In order for us believers in Christ to maintain the newness of our heart and our spirit, we need to be renewed day by day with the fresh supply of resurrection life to become as new as the New Jerusalem; even in the midst of suffering, we need to receive the renewing.
Amen, Lord Jesus, we want to maintain the newness of our heart. Thank You for giving us a new heart and a new spirit. May we remain in the process of being renewed. Amen, renew us a little more today. We exercise our spirit and we set our mind on our spirit so that we may be renewed in the spirit of our mind. Make us as new as the New Jerusalem! Amen, Lord, keep us in the process of being renewed throughout the day! Amen!
We believers in Christ have the life of God in our spirit, but our heart has so many problems; the first of these problems is that we are impure in heart.
Our heart has a di-vision, for we behold more than one object. We behold the Lord, for we love Him, but we also behold other things, for we hold to so many other things. We need to be purified in our heart.
The way to be purified is not by self-introspection or self-analysis, or making a list of things we like and then somehow learning not to like them. Rather, the way we are renewed in our heart, the way we are purified in heart, is by coming to the Lord in prayer and in His word. God’s word is very pure.
When we come to the word of God, when we exercise our spirit to contact the Lord in HIs word, we are washed, cleansed, and purified.
The more we remain prayerfully in the pure word of God, the more we are purified, cleansed, and washed.
In ourselves, even if we don’t do anything evil, we are old and impure; the world around us is very impure and mixed, and when we touch things in the world, we are made impure and unclean. Oh Lord!
There are many things, persons, events, and matters which occupy our heart, being idols to us; we carry our idols in our heart, and Satan has a way to usurp God in our heart.
May we keep coming to the Lord again and again, allowing Him to shine in us and on us, and may we say Amen to His shining, for it is by His shining, exposing, and purging that anything apart from Christ is removed and terminated in us.
Even more, He wants to enlarge our heart and make it as large as His heart, loving and caring for all men.
May we learn to open to Him, even learn to open the areas of our being where He wants to shine and expose, and may we learn to agree with His light for us to be purified and also enlarged in our heart.
We Maintain the Newness of our Heart and Spirit by being Renewed day by day

How we thank and praise the Lord that, at the time of our regeneration, He has given us a new spirit and a new heart (Ezek. 36:27)!
He has taken out of our flesh our heart of stone and gave us a heart of flesh to love Him and love what He loves, and He has put a new spirit in us, for He as the Spirit came into our spirit.
However, as we go on in our Christian life, as we simply live in this world, our new heart and new spirit are made impure and unclean. So we need to maintain the newness of our heart and our spirit day by day.
For us to maintain the newness of our heart and our spirit, we need to be renewed day by day with the fresh supply of the resurrection life so that we may become as new as the New Jerusalem (2 Cor. 4:16-18).
We need to remain in the process of being renewed day by day so that we may maintain the newness of our heart and spirit.
We need to condition our heart and our spirit by having them renewed all the time. The fact is that God did give us a new heart and a new spirit, but we still need to be renewed in our experience. Newness is God; in this whole universe, only God is new.
If we want to be renewed, we need to enjoy God and partake of what God is.
We believers in Christ should be renewed to be as new as the New Jerusalem, and we do this by walking in newness of life (Rom. 6:4) and building up the New Jerusalem by serving in newness of spirit (7:6).
On the one hand, we need to walk in newness of life, and on the other hand, we need to serve in newness of spirit.
A particular way God helps us be renewed is through suffering. God designed that we all who are His chosen people would go through sufferings; there’s no exception to this.
Sufferings are our portion as human beings, and we as believers in particular go through sufferings knowing that we are being renewed.
2 Corinthians 4:16-17 tells us that we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
Sufferings cause our outer man to decay; however, when we turn to the Lord in spirit as we pass through sufferings, our inner man is being renewed day by day. Our momentary lightness of affliction works out for us, more and more surpassingly, an eternal weight of glory.
Through sufferings, we are being transferred from the realm of the old creation into the realm of the new creation; this process of being transferred is suffering (Col. 1:24; 1 Thes. 3:3).
For example, we may think we made a mistake when we married someone, for after some years of marriage we see things in them that we do not like, or we may feel we are not compatible with them.
However, we did not make a mistake, nor did God make a mistake; regardless of how much wisdom you exercise in choosing a spouse, eventually your choice is a “mistake.”
This doesn’t mean that we should never get married so that we don’t have sufferings; whether we get married or not, sufferings are our portion, for the Lord wants us to be renewed and transformed, even to be transferred from the realm of the old creation into the realm of the new creation.
Instead of blaming others or God, instead of trying to escape sufferings, we need to learn to be inwardly happy in our sufferings, opening to the Lord so that He may renew us and transform us, even to make us as new as the New Jerusalem.
While we are in the midst of suffering, we need to receive the renewing; otherwise, even though we pass through suffering, it means nothing to us, unless we open to the Lord to receive the renewing.
