The clearest revelation of the Divine Trinity is in Matthew 28:19, where we are commissioned by the Lord Jesus to go and baptise the repentant people into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; the name denotes the person, there’s one name for the Triune God, for God is three-in-one, and we’re baptised into the Triune God to be brought into an organic union with Him.
Amen, Lord, thank You for this wonderful organic union we are brought into by virtue of our faith and baptism! Hallelujah, we believe into the Lord Jesus and we are baptised into the Triune God to be brought into oneness with God! Amen, Lord, we open to You today. Keep us in the organic union with You. Unveil us to see what it means for us to live in the organic union with the Triune God. Praise the Lord, we are one with the Lord in spirit today! Amen!
This week we come to another crucial aspect of the all-inclusive Christ seen in the Gospel of Matthew, Christ as the Centre of the Processed Triune God.
Our Christ is so rich! He is all-inclusive. He is more than our Healer, our Redeemer, our Saviour, our Light, our Salvation, and our life.
We need to be unveiled to see that Christ is the One who is the centre, the focal point, of the processed Triune God for the fulfilment of God’s eternal purpose.
As we enjoy and experience such a One, we become part of His building, and we express Him corporately.
If we look at the matter of the Triune God, we realise that God is uniquely one and at the same time He is three; He is three yet one.
For centuries, many Bible students and theologians tried to explain such a mystery: how can someone be one yet three, three yet one?
Some have used words such as essence, substance, or even the Greek word, hypostasis to express or describe such a mystery.
In His essence, God is uniquely on, even though He is revealed as the Father, the Son, and the Spirit; They are one, for there is only one God.
In essence, God is one, but in substance, They are not the same – they are distinct. There is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, who are distinctively three, but not separate nor inseparable.
This is why some have used the word, hypostases or hypostasis to describe this mystery. It is like a table having three legs; hypo means from beneath, and stasis means support.
It is like a table with three legs which support it from underneath. God is one yet three, three yet one; so the word Triune was coined; we now call God, the Triune God.
And Christ is the centre of the processed Triune God! Amen!
When we’re Baptised into the Name of the Triune God, we’re Baptised into an Organic Union with Him!

If anyone has any doubt that God is Triune, three yet one, he only needs to read Matthew 28:19, where we see the clearest revelation of the Divine Trinity.
The Lord here says, Go therefore and disciple all the nations, baptising them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
“Into the name” denotes the person; the name denotes the person, for the person is the reality of the name. Jesus is the name we call, and when we call on Him, we get the Triune God.
We are baptised into the name of the Triune God – there is one name, but there are three of the Triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.
To be baptised is to be baptised into the name, the person, of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; this is to be baptised into the organic union with the processed Triune God.
The name is not just an empty designation; the name is the person. Christianity today practices baptism, and we do also; we may baptise people almost every week.
But when we baptise someone, do we have the conviction and assurance that we are not merely baptising them into the water or into the Christian faith but into the Triune God? Do we just carry out some kind of formality, a routine? We need to baptise others into the name of the Triune God.
The ones who are baptised should have the full assurance that, as they are put into the water, they are being put into the Triune God, into the wonderful person of the Triune God so that they may enter into an organic union with Him.
The spiritual reality of our baptism is that we are brought into an organic union with the Triune God.
Just as a tree is grafted, that is, a branch from a poorer tree from a similar family is grafted into a richer tree from the same family, and the result is that the branch bears fruit by abiding in the new tree, so we are grafted into Christ by faith and baptism.
We are brought into a union with Him in spirit; there’s mutual penetration, flow, and life going back and forth, and we abide in Him and He abides in us.
The fruit is a hybrid fruit, which is both from us and the Triune God, both from the branch and the vine.
Thank the Lord that we are put into Him and He is put into us.
When we are put into the waters of baptism, we’re put into the Triune God, and when we rise up from the waters of baptism, we rise up joined with the Triune God organically.
This is why many who get baptised, after their baptism, have wonderful experiences of the Triune God, for now they are in a new realm, where they are joined organically to the Triune God!
