Recently I have been pondering on the matter of a healthy balance of studying whilst maintaining my enjoyment and love for the Lord. I am still in the process of learning and experiencing living this healthy life but here are some insights into this daily life. We as Christian students on the campus need to see our studying in the light of God’s Economy. Now you may ask, what do you mean by this statement? [read more online]
being a Christian student on the campus: seeing our studying in the light of God’s economy
Life is the way to fulfill God’s purpose; the Lord’s recovery is a recovery of truth and life
If we lose the truth and life in the Word of God we lose everything, and all is left is what Christianity has in general today: human organization, methods, good teachings, outward things, a social gathering, and a feel-good gospel. But we need to see that today the Lord’s recovery is a recovery of the truth and life! This is what the Lord desires – He wants the church to know Him as truth and receive Him as life! The content of the church should be the increase and the growth of Christ in us as truth and life.
we need to be constituted with the truth and have the solid truth deposited into our being
If all we receive when we read the Bible is inspiration, this is like a vapor – it doesn’t stay for long. But if we dig into the Word and study the Word and the ministry which opens up the Word, committing the truths to our memory and even understanding them in the divine light, the truth in the Word of God becomes the solid truth in our being. If we don’t understand the truths in the Bible, they can’t get into us. The truth gets into our being through our mentality, our understanding, and it becomes a constant and long-term nourishment for our whole life!
the divine truth is revealed in the Bible, the Word of God; we need to be absolute for the truth!
The first and foremost matter in the Lord’s recovery is NOT a person and is NOT an experience – it is THE TRUTH. What brought us into the Lord’s recovery and what keeps us here is not merely the sweet church life, the vital groups, the gospel preaching, the rich meetings, or even some persons who are enjoying the Lord very much and are our patterns. The first great pillar in the Lord’s recovery is the Truth, and what brought us into the Lord’s recovery is the truth. The extent to which the Lord can recover our being to His original intention is the extent to which we are constituted with the truth.
we need to see the divine stream and keep ourselves in the unique flow of God today!
Whenever we do things without the Head and without the Body as the reality, we are in a movement. We may get some people to follow us and do something good for the Lord – but if we initiate things and do things without the Head and without the fellowship of the Body (Col. 2:19), we may be in a movement of man outside of the divine stream. If there’s no prayer, no fellowship, no Body of Christ, then there’s no flow, no divine stream
God is a flowing stream of water of life, and He rules in us by watering us and giving us to drink
God Himself is the fountain, the source, Christ the Son is the spring of this water, and the Spirit is the living stream – flowing all the time! Praise the Lord, the divine stream has reached us! When we believed into the Lord, the flowing Triune God entered into us and now He flows as the Spirit within our spirit, even in our whole being. God does everything by the means of this flow – in the divine stream there’s the tree of life (the life-suppy and nourishment), and as we drink of the river of life, we are brought under God’s dominion and rule! Praise the Lord – we are in the divine stream!
the reigning of Christ will be in righteousness and in justice, by which peace will be ushered in
Today we as believers in the Lord need to learn to submit to the Lord’s throne – we need to set Him as the King in righteousness in our being. As Matt. 6:33 says, we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all the other things that we need will be added to us. The reality of the kingdom today is in the church life – here we learn to live out the righteousness expressed by keeping the new law of the kingdom. In other words, in the church life today we learn to live out Christ as our righteousness. When we live out Christ as our righteousness in the church life, we have peace!
