to be His duplication.

We need to give heed to the prophetic word as to a lamp shining in a dark place until Christ as the morning star rises in our heart.

May we be the messengers of the churches today, those who have an ear to hear what the Spirit says to the churches. May we have the Lord’s shining and also His living word!

Stay away from Wandering Stars and be with the Shining Saints in the Local Churches to be led to where Christ is

The mystery of the seven stars which you saw upon My right hand and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Rev. 1:20

The matters of Christ being the living star, finding Christ by the living star, having Christ rise in us as the morning star, and becoming living and shining stars as His duplication, are so positive, and we need to remain in this process of being produced as living stars.

However, there is also a warning, as seen in Jude 12-13; we need to stay away from wandering stars.

These are like hidden reefs in our love feasts, feasting together with us without fear, shepherding themselves.

They are waterless clouds being carried off by winds, autumn trees without fruit, having died twice. They are like wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shames.

These are the hidden reefs in your love feasts, feasting together with you without fear, shepherding themselves; waterless clouds being carried off by winds; autumn trees without fruit, having died twice, rooted up; Wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shames; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of darkness is kept for eternity. Jude 12-13They are wandering stars, for whom the gloom of darkness is kept for eternity.

Wow, what are these people and who are they?

On the positive side, in this dark age, we need to be those who follow Christ as the living star and have Him rise in our heart as the morning star so that we may be shining and living stars.

On the other hand, we need to beware of and stay away from wandering stars.

The metaphor of wandering stars indicates that the erratic teachers, the apostates, were not solidly fixed in the unchanging truths of the heavenly revelation but were wandering about among God’s starlike people. Oh Lord!

A proper star is fixed in its orbit, having a certain position and following a certain trajectory.

A star continues in its course steadfastly, and when we look at the sky, we know where to find it. But there are some who are wandering stars, who have no fixed position or orbit.

Some Christians seem to be stars; it seems that they are shining, but if you follow them, you realise they are wandering stars, for they are not steadfast stars.

They mislead people, and eventually, their followers do not know where they are going.

The wandering stars are themselves wandering, having no ground or standing, and having no way to go on with the Lord.

Today they say one thing, but tomorrow they say something different, for they are wandering. Oh Lord Jesus!

We all can testify that we have seen such Christians, and we always wondered what is going on with them. May we stay away from wandering stars.

How can we recognise such wandering stars? The Lord says that we will know them by their fruit (Matt. 7:16-20).

If we follow the wandering stars, eventually our portion will be the same as theirs – not more shining, not more Christ, but the gloom of darkness that has been kept for them for eternity! Oh Lord!

Whenever we see or sense that someone or some people are wandering stars, we need to stay away from them.

Instead of following such ones, may we be with the shining saints in the local churches so that we may be brought to where the Lord Jesus is!

May we remain with those who are solidly established in the truth in the word of God and in the ministry, those who lead us to Christ!

If we meet someone without a definite standing and a certain course, we should not follow such a one.

By their fruits you will recognize them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. So then, by their fruits you will recognize them. Matt. 7:16-20We need to be those who have a proper standing, which is the local church on the ground of the oneness of the Body of Christ. We need to be with those who are on the right course, which is to go on in the Spirit in the local church.

The Lord Jesus as the morning star is moving among the local churches, the golden lampstands, and the shining stars as the messengers of the churches are in the local churches (Rev. 1:16, 20; 2:1).

And we meet in the local churches as the procedure, not the goal, of God’s purpose; the local churches are the procedure for God to gain the reality of the Body of Christ, consummating in the New Jerusalem.

Anyone who does not teach that the local churches are not the goal of God’s economy but the procedure to reach the goal of the reality of the Body of Christ does not match the need of the ministry of God in the present age.

May we stay away from any wandering stars. Anyone who keeps us from the blending of the churches for the reality of the Body of Christ is a wandering star.

The true stars are those who turn many to righteousness, those who do not lead people astray but who turn them to the right way.

We treasure the ground of the church, and we love standing on the ground of oneness as we practice the church life for the building up of the Body of Christ.

We want to stay away from any wandering stars and remain with the shining saints in the church life in the local churches so that we may find the living Christ and give our love to Him!

Lord Jesus, we love You and we seek You by the living star! May we find You and may we be one with You! May we be those who are living stars just like You, a duplication of Christ as the living star! Amen! Oh Lord, keep us away from any wandering stars! May we realise that there are some who are not solidly fixed in the unchanging truths of the heavenly revelation. May we beware and stay away from those who are wandering about among God’s starlike people. Oh Lord, keep us with the shining saints in the local churches, enjoying You and finding You by the living star! Amen, may we remain in the local churches as the procedure for the reality of the Body of Christ to come into being so that God may gain a corporate expression of Christ! May we remain in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles today so that we may speak the truth to one another in love! Amen, Lord, may we be the true stars who turn many to righteousness! May we not lead anyone astray but turn them to the right way!

Contact and Be with the Living Stars in the Church to be Led to the Place where Jesus Is

For you were once darkness but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light (For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth). Eph. 5:8-9

On the negative side, we need to stay away from wandering stars; on the positive side, we need to realise that the living Star and the living stars are in the local churches, and we need to contact and be with the living stars! Amen!

Today the living Star and the living stars are not far from us – they are in and with the local churches as the practical expressions of the Body of Christ (Rev. 1:11, 20).