Thank the Lord that we have a refuge within us – our spirit (Psa. 91:1), where we can run and hide as we pass through suffering.
Suffering is allowed by God, and sometimes He even arranges it; however, the enemy comes in and accuses God, blames others, and makes us think it is others’ fault or God’s fault.
No matter what happens to us, no matter the suffering, we need to learn to be calm in the midst of suffering so that we may enjoy renewing in our Christian life.
God destined and appointed us to go through suffering; afflictions are God’s allotted portion to us. He has set us, located us, in a situation of suffering and affliction.
May we learn to turn. May we learn to maintain the newness of our heart and our spirit daily, even as we pass through sufferings, so that we may be renewed day by day.
As we contact the Lord in the midst of suffering, we receive the fresh supply of resurrection life, and we are made new, even as new as the New Jerusalem.
Lord Jesus, we want to cooperate with You to maintain the newness of our heart and our spirit. Thank You for giving us a new heart and a new spirit. We come to You, dear Lord, again and again. Keep us exercising our spirit. Keep us turning to You. May we be renewed day by day with the fresh supply of resurrection life so that we may become as new as the New Jerusalem! Oh Lord, more renewing today! Hallelujah, only God is new, and newness is God! Amen, Lord, may we be renewed to be as new as the New Jerusalem! May we walk in newness of life and serve in newness of spirit. We give You our walk, our living, and our service. Oh Lord, even as we pass through suffering, may we receive the renewing! May we turn to You in spirit even in the midst of suffering so that we may receive the fresh supply of resurrection life and be renewed more! Praise the Lord, our outer man is decaying and being consumed, but our inner man is being renewed day by day!
Being Renewed Day by Day by being Revived Every Morning, Setting our Mind on our Spirit, and Receiving the Renewing in the Midst of Suffering

We believers in Christ want to be overcomers, those who are likened to the sun shining forth in the kingdom of their Father (Matt. 13:43).
The sun arises every morning; if we’re to be the overcomers, we also need to rise up in the morning, even every morning, to be revived by the Lord.
Every morning we need to be revived. We need to be revived every morning.
Just as we set our alarm clock to wake us up to go to school or to work, we can make the decision to wake up a bit earlier to contact the Lord in His word and be renewed.
In order for us to be renewed day by day, we need to be revived every morning (Matt. 13:43; Luke 1:78-79; Prov. 4:18; Judg. 5:31; 2 Cor. 4:16). Amen, every morning!
May we follow the sun and be revived, having a new start every morning. We may have had many failures today, but tomorrow morning we can have a new beginning and be renewed again.
We may have had a good time of morning revival with the Lord yesterday, but today we still need to wake up earlier in the morning to spend time with the Lord and be renewed. Every morning, three hundred sixty-five days a year, we can be renewed.
May we make this decision every day, to receive the renewing by being revived every morning! On His side, God has the best provisions to help us receive the renewing.
He gives us the cross, the putting to death of Jesus. The apostle Paul testified that he was daily under the putting to death of Jesus, under the killing of the cross; therefore, he was renewed (2 Cor. 4).
The cross is the greatest help to accomplish the renewing for us. May we learn to turn to our spirit and receive the renewing as we pass through the experiences of the cross.
God also gives us the Holy Spirit so that we may receive and enjoy the renewing of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5).
When we received the Holy Spirit initially, we were regenerated, and this is the beginning of our being renewed. Then, day by day, we need to contact the Lord by exercising our spirit so that we may continually be renewed by the Holy Spirit.
The renewing of the Holy Spirit is metabolic; we are renewed metabolically by the Holy Spirit daily. God also gives us the provision of our mingled spirit; we have a human spirit, which by regeneration became a mingled spirit, and now we can set our mind on our spirit (Rom. 8:6).
The mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. God as the Spirit is in our human spirit, mingled with our spirit as one spirit, and this mingled spirit is spreading into our mind.
The Holy Spirit in our spirit moves, operates, and spreads, seeking to spread into our mind, emotion, and will.
We need to be renewed in the spirit of our mind (Eph. 4:23); as we exercise our spirit, our spirit spreads into our mind to cause the renewing. It is in such a spirit that spreads into our mind that we need to be renewed.
Furthermore, God grants us the provision of suffering; as we pass through suffering, we can run to the high tower of our spirit, the refuge of our spirit, and we are being renewed.
The refuge is our spirit. If we turn from our mind to our spirit, if we set our mind on our spirit, we are renewed in our spirit. We need to be renewed daily in such a way.
Lord Jesus, thank You for giving us the best provisions for us to receive the renewing! Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to come to You in Your word every morning! We want to be revived every morning and renewed day by day. We open to You, dear Lord, and we accept the cross; have Your way to operate through the cross to accomplish the renewing for us. Renew us more today. We exercise to contact You as the Spirit so that we may receive the renewing of the Holy Spirit! Hallelujah, we can daily receive the new supply of the Spirit to be renewed metabolically! Amen, Lord, renew us more in life today. We want to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. May the mingled spirit spread into our mind as we choose to set our mind on our spirit. Oh Lord, we choose to turn to our spirit today! We choose to set our mind on our spirit so that we may receive the renewing! Remind us, dear Lord, that even in our suffering we can receive the renewing of the Holy Spirit by running to the high tower of our spirit!

