As believers in Christ learning from the Lord to pray according to His pattern of prayer, we are inwardly supplied to meet the high demand of the heavenly kingdom, for we are praying ourselves into God; we need to spend time with the Lord to pray ourselves into God.
Amen, Lord Jesus, we want to learn from You to pray and even how to pray so that we may pray ourselves into God. Teach us how to pray, Lord, so that we may be persons who are not just in the flesh but even more, are in the divine and mystical realm to live Christ and fulfil the purpose of God. Pray in us. Pray through us. Oh Lord, may Your kingdom come and may Your will be done! Amen!
The Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6 is the prayer that expresses God’s will. God has a will, He has a kingdom to bring in on the earth, and He desires us as His people to pray in this way.
We need to pray in such a way that we bring in the kingdom of God on earth and release the will of God on earth.
This doesn’t mean that we merely need to recite in a mindless way what the Lord taught us to pray in Matthew 6; rather, we need to exercise our spirit and pray in this way, one with the Lord!
First, we pray for the Father’s name to be sanctified, for the kingdom of the Son to come, and for the will of God the Spirit to be done.
Our prayer begins with the Triune God, in particular, with the Father and His name. We pray to the Father, seeking His name to be sanctified.
We yearn for the kingdom of the Lord to come and for His will to be done.
We are not here to merely present our needs to God; we first pray related to the Divine Trinity, praying in such a way that God would do what He wants to do.
Then, we pray some protective prayers, that is, we pray for our needs and also for the Lord to protect us. We pray that God would give us our daily bread, for we depend on His supply.
We pray that He would forgive us our debts, even as we have forgiven our debtors.
And we pray that God would not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
We recognise that we need the Lord’s supply, we need His forgiveness, and we need His protection.
We need Him to do everything in us and for us. Our daily supply comes from Him.
We are forgiven by Him, and we learn to forgive our debtors. And only God can deliver us from the evil one and not lead us into temptation. So we recognise our weakness and we pray to the Lord in this way. Amen!
Extol the Triune God: For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever! Amen!

The prayer to the Father in Matthew 6 concludes with three reverent praises as extolling prayers.
Matthew 6:13 concludes with, For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen! The kingdom is of the Son, for the Lord Jesus came to bring in His kingdom on the earth, and He even sowed Himself as the seed of the kingdom into our hearts.
The power is of the Spirit, for the Spirit is the power of God operating in us and upon us to fulfil the purpose of God.
The glory is of the Father, for He gets all the glory. The kingdom is of the Son, which is the realm in which God exercises His power.
The power is of the Spirit, which carries out God’s intention so that the Father may have His corporate expression in glory.
The pattern of the Lord’s prayer begins with the Divine Trinity (Your name be sanctified, Your kingdom come, Your will be done) and ends with the Divine Trinity (Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory).
Furthermore, this prayer begins with God the Father and ends with God the Father, for God the Father is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega.
Our prayer should be in this way, in God, from God, with God, and for God; our prayer should be one with God so that we may be brought into God. What a prayer!
This is a prayer taught by the Lord in His supreme teaching, beginning with God the Father and ending with God the Father.
When we pray such a prayer, when we pray in this way, we have an increased desire to seek the kingdom of the heavens.
We realise that the kingdom of the heavens is the Father’s heart’s desire, and we pray in this way.
As we pray in this way, we are supplied with the grace we need to fulfil all the supreme and strict requirements of the kingdom!
How can we meet the high requirements of the kingdom? It is only by praying as the Lord has taught us to pray. We need to pray in this way.
Sometimes we recite the prayer, but reciting is not enough; we need to exercise our spirit and be one with the Lord as we pray.
As we pray in this way, we are seeking something for the Father’s heart’s desire; we are joined to Him to pray for His name to be sanctified, for His kingdom to come, and for His will to be done.
This is how we can pray one with Him for His heart’s desire; our prayer brings us into an organic union with the Lord and causes His heart’s desire to become our heart’s desire.
Also, as we pray in this way, we have the supply to fulfil something for the Father’s good pleasure.
Not only are we joined to the Lord as one spirit and not only do we seek His heart’s desire to be carried out on earth, but we are also inwardly supplied to carry this out.
The supply comes from our prayer in oneness with the Lord and according to His desire; this enables us to fulfil something for the Father’s good pleasure.
May we be one with the Lord in this matter today. May we learn to pray according to the Lord’s pattern of prayer; may the Lord’s prayer become our prayer.
May we practice daily not only to bring our needs to the Lord or pray for different situations but even more, may we pray according to the pattern of the Lord’s prayer so that we may have an increased seeking for what is on God’s heart and we may be supplied to fulfil something for the Father’s good pleasure.
Lord Jesus, we praise You and we extol You! Hallelujah, Jesus is Lord! We offer You reverent praises and extolling prayers today! Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever! Amen! Yes, Lord Jesus, Yours is the kingdom, the realm in which God exercises His power! Lord, Yours is the power, for the power is of the Spirit to carry out God’s intention! Father, Yours is the glory, for You are gaining a corporate expression in glory according to Your heart’s desire! Amen, praise the Lord! We love You, Lord! We seek Your kingdom, the kingdom of the heavens, for this is the Father’s heart’s desire. Oh Lord, we seek Your kingdom first and Your righteousness. We pray according to the pattern of the Lord’s prayer, and we desire what You desire! Hallelujah, as we pray in this way, we have the divine supply of grace to fulfil all the supreme and strict requirements of the kingdom of the heavens for God’s good pleasure! Amen!
Spend Time with the Lord to Pray Ourselves into God to Enjoy all His Riches