Among all the local churches, there are some living stars, some vital and living saints. If we simply contact them and keep company with them, they will lead us to the place where Jesus is.

We all can testify that, as we meet with the saints in the home meetings, group meetings, prayer meetings, and the Lord’s Table meeting, we contact so many saints who are living stars.

If we remain in their company, fellowshipping with them and praying with them, even meeting with them regularly, we are brought to where the Lord Jesus is, and Christ becomes our portion in a living way.

At the same time, we sense that, when we meet some saints, they are wandering stars; they are not here nor there, and they are not solidly established in the truth, no matter how long they have been in the local church.

In Christianity today in general there is so much confusion. There are so many wandering stars, people who call themselves Christians but lead others astray, not to the Lord but to their own work, their own lusts and glory, and even into heresy and division.

There are many dead works, outward manifestations, but without any inward reality, and so many distractions!

May we stay away from wandering stars and keep company with the saints in the local churches who pursue the Lord out of a pure heart together with those who call on the name of the Lord (2 Tim. 2:22).

Thank the Lord that the living Star and the shining stars are not far from us – they are around us in the church life!

May we not be wandering stars but may we be solidly established in the truth in God’s word, be constituted with the healthy teaching of God’s eternal economy, and follow Christ as the living star today!

Your words were found and I ate them, / And Your word became to me / The gladness and joy of my heart, / For I am called by Your name, / O Jehovah, God of hosts. Jer. 15:16May the Lord be merciful to us so that we may always be kept in the right way to meet the Lord, to worship Him, and to offer our love to Him!

Our natural man may not like the narrow path, and our flesh may like more outward manifestations than what we see in the church life today; however, we exercise our spirit and allow the Lord to strengthen us into our inner man.

Our inner man needs to be strengthened with power through the Spirit by the Father so that Christ may make His home in our heart (Eph. 3:14-16).

May the Lord make us all like the magi, following the living star to find and make new discoveries of Christ in order to become His duplication as the living stars (Eph. 5:8-9; Jer. 15:16).

May we daily come to the Lord in spirit to touch Him and in His word in a living way to have His speaking.

May we be the shining stars today, those who have an ear to hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches and who lead many to the way of righteousness.

May we take Christ into us daily, may we live Christ, and may He be formed in us so that we may express Christ.

And may we faithfully and diligently pay the price to meet with the saints who are living stars, staying away from any wandering stars, so that we ourselves may become living stars leading many to righteousness.

Lord Jesus, be merciful to us that we may always be kept in the right way to meet the Lord, to worship Him and to offer our love to Him! Amen, Lord, make us like the magi today, following the living star and making new discoveries of Christ in His word! Oh Lord, make us Your duplication as the living stars! Thank You for putting us in the church life today together with so many other living stars! We want to stay away from any wandering stars and simply keep company with the living and vital saints! Oh, may we pursue Christ with all those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart! May we remain in the God-ordained way for us to serve the Lord, worship Him, and offer our love to Him! Oh Lord, we praise You that the living Star and the living stars are not far from us: they are in and with the local churches as the practical expressions of the Body of Christ! Hallelujah, we can be with those who are living and shining, and we can be led to Jesus to know Him, serve Him, worship Him, and love Him! Amen!

We are aware of today’s confusion. Oh, the dead things! Oh, the frustrations, the distractions of the wandering ones! Anyone who keeps us from the genuine local church and from meeting on the ground of oneness with the Lord’s people is a wandering star. The true stars are those who turn many to righteousness, those who do not lead people astray, but turn them to the right way. Today the way for you and me and for everyone else to find Christ is to see the living star. Hallelujah! Today the star is not far from us—it is with the local churches. Among all the local churches there are some living stars. You simply need to contact them; you need to keep company with them. They will lead you to the place where Jesus is. May the Lord be merciful to us so that we may always be kept in the right way to serve the Lord, to worship Him, and to offer our love to Him. May the Lord make us all like those magi, following the star to find Christ. Today the living star and the living stars are in the local churches. Let us follow them, and let us each be one of them.

Dear brother, may we stay away from any wandering stars, those who are not solidly fixed in the unchanging truths of the heavenly revelation but are wandering about God’s starlike people.

May we personally seek the Lord to find Him by the living star, and may we be in the local churches and with those who are living stars in the local churches!

If we just keep company with the shining saints, we will be led to where Jesus is.

Oh Lord, be merciful to us today that we may be kept in the right way to meet the Lord, worship Him, and offer our love to Him! Keep us with the shining saints so that we may also be shining stars in this dark age!

We need to be living stars – true stars who lead many to Jesus, to righteousness.

We also need to avoid following the wandering stars those who do not have a definite standing in a local church, those who bring in dead things, frustrations and distractions.

We need to be and contact and keep company with the living stars in the proper local churches.

O Lord Jesus! Grant us to be living stars and not to be wandering, to be discerning to whom we contact and keep company with! Amen. Lord keep us with the shining saints to be led more and more to Jesus!

Hallelujah brother! Today, the living star and the living stars are in the local churches.

Those who shine now as living stars will shine as the sun in the coming age.

However, we must be wary of the “wandering stars”, those who have no proper standing and follow the wrong course.

Our proper standing is the local church, and the proper course is the way of the Spirit in the local churches.

May the Lord preserve our hearts to be steadfast in the local church and in pursuing the way of the Spirit in the local church.

Yes Lord, make us shining stars in this dark age.