– Ever true and pure and single / To the Lord our heart must be, / Poor in spirit, ever seeking / God to contact constantly. / Keep our heart, Lord, in love’s freshness, / And our spirit strengthen more, / That in newness of the spirit / We may touch Thee o’er and o’er. (Hymns #743 stanzas 6-7)
– We need a heart in all things pure, / With mind both sound and clear, / To understand His mind and heart / In trembling and in fear. / We need a fervent, loving heart, / A heart on fire with love, / With an emotion filled with zeal / For Him, all else above. (Hymns #744 stanzas 2-3)
– I give my heart to Thee, / O Jesus most desired; / And heart for heart the gift shall be, / For Thou my heart hast fired. / Thou hearts alone wouldst move, / Thou only hearts dost love; / I would love Thee as Thou lov’st me, / O Jesus most desired. (Hymns #543 stanzas 1-2)

Dear brother, for us to maintain the newness of our heart and our spirit, we need to be renewed day by day with the fresh supply of the resurrection life to become as new as the New Jerusalem.
Even when we are in the midst of suffering, we need to receive the renewing.
The Lord renews us through regeneration, the work of the cross, and the renewing of the Holy Spirit. May we be renewed day by day and remain in the process of being renewed!
Amen!!! Hallelujah for God’s provisions. He’s is truly our Jehovah Jireh, our Provider!
He has the best provisions for us to be renewed. Oh we have the provisions of the cross, the Holy Spirit, and the mingled spirit.
Therefore we do not lose heart; but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. Our sufferings and afflictions, which God ordained and appointed, work out for our own good; including our mistakes and wrong choices.
They are the process for us to be made new. As long as we are open to the Lord and our hearts are turned to Him, we can turn to our mingled spirit as our refuge.
We will be hidden, concealed, safeguarded from the attacks. Then everything that we go through will not be a waste but will work out for us, for our renewing, transformation, and glorification.
Praise and worship our only wise God!!!
Yes Lord do such a work on us,renew us day by day.we exercise our spirit to set our mind on the spirit to be renewed in the spirit of our mind.
Wow brother everything ordered by the Lord in our circumstances is intended to create a need in us.
Whenever we are brought to our end and realise I cannot make it progress has begun!
It’s appointed to all humanity to suffer.
We can choose to suffer in vain or we can be renewed in our suffering. We need to learn to be inwardly happy in our sufferings, even to rejoice in our suffering.
The real blessing is not outward peace & joy but renewal in life. We need a new beginning— a revival— every morning.
Our merciful Father has made provision for us in the midst of our sufferings:
1. We have the cross. Like the apostle Paul, we should always be under the killing of the cross.
2. We have the Holy Spirit. He first regenerates us and then renews us day by day.
3. Our human spirit is mingled with the divine Spirit. There, the Holy Spirit dwells, works and renews us.
We must turn from our troublesome mind to our spirit, allowing our mingled spirit to become the spirit of our mind. It’s in the mingled spirit that we are renewed for our transformation…
It is through God’s design that we all go through suffering. Suffering is essential for our transfer from the old creation to the realm of the new creation.
We should be calm and rejoice as this is the real blessing, the renewal day by day. God has the provisions available to us to receive the renewing, the cross, the Holy Spirit and the mingled spirit.
In the midst of our suffering
Love that the veils fall and renew us today for his very divine life in us…
What wisdom God has in having appointed us, regenerated believers, to sufferings so that He may transfer us out of the realm of the old creation into the realm of the new creation! Praise Him!
We must be those who are living according to the unseen realm, being revived and renewed morning by morning and day by day to become the New Jerusalem by walking in newness of life and serving in newness of Spirit as we respond to sufferings by taking refuge in our spirit!
What a mercy that we can receive such a renewing by the cross, the Holy Spirit and our mingled spirit!
Our desperate need every morning is to be revived to that we may shine forth the Father’s nature in the kingdom as His overcomers. For this, the Father renews us daily as His new creation to be newness as He is!
Hallelujah, God imparts His new life with the fresh supply of His resurrection life daily, even today, to renew us from things of the fallen old creation so we can maintain a new spirit and a new heart!
So we thank the Lord for His provisions – the renewing in the killing work of the cross; the new supply of the Holy Spirit daily to metabolically renew us; and, our human spirit mingled with the divine Spirit to renew and transform us!
Though God allows the process of suffering to come our way, our spirit is our safeguard, our refuge from all such “storms of life!” Oh Lord, impart Your laws into our hearts daily to renew us in our spirit!
