We can be Christians for many years and only “accidentally touch our spirit”, not knowing that we have a mingled spirit and that the Lord as the Spirit is joined to our spirit (1 Cor. 6:17). We need to pray that the Lord would enlighten us to see and know our mingled spirit – the divine Spirit joined to and mingled with our human spirit – so that we may enter into the intrinsic significance of God’s dynamic salvation in Christ (Rom. 8:2; 2 Cor. 13:14; Acts. 26:18; Eph. 1:13-14). If we know our spirit, we will refuse to live, do anything or go anywhere apart not in our spirit! The Christian life is altogether a matter of living and being in our spirit! the Spirit with our spirit is the secret of participating in God’s dynamic salvation
we are joined to the Lord as one spirit, and now we live a life in our mingled spirit
Just as the branches in the vine absorb all the riches of the vine and bear fruit, so we as branches in Christ the vine absorb all the riches of Christ! We have been rooted and grounded in Christ, we are one spirit with the Lord, and we need to remain here in this organic union absorbing all the riches of Christ into our being. In this organic union, in this eternal kiss between God and man in our mingled spirit, we are made one with God and we are blended together in life organically to be one spirit! The Heart of the Divine Revelation – an overview of the four focal books
We are not here to pursue a religion or a moral and godly life. In the Old Testament we see many teachings to help people live a pious life. The Psalmists lived a pious and godly life, they loved Jehovah, they walked with God, they delighted int he law of God – but in the New Testament we see a life in which we live out the Christ we enjoy and experience! This is the heart of the Bible! The Lord’s recovery is not to recover anything else but the knowing and experiencing Christ in all our daily living! daily growing in the divine life by having the element of God being added to us
Whenever we feel weak in our spirit, our mind, or our body toward the things of God, we need to call on the name of the Lord. When we call on the Lord’s name we actually breathe in the divine life, which is Christ as the embodiment of God realized as the Spirit. When we call on the name of the Lord, the entire Triune God is added to us in the Spirit, and we grow with the element of God which is added to us. This is to know God and experience Him in the way of life, daily, even moment by moment. In this way, God grows in us daily – and our Christian life and growth is normal, healthy, and proper. the processed Triune God has come into us and dwells in us as the Spirit in our spirit
The Triune God is a mystery – we cannot understand with our limited human mind and understanding HOW CAN IT BE that God is One yet Three. The Father, the Son, and the Spirit are One, co-existing (existing at the same time) and co-inhering (existing in one another). This is a mystery… But what we know from the Bible, especially from Romans 8, is that the Spirit who indwells us brings the entire Triune God into us! What we have in us is a mystery – the Spirit dwells in us, Christ the Son is in us, and God the Father is in us – the entire Triune God is in us, being made real to us and applied to us by and as the Spirit! living the divine life by minding the things of the Spirit and being led by the Spirit
We need to mind the things of the Spirit by setting our mind on the things of the Spirit (Rom. 8:5-6; 1 Cor. 2:14) – these things are the deep things of God (1 Cor. 2:10-11) concerning Christ as our all-inclusive portion. We should not allow our mind to be absent, vacant, empty, wandering around, flying all over the earth – we need to learn to set our mind on the spirit and on the things of the Spirit! Our mind needs to be busy and occupied with the things concerning Christ not only in the meetings but also in our daily life, our family life, our school life, at work, etc. [continue reading this portion of enjoyment from Romans 8 online]
we need to receive God’s call, come together, seek Him, and be Gideon’s army (WST 2011)
We today need to blow the trumpet of the gospel to the other young people around us! Our pitchers (our love of ourselves, our “face”) need to be shattered so that we are no longer bound by worrying about what others think about us, but bold to speak in the name of the Lord. Finally, we need to hold up our “torches” which represent our testimony before the ones we speak to. We are luminaries in the world shining out as children of God (Phil. 2:15).