Amen, the word into in Matthew 28:19 indicates union, as we also see in Romans 6:3, Galatians 3:27, and 1 Corinthians 12:13.
We are baptised into the Triune God – we are baptised into the name of the Triune God to be put into God and be in an organic union with Him! Praise the Lord!
When we are baptised into the name of the Triune God, we are baptised into the spiritual and mystical union with Him. Hallelujah!
There is one name for the Divine Trinity; this name is the sum total of the Divine Being, equivalent to His person.
The name is all-inclusive. Everything He is, everything He has, and everything He has accomplished and attained is included in the name.
When we’re baptised into the name of the Triune God, we are immersed into all that the Triune God is.
Baptism is by immersion, not merely by sprinkling or any other kind of practice, for through baptism we’re immersed into the Triune God.
We all who were baptised into Christ have put on Christ; we were put into Christ, and we put on Christ.
At the same time, we who were baptised into the name of the Triune God were given to drink one Spirit, for the Spirit is the reality of the Triune God.
On the one hand, we have been put into the Triune God, and on the other hand, the Triune God has been put into us.
We are immersed into the Triune God by faith and baptism into Him, and He is infused into us, for we drink the one Spirit.
The Spirit is the consummation of the Triune God to be the reality of all that God is for us to be baptised into and for us to drink.
In this way, we have an organic union with the Lord, and we need to live and walk, even have our whole being with all our daily activities, in this organic union, so that we may live the church life for the corporate expression of the Triune God.
May the Lord unveil to us this in a fresh way.
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see a fresh revelation of the Divine Trinity – the Father, the Son, and the Spirit! Hallelujah, when we were baptised into the name of the Triune God, we were baptised into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit! Amen, Lord, we believe that through baptism we are put into the Triune God, we’re immersed into the Triune God, so that we may enter into an organic union with the Triune God! Hallelujah, we’re baptised into the name, the very person, of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit so that we may be brought into an organic union with the processed Triune God! Wow, we believers in Christ who have been baptised into the name of the Triune God are now joined to the Lord organically to be one! Amen, Lord, keep us in this organic union today. Keep us in the mingled spirit, enjoying the spiritual and mystical union with the Triune God today! May we live in the spirit today, keeping ourselves in the organic union with You all the time!
God is Three-in-One – He is One God yet He is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit

Sometimes we may read the Bible, especially the New Testament, and we may wonder why God revealed Himself as the Father, the Son and the Spirit; why does the Triune God have to be so complicated?
According to Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14, God is one yet three, three yet one; He is three-in-one. He is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.
There is one name, but there is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit that are attached to the name.
When the Lord Jesus spoke of being baptised into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the name is singular in the original text.
This means that the Father, the Son, and the Spirit are three, yet the name is one. Wow, there’s one name for three persons – this is really mysterious, revealing to us that God is three-in-one!
When we call on His name, Oh Lord Jesus, we receive not just Jesus but also the Father and the Spirit.
When we are baptised into the name of the Triune God, we are baptised into the name of Jesus, and we enter into an organic union with the Triune God!
We may call Him Jesus, we call Him Father, and sometimes we call Him Spirit; when we call on one, we get all three!
The three of the Godhead are inseparable. The name for three person is really mysterious.
This is why many times in Christianity when others pray they have to mention the three of the Godhead, saying things such as praying in the name of the Father by the power of the Spirit and assisted by the Son. This is very confusing.
May we not be confused concerning the Triune God; rather, may we be infused with the Triune God in Christ as the Spirit as our life and our everything today!
We do not have three Gods – we have one God, who is three-in-one; we have a Triune God! Our God, the Triune God, is one, yet three.
When we call on the name of the Lord Jesus, we get the Father and the Spirit along with the Son.
When we are baptised into the name of Jesus, we are baptised into the Triune God and we’re brought into an organic union in spirit with the entire Triune God!
May we ask the Lord to shine on us in this matter and unveil us, even remove old concepts and knowledge so that we may see something fresh regarding the Triune God.