In Luke 11:1-13 the disciples saw the Lord praying and, after He finished praying, one of them asked Him to teach them how to pray.
The Lord said, When you pray, say, Father, Your name be sanctified; Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone indebted to us. And to not bring us into temptation (vv. 2-4).
This can be considered an abbreviated version of the Lord’s prayer seen in Matthew 6. If we pray according to the Lord’s instructions seen in Luke 11, the result is that we pray ourselves into God.
When we pray in this way, when we pray the Lord’s prayer and touch the Lord, we no longer remain in ourselves but pray ourselves into God.
Often in our experience, we are not in God; rather, we are distracted from God, and we do not remain in God. So we need to pray ourselves into God.
If we check with our daily experience, we will realise that we many times are not in God but rather, we’re distracted from God.
Especially in the world today with so many things going on, so much entertainment, so much news, so many events, and so many things available to us in the palm of our hands via our smartphones, we are easily distracted from God.
We may start by checking our email or seeing if we have any text messages, and we are distracted for many hours by an endless flood of notifications, news, videos, and many other things.
We need to learn to pray ourselves into God. How do we do this? It is by praying in the way the Lord taught us.
We may discover that we are not in God, and we can simply pray, Father, Your name be sanctified! Your kingdom come!
As we exercise to pray in this way a number of times, we touch Him from the depths of our being, and we pray ourselves into God. We can testify of this from our experience.
If we just set aside any distracting things and simply pray in this way, the way the Lord taught us, we will find that we are in God.
Once we have prayed ourselves into God, we simply enjoy Him and receive Him with all His riches. He is so rich to us. He supplies us. He becomes our inward nourishment and joy.
Before we pray ourselves into God, we are outside of God, and we have nothing to do with God. But when we pray according to the Lord’s pattern, we pray ourselves into God, and we enjoy God with all His riches in Christ.
May we do this day by day, and may we start early in the morning.
Because we’re easily distracted from God, we should spend time every morning with Him, praying ourselves into Him (Psa. 5:3; Isa. 50:4).
Every morning we need to spend time with the Lord before all things. We shouldn’t say we don’t have time; if we think we don’t have time, we should rise a little earlier.
If we rise up a little bit earlier than we usually do, we will surely have time.
Especially as we learn to serve the Lord and minister to the saints, we need to seek to be filled with the Lord in our personal time with Him. If we are not filled with the Lord, we have nothing to minister to others.
May the Lord grant us every morning to spend time with Him, praying ourselves into Him.
For example, a brother may lose his temper with his wife at night; when he rises up the next morning, he rises up outside of God. So he needs to pray himself into God.
He needs to contact the Lord by exercising his spirit and praying as the Lord has taught us, and he will pray himself into God.
When we discover we are distracted by an advertisement or by something we see in the news or on our phone, we simply need to turn to the Lord again and pray, even pray ourselves into God.
We may tell Him, Father, forgive me as I also forgive others, and this will bring us out of ourselves and into God.
We need to practice this. We may walk to the bus stop and wait for the bus, and there may be some delays; we can simply pray ourselves into God.
We may be driving to work or to the meeting, and we can simply pray, Father, Your name be sanctified, Your kingdom come, Your will be done! In this way, we contact the Lord in spirit.
However, if our way of praying distracts us from the Lord and does not bring us into Him, we should change our way of praying so that we pray ourselves into Him.
We may pray in such a way that we are not brought into God but rather, we may accuse or criticise others in our prayers, or we may express our being upset with a particular matter.
Someone may have offended us, and in our prayer, we may tell the Lord make this one realise what he has done, for he did this and that to us. This is not to pray ourselves into God, and such a prayer does not lead us into God.
So we need to change our way of prayer. When we realise that our prayer doesn’t lead us into God, we simply need to exercise our spirit and come back to the Lord in spirit.
May we give up any accusation, condemnation, and criticism, and simply pray for the Lord’s kingdom to come and His will to be done.
Even in praying for others, instead of praying that the Lord would help them in this or that way, or that He would give us more love and care for them, we need to pray as the Lord taught us, praying ourselves into God.
Lord Jesus, we want to learn to pray in such a way that we pray ourselves into God. Amen, Lord, we admit that we are not in God all the time, and we acknowledge that we are so easily distracted from God. We come back to You, Lord, by exercising our spirit. We love You and we open to You. Father, may Your name be sanctified! Lord Jesus, may Your kingdom come! Amen, may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Give us today our daily bread, for we depend on You as our daily supply. Forgive us, Father, for all our debts, for we also forgive our debtors. We need Your forgiveness. Do not lead us into temptation, Lord, for we are so weak, and we realise our weakness. Deliver us from the evil one, for he wants to tempt us! Amen, Lord, for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever! Amen! We praise You! We want to remain in You! Keep us in our spirit, where You are! Oh Lord, You are our everything! We love being here, in God, enjoying all the riches of God in Christ! Hallelujah!