Although God is uniquely one, yet there are three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. The Father is the One who plans; He is the source.
The Son is the One who came to accomplish what the Father planned. And the Spirit as the reality is here to apply what the Father planned and what the Son has accomplished.
Each one has His particular function and characteristics; They are distinct, but they cannot be separated.
This is truly a mystery! This is why we can never understand the Triune God, but we can be brought into an organic union with the Triune God when we exercise our spirit to believe into Him and be baptised into the name of the Triune God.
When we are put into the waters of baptism and we exercise our spirit, calling on the name of the Lord, even though we may not fully understand what happens, we enter into a spiritual and mystical union with the tree-in-one God, the Triune God!
In this organic union with Him, we enjoy all that He is, and what He is becomes ours for our enjoyment and experience.
We enjoy the processed and consummated Triune God as the Spirit in our spirit for the church life so that we may fulfil God’s eternal purpose.
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see that God is both one and three, three and one, the Triune God! May we see that there is one name yet there are three – the Father, the Son, and the Spirit! Hallelujah, the Father God is the source and the planner! Praise the Lord, Christ the Son is the Accomplisher! Amen, God the Spirit applies and makes real what the Father plans and what the Son accomplishes! Oh Lord, we open to You today. We believe into You and we are one with You! We believe that, through faith and baptism into the name of the Triune God, we are immersed into the Triune God and we have an organic union with the Triune God! Wow, we are one with the Lord in spirit today! Amen, Lord, keep us in this organic union with You today! May we enjoy and experience all that God has and is in the Son and as the Spirit through the exercise of our spirit! Praise the Lord, all that the Triune God is, has, and has accomplished can be applied to us in our experience through the exercise of our spirit! Amen!

The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 1031-1032, by Witness Lee
Our God is one yet three; He is the three-in-one God, the Triune God.
By being baptised into the name of the Triune God, we were brought into an organic union with the Triune God.
This is in spirit. When we exercise our spirit, we enjoy all that the Father, the Son, and the Spirit is, for we have a spiritual and mystical union with the Triune God! Wow!
The clearest revelation of the Divine Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is in Matthew 28:19. Our God is one yet three; three yet one.
Although it speaks of the three yet there is only one name and we need to baptise people into the name which denotes the person of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, into the organic union with the processed Triune God.
In this mystical, spiritual, and organic union the ones baptised may enjoy the riches of the Father, the riches of the Son, and the riches of the Spirit because these ones have been baptised into the riches of the triune God.
In Acts to be baptised is to baptised into the name of the Lord Jesus, that is, into the Lord Himself to indicate that the Lord Jesus is the embodiment, the totality of the triune God.
In I Cor to be baptised is to be baptised in the Spirit and the Spirit is the reality of Christ, the realisation of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the consummation of the triune God for our enjoyment and participation of the triune God through the organic union for the church life.
Amen Lord Jesus, thank you for the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, forever be in our presence Lord Jesus!
Amen! Our baptism is one of the great events in the spiritual & mystical realm.
We are baptised into the Triune God, into Jesus, and into the Spirit. Jesus is the totality of the Triune God, and the Spirit is the realisation of Jesus.
This means that whatever the Father, the Son and the Spirit have become ours.
Our commission is to bring as many as possible into this divine-human reality.
Amen, brother!
When it comes to the matter of the Triune God, I must confess that I struggle with the theoretical and doctrinal constructs. I can hardly understand myself sometimes, let alone the creator of the universe.
With simplicity of mind and spirit, I only turn to my spirit and call on the Lord to have mercy on me to enjoy His rich dispensing in my spirit, praising Him that He counted others and myself worthy to bring into an organic union with Him!
Brother, I simply don’t debate the Triune God, nor dare claim the ability to any explanation! It’s mercy all, immense and free!
Amen. We are one with the Triune God, and whatever He is and has is ours in the organic union with Him.
Praise the Lord brother. We are one in the Triune God and have a relationship with the Triune God in spirit and enjoy all the Father, Son and Spirit is. Keep us turning to our spirit to contact you moment by moment.