Because we are so easily distracted, we need to come to the Lord especially in the morning to pray, even to pray ourselves into God.
If we just take the Lord’s prayer and exercise our spirit to pray it, we will contact Him and pray ourselves into God to enjoy all His riches.
May we learn to pray in this way. May we come to the Lord and pray to touch Him throughout the day to remain in God.
Amen brother. We’re always easily distracted.
Only prayer & praise can bring us back to God.
We have this unceasing need to pray ourselves into God, and the best way to do this is according to the pattern in the Lord’s famous prayer in Matthew 6 and Luke 11.
We must devote time each day to pray ourselves into God.
Only when we’re in God can we live according to God.
Ameeen!!!
Wow!!! The pattern of prayer that the Lord taught the disciples in Matthew 6 is composed of 3 threes: the three sections or 3 prayers concerning the triune God; the prayers and requests concerning us; and the three reverent praises as extolling prayers.
The three basic prayers concerning God are related to the Divine Trinity; “Your name be sanctified” is related mainly to the Father; “Your kingdom come,” to the Son; and “Your will be done,” to the Spirit.
The three requests concerning our need are protective prayers: “Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
The prayer to the Father concludes with three reverent praises as extolling prayers: “For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. The kingdom is of the Son, which is the realm in which God exercises His power, and the power is of the Spirit, which carries out God’s intention so that the Father may have His corporate expression in glory. The pattern of the Lord’s prayer begins with the Divine Trinity and ends with the Divine Trinity. It also begins with God the Father and ends with God the Father; God the Father is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. Such a critical prayer increases our seeking of the kingdom of the heavens as the Father’s heart’s desire and affords us our need of the divine supply of grace to fulfill all the supreme and strict requirements of the kingdom of the heavens for God’s good pleasure.

A very good hymn on this topic is, Pray with one accord in spirit. Follow along via Hymnal.net and listen to it/sing it via Youtube here.
1. Pray with one accord in spirit,
Not according to our thought,
But alone by the anointing,
As the Lord has ever sought.
Pray with one accord in spirit,
Not according to our thought,
But alone by the anointing,
As the Lord has ever sought.
2. Pray with one accord in spirit,
By the cross deny the soul;
All desires and all intentions
Let the Spirit now control.
3. Pray with one accord in spirit,
Pray as in the heavenlies;
All the earthly interests treading,
Fight the principalities.
4. Pray with one accord in spirit,
Supplicate relatedly;
Seek the Lord, His mind, His leading,
In the Spirit’s harmony.
5. Pray with one accord in spirit,
Pray and watch persistently;
For God’s kingdom and His glory,
Pray and watch in harmony.
6. Pray with one accord in spirit
Seeking God in unity;
In the Spirit of the Body
Ever pray in harmony.

Amen, Lord Jesus teach us to pray ourselves into God. Keep us in God.
Man has fallen and was separated from God.
We need to pray ourselves into God to be in Him and receive His riches.
Yet we are distracted.
May we pray a simple prayer over and over so that we are in God constantly
Let’s dive deeper into this. The Lord’s Prayer is like a roadmap to intimacy with God, and it’s bookended by the Divine Trinity – Father, Son, and Spirit. Starting with God the Father and ending with Him too, emphasises that He’s the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
The three praises at the end aren’t just fancy words; they’re the heartbeat of our faith:
Praying like this shifts our focus to God’s kingdom, aligning our desires with His. And when we pray “according to the Lord’s instructions” (Luke 11:1-13), we’re not just speaking words – we’re entering God’s presence, getting distracted by life’s noise, and praying our way back to Him.
How’s that resonate with you?
